I learned a very basic history of William Wallace's rise as a leader of the Scottish people through replaying the Age of Empires II tutorial over and over again when I was about 8.

I learned how to mix drinks from Nimble Strong: Bartender in Training on the Iphone, its a great game.
I just checked that out on my iPhone a few seconds ago, and it looks fun and useful, unlike most of the games on there!

Would you say it's worth the £2.99?

Civilization and Assassin's Creed helped with history. What really got me off the ground, however, was Age of Empires. Good times.

I also have basic knowledge of cars, guns, swords, gunswords, tanks, and probably computers thanks to video games.
Pretty much this. Except remove Assassin's Creed, and add mention of Ace Combat getting me interested into jet fighters and teaching me a bit about them. (Only a bit, though. No real jet can carry 80 missiles plus 15 large fuel-air bombs, sadly)
Ace Combat taught me a bit about how lift affects an individual plane, and that doing a barrel roll is neither as easy as tapping Z or R twice, or that it repels enemy fire. It also taught me that doing a barrel roll incorrectly is a good way to crash into the ocean if your altitude is too low.

It also taught me a few tricks to get extra speed or maneuverability in a jet. Didn't need to fact check everything, because a lot of it I knew was logically sound from basic physics. Like the "up and down" movement to cover more distance in a shorter amount of time. That's a simple justification of gravity and momentum.

I learned that sticking your self with random needles will have nothing but positive effects, because of Fallout and Bioshock.
Actually, in Bioshock all of the insane people became insane because of needles.

Playing grand strategy games (Europa universalis/Victoria/Hearts of Iron) makes you a master in geography...

So insanity is a bad thing?
