Pretty damn good shows. Shame they're gone/finished. I don't really watch anything else besides Zero Punctuation, Escape to the Movies, The Big Picture and The Jimqusition.

Unfortunately I can't ever get the PA vid player to work for me, so I can't watch those last two at all anymore, and dammit I liked Lisa Foiles.

Of course, I'm also still hoping that Jimquisition becomes an old series, so I guess I'm a really bad barometer for what the Escapist likes.

The one I miss the most is Rebecca Mayes Muses.

After that it's probably Extra Credits (the discussion threads for each episode were always interesting), Doomsday Arcade (but it had to end, so that's okay), De-Rez (funny most of the time), and Top 5 with Lisa Foiles (funny and, to be honest, full of eye-candy).

Between MovieBob, Yahtzee, and Unskippable, I have something fun and new to watch/read almost each day of the work week; I still miss Mayes' stuff a lot, though.

I really miss Daily Drop. It was my favorite show here.

I also miss Extra Credits, simply because it was easier to watch it when it was here with the other programs (like DD). But since I can see them on the other site, it's not too bad.

I never watch the content anymore. I haven't seen Zero Punctuation in months now.

Then again, I completely missed out on the last few months of the show so I never fully understood why they left anyway.

Huge debacscandal almost exactly a year ago now. Art director broke her arm, EC asked Escapist for money to pay for surgery (because of the recession Escapist wasn't paying a lot of people, which is why a lot of shows got axed; EC stayed because it was practically taking IOUs as payment), Escapist wouldn't pay up, EC left for YouTube, Escapist eventually pulled the video archive off of the site around half a year later.

I remember it going like this:

EC = Extra Credits, TE = The Escapist

EC: (Sadly) Hand broke. Need money.
TE: (Also sadly) We're sorry, but not have money.
TE: (Brightening up) Do have lots of readers who might give you money?
Later, after fundraising
EC: (High fives all round) WOO WE HAVE LOTS OF MONEY
TE: (Joining in high fives) Sweet! Can we have some of the excess?
EC: Nope. We're using it for a project. You get nothing.

Oh yeah, forgot about the fundraiser stuff and Escapist demanding the rest.

But my story still holds up!

Those were both hilarious in their own way.

Doomsday Arcade was brilliant and I'm really surprised I haven't seen anything else from those guys.

God... I remember when I first watched those... good times...

Spoiler: Something I realised a while back...

During one of the episodes, Mario ordered Duke Nukem to take out the guys, yet he kept getting delayed (obvious joke...)

Later though, at the end, Duke Nukem finally arrives. Course there is no big fight or anything...

Sure enough, some time later, DNF is finally released. and its about as lackluster as his arrival at the end of Doomsday Arcade.

Once I thought about that, I laughed my ass off...

I have a friend who stopped coming here after Doreleous and Associates stopped showing. I never got into any of the shows here, really, so I don't really miss them. I do miss Shamus Young's comics, though.

Its a shame to see some of the series go, but for all the people missing Unforgotten Realms the series is still ongoing (technically). I linked it below, but fair warning that episodes come out really slow, like really, really slow.

I forgot they were still making episodes and just stopped watching, this makes me happy!

OT: Well Unforgotten Realms and Extra credits. I know neither of them have stopped, I just miss them here because they were easy for me to access here and well I'm here most of my time. Also I miss ENN and daily drop, those were great!

Ha! I loved unforgotten realms. I loved the series so much, I used a lot of references from it to make my character in D and D
for example: My character is a (religious) lumberjack who uses a old caravan wheel as a shield and I use flare and search for traps whenever I can ( it annoys the hell of my friends who ended up making a rule that I can only use the abilities once per day).

I really liked There Will Be Brawl. I know it ended because it was done storyline wise, but I'd like to see Mercer do another show.

It still exists but I lost interest of the show myself around the time when I realized they had no idea what they were doing with the story.

DORALEOUS & ASSOCIATES. I used to look forward to it even more than ZP, and then it just stopped mid-season!

I loved that show but saw it as a kind of substitute for unforgotten realms, but I loved it and i loved the animator who also made apocalypse lane. Just recently I noticed he's putting up Doraleous and Associates videos back up on youtube and made me remember of the series.

I don't miss them a ton because a lot of time has passed, but I really enjoyed looking forward to new There Will be Brawl and Doomsday Arcade.

Don't get me wrong it would've sucked if they tried to keep it going forever, especially there will be brawl which I don't remember ever feeling padded. Doomsday Arcade could've gone through more series easily but it would get boring and stupid if it never tried to end the storyline.

Still I miss those series and I wonder why neither of those groups are doing things for the escapist, I also want to know what the heck they've been up to.

I still hold the Portal episode of Doomsday Arcade as one of the funniest videos on this site (that was not made by Yahtzee).

ahhhhhhh that was and still is my favourite internet series of all time. It just was sooo awesome and I would have killed for more of it (only a few more episodes, maybe with the dice-lord because he was a awesome character). My favourite episode is the one after the portal one, the fallout one. It is the best and made me literally ROFL at the end when the little girl said "I am a 200-year old man, that dog is your father, and if you push that button, chinese men will come and kill everyone in the land." "....Complete Mindf*ck...".
I just felt from the start of the series, which premiered the same day as I first discovered the escapist, that I this would be absolutely amazing ( also made me feel special because me and the main characters had the same name "Michael". I woulda been referred to as "Keith" though. I still follow michael shanks' for other videos which he makes on youtube which are just as hilarious:

FYI they started uploading the old episodes onto youtube, and they're planning to continue the series once they're caught up to where they left off, although that's only going to happen if they make enough money via ad revenue along the way.

Seconded, all of this. Doomsday Arcade was the first thing I thought of when I saw the thread, and I'm still completely baffled by the fact that so many people actually enjoyed Top 5.

Also, Unforgotten Realms was pretty awesome. For a time.
