Well besides having a very old high school, that I went to, it was ranked in 2009 as one of the most boring cities in the U.S.

Um...yay...?

Eugene V. Debs.

Ran for the Socialist ticket in the early 1900's.

Yup. Right from good ol' Terre Haute. Not that we actually have any damn statues here. All our money goes to making downtown smell like utter shit and closing down half of our fucking libraries.

Nothing really. Oh wait, the current world number one women wheelchair tennis (since 1999) comes from my home town. But she's a horrible person so she doesn't really deserve a statue. Fuck it, no one here deserves a statue.

Um.... Old people? My hometown is Victoria, BC.

There's the Empress Building I suppose. It's not terribly exciting, unless you like tea and stories about the Queen.

King of the Hill is based off my town. I was issued a textbook used by LeAnn Rimes when I was in elementary school. 3D Realms was based here. The opening scene of Zombieland takes place here. Johnny Yong Bosch grew up and graduated high school here.

Some of this I already knew, some I learned just now from looking it up.

There is nothing. This place has done nothing good, and no-one of any value has come from it.

It has ME!
Sereously, I think it was used during the war for something, and there were a few ironworks aways back but I don't know too much about local history.

Also, Three fucking Captchas in a row!?

Louis Armstrong, Andrew Higgins (Higgins Boats were an amphibious craft used in D-day to quickly deploy troops onto the beach. It was a crucial piece of tech to winning the war.), Phil Anselmo (Pantera), Harry Connick Jr., James Carville is pretty important in American politics, and the pilots of the Enola Gay who dropped the atomic bomb.

I am from Winchester, Kentucky. We already have a lot of shit from Daniel Boone (he's ours 1950s America BACK OFF!) and the only other person from here I've ever heard of is famous/infamous former White House press correspondant Helen Thomas, which I didn't know until I looked it up on Wikipedia, which I think is cool because she's f-ing HILARIOUS, and who'll probably not get a statue because she's a very old lady who seems to be an anti-semite and even in nowhere Kentucky, we are not stupid enough to honor that shit (I think we are but we haven't yet and I'm rolling with it.)

Swedish golf player Jesper Parnevik comes from my home town; Åkersberga.
Perhaps him. Or left wing/communist Lars Ohly. But that wouldn't be too popular.

All of Linkin Park, Incubus, Hoobastank, Dead By Sunrise, and Fort Minor came from my hometown, no statue for them though here. Rain Wilson (He plays Dwight Shrute on the office) Brandon Hein and a couple other people were sentenced to life for the stabbing and murder of Jimmy Farris an LAPD cop's son. Erin Brockovich, Mike Shinoda, Doug Robb, Heather Graham, Todd Steussie, Clay Matthews, and Guillermo del Toro.

He's pretty much bought the University of Oregon by now, kind of surprised there isn't a statue of him anywhere here,.. yet. But, who knows, I'm not allowed in the athletes only study hall since I graduated before they built the damn place.
