Oh, Sony, this is just too funny.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm Lets see,
Sony Move = Having to move your arms about like a loony
Nintendo Wii = Having to move your arms about like a loony
Mickeysoft Kinect/Natal = Move your entire body about like a loony
PC = Move 1 hand over keyboard and 1 hand on the mouse like a real man/woman

PC wins everytime.

Microsoft did one of these as well.

I think Kinect is looking best personally, because Move is just like the Wii. But overall, they all suck.
No buttons is really, really going to bite Microsoft hard. Basically, bye bye FPS', racing games etc unless you want a very watered down version of them.
I'm not going to buy any form of motion control to play FPS' though, that's what a controller is for. Motion controls should have specific games made to the strengths of such a system.
Really? Motion control is far more precise for FPS', in the same way a mouse is far better than a controller for FPS'. Kinetic is doing nothing that the eyetoy hasn't done before, with Move being the most powerful and all the strengths of wii and Kinetic put into one device. Whether it's actually any decent, as I can't stand the wii and Kinetic in my eyes looks awful, is another thing. But on bare paper, Move easily wins hands down.
That's like saying that newest cars aren't doing anything that vintage cars haven't already done before. It's clear that Kinect is doing a lot that the Eyetoy hasn't done before. For starters, it doesn't even work the same way and is a much more soophisticated and elegant solution, hardware wise. Sure you can pull up some youtube videos of the Eyetoy being 'exactly like' Kintect, but you'd have to be aware of the obvious fallacy in saying that. Kinect is a progression from what cameras in the past have done and naturally shares in many aspects, but just like that Lexus and that vintage car, what's under the hood is a different story. To write off Kinect as an Eyetoy clone is dismissive to an incredibly narrowminded degree. Really, none of the consoles today are doing anything that 'hasn't been done before', and nor are any of the modern control pads. See what I'm saying.
The reason I'm 100% happy to lump eyetoy and Kinetic under the same umbrella is because Kinetic has the exact same problems as Eyetoy, the main one being no buttons at all. With the awful resolution for the camera, it's not going to be precise enough to pick up on small movements such as a trigger pull, instantly messing games like FPS' and racers. Also, and this is a problem inherent with all motion controllers, that there is no feedback. So whereas part of the control system may be more immersive, other parts instantly break it - shooting with no recoil, swinging a sword through a shield and so on. It is obviously a much more advanced piece of hardware, but it doesn't deal with any of the main problems of the past.
I agree with you all the way that thing won't feature accuracy as its strong point and a lot of interactivity will be assisted, but I don't think it matters much for the applications that it is intended for. It's not device for playing the games you or I (probably) play. However, I remember that awful Eyetoy on the Ps2 and though it and Kinect share some issues, its clear to see that Kinect is a vast improvement and doing things that Eyetoy would at least struggle to do, or simulate doing. Of course it's not perfect but isn't that how technology develops? I think we are all far too spoilt today. We can't abide by the interim steps that are essential for achieving the Sci Fi dreams we have. I can imagine that Kintect II will be so much better and Kintect III, astounding. But it won't be for playing games as we like them now. I don't want to use the word 'hardcore' because any game can be hardcore independant of how itis controlled. I would love to see a hardcore Kinect game - it would be something I have never played before.

One thing that is kind of...odd about Move. "Color changing sphere."
...Uh, what? This is important how exactly?

What exactly is the point of the glowing sphere? Was it somehow necessary? Was it needed to distinguish the Move from the Wiimote? Did they really think color feedback required a huge sphere?
It's an interface thing, they were already working on something similar with the EyeToy so they stuck with the research they were already doing. The colour of the ball can also change, so depending on the game you get feedback on your controller rather than on the HUD (rather like having a caps lock and num lock light on your keyboard).

Tracking the position of the controller for player 1,2,3&4 (red/pink blue yellow green color coded to each player)or left hand and right hand if you need 2 of the main Move controllers for one player.

Example:If they are all lets say purple then if player two waves thier controller infront of player 1's it wouldn't beable to tell which was which right away.

Oh here come the waterworks. Speak for yourself. MY PS3 plays any and ALL PS2 games, JUST fine. It's called being late to the party, population a bunch of crying children who felt entitled to have everything.
I don't have a PS3. In fact, I don't even have a PS2. I just know that the new PS3's don't play PS2 games because they had to scrap backwards compatibility to be able to lower the price.
So, I'm not late to the party, I never showed up to the party.

I wonder if Nintendo will make a chart.

Amount of money made from motion controls:

Sony: Some minor profits from the eyetoy.
Microsoft: $0
Nintendo: MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS!!!!

And now for their future plans:

Sony: New motion controller, totally nothing like the Wii. At all, stop comparing, please.
Microsoft: New motion controller, you don't need your hands! Sure its expensive, but its an investment! And we are totally not going to be flooded with shovelware!
Nintendo: Motion controls? So last year. Now its all about blowing your mind with Nostalgia. New Zelda, new Donkey Kong, new Kirby, new Metroid, new Goldeneye, and new Kid Icarus. Nintendo bitches! Suck it!

So, Sony released a chart, pitting Move against the Wii and Kinect--

The funny thing is, while the chart shows it clearly beating the Wii, it only has 2 more "Yes"'s than Kinect. What's funnier is that, the two extra "No"'s on Kinect, are actually selling points for Kinect; they aren't missing features.

The two are: "Buttons" and "Rechargeable Batteries"
Kinect has always sold itself as a controller-less piece of hardware that plugs into the 360. As in, not needing batteries. Also, being controller-less, it obviously won't have buttons. Also, Kinect WILL allow 360 controller support, so technically, you have buttons (Although, with that same technicality, you do now need batteries)

Also, in the feedback it mentions "color-changing sphere". Really? They traded audio feedback for that?

On the MOVE side, Kenect don't see black. It's not a joke, i saw a E3 coverage. Here, I'll post the link down below. Also, when did button became a liability to console? Didn't you play game before the WII? Anyways, I'll pick the Six-Axis controller before any of them any day.

Of course it sees black. MS aren't stupid and if Kinect were really unable to see black poeple, then do you think that there'd be only such a minute disturbance in the Force? It can see black people because they have warm blood, like all humans who are alive. From what MS have released about the hardware, the camera doesn't pull people out of video (like the Eyetoy does), so colour interferance shouldn't happen.
See the link, doofus. It's isn't about black people but the color black, and it's one of microsoft employee that said it. Pay attention before responding.
Oh I'm sorry captain! Excuse me for misusing the forums you have created for us here. Please forgive me. I misunderstood a combination of posts.

LOL. "'pay attention' before posting". Who the f**k are you?
An intelligent poster, and a calm headed one at that. Who are you?

So basically, Kinect is copying the eyetoy and Move is copying the wii.
Motion sensing gimmicks are fun!

Why do you care so much about this? They are companies. All they want is your money, have no illusions about that. They're not looking out for you, and they avoid making a quality product whenever possible because they know that most people are dumbassed enough to cave to a fucking marketing campaign.
The more attention you pay to these escapades, the worse the world will get.
Jesus..

Well, I take back what I said about Kinect previously (that it's an overpriced EyeToy) because I realised recently that it is overall cheaper than a Wii if you want to play it with the whole family.

Move on the other hand I'm less convinced about.

Umm, what the fuck have you been smoking lately? I'll take a joystick over pointing at the screen any day. As an owner of all three consoles I will be the first to say that the wii is by far the worst console to play a FPS on, with the exceptions of rail shooters like Resident Evil and Ghost Squad.
