Hello all.
So basically this game has been bugging me for years and years...
I got it early 90's in a (xplosiv maybe?) 2-in-1 game. The first game i dont care about but for accuracy's sake it was flying car sci-fi bounty hunter game.
Now the game I have trouble remembering was a point and click adventure and I believe you we're a cop or P.I. The 1st case (or if not 1st the only bit i remember) was about a brutal rape in an alleyway or car park or something (probably why it stuck with me as I was only 7-9 years old at the time) and that our protagonist had a loft apartment. visually it looked like broken sword, kinda bright visuals not gloomy noir-like.

Now obviously I'm not giving much to go on but I don't know much, I could never figure the game out (I was young) to really give anymore key plot points. But it has plagued me for years. I have browsed countless old game forums and images looking for a single screenshot I recognise and looked up hundreds of double pack games. But alas to no avail.

Anyway I know it's a long shot but seriously any suggestions are welcome as I have exhausted all my other mean of locating this damn game.
Cheers
Hopkins FBI [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hopkins_FBI]
the other game was BHunter [http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bhunter-Hopkins-FBI-PC-CD/dp/B00005B0I6/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top] which there isn't alot about on the internet.

I'm trying to remember a game I played on my computer in early 2000, maybe 2001 or 2002. It was a game where your raised a baby monster, from it hatching from an egg to crawling and walking. You started off in a cave and you could choose what sex it was and feed it cheese(and other foods i think). There was a dangerous lava area nearby in the beginning but i don't remember much more as I was just a small child at the time. Please help me remember this game!

I forgot the name of the game but its an old kids pc game where you practice grammar in the spooky castle or house. It kind of has a Frankenstein feel to it. I remember it helped with verbs types and noun types.
Grammar of Doom?

There is this one arcade game that's been on my mind for awhile that I played lone ago between 2000-2005. I believe it was a fighting game but the graphics were 3D and not necessarily 3rd person, but it was kinda like Super Smash Bros. but not really. All I distinctly remember that in the game you would find a big gem/emerald/diamond that once you had it your character can transform and become powerful for a limited time. There were characters to choose from, two mainly that I remember was a chick don't know if she was a ninja but she would throw shurikens, and when you use gem on her,she would transform into this blue crystal-like form and she was able to throw blue shuriken from all angles. Another character I remembered was a cowboy-like character, had dark clothing, dark skin, blonde hair, blue eyes I believe, and a red scarf. When he transformed he would bring out a huge motorcycle or chainsaw looking weapon and destroy anything in its path. And finally the stages, can only recall too though, one I think was a flying ship but next to a port. And another was a gray building, you started from the bottom fighting the other characters, and then the ground start to collapse or the camera would just move up and you had to climb up to survive while fight the other characters, then you would reach the top, not the roof though, and there was this huge boss you had to kill, it looked like a spider but I'm not sure. I remember playing this game a lot when I was kid and my mom would wash our clothes in a coin-in laundry-mat, and I would play the arcade game there. I can't remember the name and google was no help at all. Please help me. ( > T ~T)>

Hi, the game i'm trying to remember is a 3D chess pc game. I only remember it was based on angels and demons, or at least there was the option to play that theme. It kinda looks like Battle vs Chess, like the pieces would move and that, and when you killed another piece there would be like a little ''battle'' between both. Any ideas? T_T thanks!

I'm so excited that I found this site. Theres a very (well a few) old PC game that I can't remember for the life of me, but I absolutely loved. I believe it was back in the MS DOS days.

So there was a story mode, and a VS mode. The game takes place in space, with different races and each race has different ships. Each ship has a normal shoot, and it has a special weapon and I believe different crew sizes. I can't remember much other than a few of the ships and races. In the VS mode each player would pick a few ships before facing off. When one of your died you'd get another, the first person to kill the others ships won.

There was one ship that was all black, the race were weird Spider looking things. Its normal gun shot out black rotating blades that would freeze on the screen. Its special was a ring of fire that would expand out from the ship.

There was a really quirky race that used to commit suicide. I dont' remember what they looked like, but i do remember the ship was very small, fast, with a terrible gun. The only real thing you could do is click special three times which would make the ship self destruct.

The human ship had a homing missle it would fire. I dont' remember if that was its special or regular weapon, thats all I can remember it being able to do.

There was a race that were women, and their special was to get crew members from your ship to leave to join their ship.

There really were a lot more than that, but thats all that I can remember. If anyone else remembers this game, please oh please let me know.

Looking for:

Hey all, as you can tell I'm new, though I have lurked on escapist for a long time now, on and off- mainly on this particular thread, looking for a specific game. As fas as I've read, no-one else has been looking for this game, though it may be due to me mis-remembering it and creating something that doesn't exist. :)

Here's worth a try, though:

The game started off, as far as I recall- as you playing a male protagonist in a 2d RPG style, to which you would explore your environment and find various tools, rather like Monkey Island style. You'd begin on a submarine with mysterious cargo on board, on ice.
Visually, the game looked like Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, and was either a DOS or Windows 95 game, given the age I was when I played it, though don't quote me on that, it may have been Amiga... Anyway, back to the submarine! You start on a sub with what turns out to be an alien in the cargo, on ice. There's a guy in the cabins that's talking in tongues, and you record his voice later on to make the alien who later breaks out of the ice and rampages the submarine, freak out and run off.

So there's this guy in the sleeping quarters area talking in tongues and flipping out, then the alien breaks out of the cargo hold area he's in, breaking down a big seal door and killing someone with it in the process, lots of other stuff happens, and your aim through the game is to build this weapon that'll beat the alien in the late game. It's not a game you'd shoot in, it was very much Monkey Islandesque.

I can't really think of much else to give, unfortunately. I appreciate the help, in advance. :) Thank you.

I want to find a turn based computer game. It was against the computer

- you started with one town
- other than a small area the map was blacked out
- you had to build infantry or tanks and take over other towns
- you could also build transports (for 6 infantry or 2 tanks), subs, battleships, bombers, fighters, frigates ....
- the map was revealed as you moved around
- there was both water and land
- the enemy was hidden unless they were within sight of your forces
- fight to expand
- towns were used to build the different military units; bigger units took longer

Would love to play this again but can't remember the name.
Thanks for any help.

OK there was an Old RPG/Adventure/Magic game I used to play like 10 or so years ago and I can't remember what the name is but I remember there was one spot in one of the dungeons were you could trade/repair with cat, and If you ran out of magic you had to actually go back to town and in said dungeons the One of the bosses was statue looking thing that held a orb the you had to destroy first before you attack the boss.

I wish I could remember more but unfortunately that all I can remember of the game, can any of you help me out.

P.S. it was on either the NES or Saga Genises

I remember when I was like seven or eight, 1997-1998 my dad was playing a game on the computer were you are a detective of sorts and you had to figure out who killed this lady, it was a game that used real actors and you just picked what you wanted to say or where you wanted to go. I remember one of the suspects always seemed really suspicious and whenever you went to question him he'd be doing something that involved him having a possible weapon. One time he was cutting lettuce with a knife. Eventually we were pretty sure it was him so we did the option to arrest him and the video was of the character telling him he was under arrest, the guy was digging a hole in his backyard and just hit the detective in the face with it and it was game over, I think my dad stopped playing after that. Anyway if someone actually knows what that game is, I'd love to know!

I'm not sure if someone else replied to your question, but I think the game you are looking for is called The Magic Death: Virtual Murder 2.

Its a old game im not too sure what console it was on.. Basically its a racing game, the cars have guns, and you start out with your car, you defeat bosses on different stages though there are other cars in the race, and when you beat the boss you unlock his car.. The only boss i can remember is a Rastafarian sorta sounding dude with purple hair.. Please help it was a awesome game i played all the time when i was younger , i just wish i could remember it! Any help???

I'm having trouble remembering a game I played when I was young, and although my usual Google wizardry has failed me I am glad to have found this thread and hopefully my mind can be put to rest.

The game itself was very similar in style to a music maker program such as garage band except that it was presented in a game format, It was a PC game and I remember playing it early 90's but It could be older. I think I remember a hiring and firing aspect of musicians and you then went on to play gigs with the music you made but it possibly wasn't as complex as that.

It was very cartoony in nature, and all the characters where exaggerated versions of musical styles (such as the goth rocker or punk rocker).

I distinctly remember a line from one of the characters who said 'I know what I like, and I like what I know' when you gave him a piece of music.

Hopefully someone can help me with this :).
I remember playing a demo for a game called Rock Manager. It was about, well, being a manager of a band. You had to schedule concerts, radio interviews, etc. You also produced songs for them. It was very basic and primitive, you just give band members their parts and could then fine-tune them a bit, like change the volume and stuff like that. One vocal part has been stuck in my head for all eternity, it went something like "i know that song, i know that face, there's something strange about this place. i'm not sure, feels like i've never seen it before".

Check it out, maybe that's the one. I don't really remember there being any other band management games...

There was one game that I can't remember. You start off in a castle and once you leave, you wander around the map, which is 2d, and you fight enemies that are already visible on the map.

To fight the enemies, you create your armies by "buying" (i don't actually remember the correct way it occurred) troops and you use these to fight other creatures.

You have a small ship and sail around, but I don't remember the purpose of the game whatsoever. I do remember that there were dragons, elves, zombies, fairies, and other types of beings that could be recruited into your army. Any help would be appreciated.

Command and Conquer?
From what you described, it's obviously an RTS, and I'm assuming it was old school.
Command and Conquer is the only old-school RTS I can think of.

Trying to remember the name of a classic space explorer game I played as a kid between 1990 and 2000.
Turn based tactics style space explorer game. The game was top down 3d angled.
In one part of the game there was a cutscene where the guy either loses his arm or almost falls down a hole in a space ship.
While on that ship, you encounter some aliens then have a choice of going up either an elevator or a staircase of like 100 floors. If you choose the elevator, you're left 1 floor short and the door is locked. I had to go back down and walk up the stairs. Boss battle at top. Once you're done, you have I think a world selector? I also remember fighting a monster that looked like a fallout centaur that dropped an item called Paint.

Would mean the world to me for some help!

I'm looking for a game that I played with my brother about 10 years ago. It was 2D arcade with:
- local co-op (no split screen)
- two builders/painters wearing yellow helmets with green cross (similar to Metool from Mega Man series).
This game was about painting walls in a skyscraper and fighting with enemies and bosses.
Please help me find this game.
