Well I learnt a few things from WWII from playing the Call of Duty franchise, like the Battle For Hill 400 and The Battle Over Normandy. The things is I'm not going to claim to be an expert on WWII because of it like I see so often now.
Listening to kids who are level 70's in Modern Warfare 2 who think they know everything there is to know about the specifications of an M4 carbine vs. an M16, proper weapon handling educate for things like reloading and handling.
People who think they can kick your ass (in real life) because they played 100 hours of DOA4 and from watching Hitomi think they know Karate... at least I think that's what her discipline was...
People who think they know how to use a Katana professionally Because they bought one at a flea market and played Shinobi or Ninja Gaiden.
And of course, the one that will piss me off until the day I die.
People who think they can speak Japanese because they switched a few games to their original Japanese sound cast and also think they know all there is to Japanese culture. For fuck sake just say cute. It's not "kawaii" it's CUTE. FUCK. Anyone can figure out that Kawaii is cute! It's like a Japanese person saying 'Aww neko cute desu ne!' Seriously, that just looks and sounds stupid and you're not impressing anyone. And by knowing 5 or 6 words, that does not count as 'Knowing Japanese'. In fact the last statement I just attempted in Japanese is probably wrong.
I just hate how I actually took the effort to go to school and learn it for a while just to instantly be thrown into that crowd due to the ever-growing stereotype...

But my friend gets REALLY mad about people who learend about guns from MW2.

Some of the stories i've heard of idiots like that on the range endangering other people and ignoring basic safety fucking scares me, man.

They'd probably still manage to shoot someone outside the room. They should be locked up individually in nice padded rooms with a nice tight straitjacket while supervised by nice young men in clean white coats, the ones who took them away haha hehe hoho.

EDIT: I also learned of the greatness of the Sangheili from playing Halo 2.
