But if I had to choose a death for him it would prolly involve him sacrificing himself to seal Ganon forever.

Zelda would have to die at the same time too.

Alyx Vance, maybe. That would be terrible if she died, but if it had to happen, it would be in a totally badass manner.
For some reason i suspect she will die in episode 3
me too actually.
I think that either only Gordon will die or that both of them will die, but not Alyx alone. Are you talking about that part when you're talking to Eli and he says; "You must destroy that ship, whatever the cost." and then Alyx runs into the scene? That foreshadowing freaked me out.
Off-topic (side discussion):I know, I have this grave feeling that Alyx dies in episode 3, and that Gordon dies in HL3, but I really hope that that's wrong. I almost cried when *you know who* died, but he was much more of a side character than Alyx. If they were to kill Alyx I would probably cry and be pissed at the same exact time. I would probably start wasting ammo shooting the dead bodies of combine out of fury. But if she died she definately go down in some badass way. If she doesn't, then Valve will have serious issues on their hands. (If people are getting angry at Valve over L4D2, then immagine this)

On topic: If Alyx died she would probably go down destroying the *you know what*. While fending off hordes of combine. While DOG tears everything to shreds. While continuing to be ninja. While... ok never mind. She would just go down in some badass way.
At this point, Alyx is as important to the game as Gordon, so if she were to die it would be detrimental to the plot.
I still get teary when I see clips of *you know who* dying, so if Alyx were die as well, I would probably get so sad and angry that i'd never play ep. 3 again.

I thought that the series would end at ep. 3.
I'm pretty sure that valve said something about them making a half-life 3 after episode 3. I'm not sure where, but I remember hearing that valve was making a half-life 3 after it.

Nope, no way I'm letting wrex die and if BioWare decides to remove him from ME2 I will lead an angry mob to start demolishing their HQ.
They made it so that loads the things that happend in the first game so he will only be gone in ME2 if you had him die in the first one.

the way I'd make him die is he's fighting both the emporer and vader. he cuts vaders head off. he dies.

I normally would be worried about Alex Mercer being dead, but I dont think "dead" really applies to him.

Character: Cole Train, from GoW 2

How he dies: He walks up to the locust queen, and starts spurting out random racial slurs, like a true gangsta (yo) and starts taking it up with her in the form of a Chainsaw Duel. While the Duel goes on, he starts going crazy and overboard on the cussing, and he lets his grip slip on his chainsaw and the Locust Queen totally stabs him in the stomach. While he's on his knees, his hollowed out ribcage bleeding, he curses her and says 'DIE BEEYATCH!' and starts loading her face with bullets, and she dies. Cole Train says silently, to Marcus over his wound '..I always wanted...a poneh..' and dies.

Wrex was my favorite character in the game. I was FURIOUS when i got to that convo and he died.

I lost 2 1/2 hours of gameplay so I could go back and do it again.
The same would have happened to me, but my friend was like "GET INTIMIDATE OR CHARM POINTS TO THE HIGHEST, OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!"

Needless to say, I did, and I didn't lose Wrex.

I'd much rather see Link blow himself up just to make sure he took Zelda with him.

Same goes for Mario and Peach.

For some reason I thought that it was reincarnation that brought link and zelda back together many times over to save Hyrule. So while it was a different body and maybe even person, it was the same ego or force each time.

Snake in MGS 3.

Whoops, you accidentally set your internal clock too far ahead. Snake, as well as The End, has died of old age.

I would support this as Wrex is clearly the best character in the game and the games main fault was that you did not get to play as him.

Good trade off. Though a better one methinks would be Tingle being crushed in the process. Oh yes, big shocker, I'm not a Tingle fan!

Hmmm...let's go with Marth. He approaches his old palace, now occupied by an invading enemy nation which has enslaved his country for a spell, where their mad king resides, the killer of his father, and his force of 100 guard. Legendary blade falchion in hand, he barely slays them all but dies eventually from blood loss, but before he breathes his last, he crawls onto his father's throne. He was born a prince, but dies...a king.

Excuse me, I'm sweating through my eyeballs...

Altair from Assassin's Creed
I say he goes on an assassination attempt that turns out to be a trap. The guy who he is supposed to kill has much more guards than his cohorts who sent him on the assassination attempt let on. He then gets in an epic showdown killing all of the guards only to be attacked from behind from a bunch of people from his own creed. Who killed him because they thought he was too strong for their own good. I think its a pretty good way to die.
Another one would be Dante. Dante goes into a huge fight with his brother Virgil. Mid-fight Virgil steals Dante's amulet thingy and makes Dante killable. And thats that.

That's what I thought, too. So maybe if Link and Zelda sacrificed themselves to destroy Ganon, as well as destroy the Triforce, they wouldn't need to be reincarnated again and thus end the whole Legend, as it were?

Assuming it was partially the Triforce's will that reincarnated them, since each one of them possesses a piece of it. Anyway, I think that'd be neat.
