For me, it wasn't so much sad as totally shocking. I mean, how often does one of the two main characters just DIE in the middle of the game?shatnershaman post=9.71920.742963 said:Call of Duty 4 marine getting nuked.

He Died? I remember him disappearing early in the game and every so often someone would mention him(or you'd see him in a vision) but I don't remember if his fate was ever revealed.maxusy3k post=9.71920.741841 said:That guy in F.E.A.R. - I forget his name. Jansen or something? But like in the second mission it's instantly obvious he's dead and I was just kind of... "oh well."
Fully agreed. As for deaths that were supposed to move me, but didn't, that would be Wrex. Dumb brute.Dalisclock post=9.71920.743032 said:To Steal from Family Guy:
Commander Shepard: Men, this is a dangerous mission against the geth and one of us will probably not come back alive. I'm taking Alenko, Williams and Jenkins.
Jenkins: Oh, Crap!
I immediately dumped the cube. Maybe that's the serial killer in me but I had ZERO emotional attachment to it.Graustein post=9.71920.743059 said:The Weighted Companion Cube. I'm sorry, but I'm not as distraught as GLaDOS says I am
I didn't dump it immediately, but that was only to hear what GLaDOS would say if I delayed.TaboriHK post=9.71920.743118 said:I immediately dumped the cube. I agree. For a game that made such empathetic characters(that you love because their lovable and hate because they are total jerks), Duke was pretty lukewarm to me and I was happy to end him(but killing feanix on the same mission... cue blank stares and "what the F-"'soogabuga post=9.71920.742512 said:Edmond Duke - StarCraft, Brood War
Kind of an old game, but maybe you remember him. Although I love the idea of southerners going around in battleships shooting things, I didn't really like this character a terrible amount.
Oh lord, I forgot about Whisper. The bit in the Arena thing where it was like, choose her fate, to me it wasn't about doing the 'right' thing by me or my character, it was about FINALLY MAKING HER PAY FOR WHAT SHE DID ALL GAME.The Iron Ninja post=9.71920.742183 said:Whisper... stupid fucking Whisper...

It'll be hard for you to steal my Hobb kills in hell you dumb (expletive deleted)!

I'll call you on him not dying. Not to mention the fact that why would you not be sad if Gandalf died?urprobablyright post=9.71920.743134 said:f*cking gandalf. And don't call me on that being from a movie because they made like a dozen franchise games for that too.
Haha sounds like Cernel Joson from 'DOOM: Repercussions of Evil'Humanfishboy post=9.71920.741486 said:Sergeant Johnson (or something), Halo 3. Maybe it's because I only played Halo 3, but he kinda came and went without me ever really knowing who he was.
