I think it was two players. You start off in a graveyard I think and you fight monsters. After like 10 minutes in the level, you encounter 2 gargoyles that fly. I remember vaguely of a woman who had a big wooden stick that she'd use to hit with and a man with a black trenchcoat or something. I think the movement was like the old Tomb Raider game, where you can't strafe but you turn then walk forward.
I loved playing that game. Recoil is it's name i thinkmal-adjusted said:There's 3 games I remember playing demo's of in the late 90's but can't remember their names. I think the demo discs were from PC monthly around the same time that Deus Ex and WarGames demos came out.
1. The first one is a 3rd person game where you drive around a tank in the future fighting loads of enemies. I think the intro screen had something like "Freedom fighters in the future have somehow connected their new (stolen?) super weapon to your computer and need your help in piloting the thing. there was a lot of browns and reds.
Any help would be appreciated. been driving me mad for ages!![]()
Definitely sounds like Outrun, that was a great racing game.Codrin909 said:There was a game back in the Windows' 95 glory days with a red car, where you were driving on a road next to the beach. On the sides there were palms(obviously) and sometimes restaurants ( diner). It had more levels, and I remember that one was on a green field and it had a lot of windmills on the side. If you press space you can get other cars on the street ( There were yellow VW Beetle lookalikes , trucks and others). There was a girl with you in the car. If you'd have crashed the car, it would roll over and the girl (blonde) would get angry. Can you helpp me find it?
Definitely Wild 9 for that first one.diffro said:Hi people. I'm looking for two games.
The first I think was on PlayStation 1. You played a young guy with black hair in an exaggerated quiff and you had a sort of electric whip you used to grab green robot enemies and slam them back and forth on the ground until they broke. or to throw them into a spiky mangle. You had to free little green things from captivity I think. There was also a level where you are free falling down a ventilation shaft and you had to throw enemy robots that were falling with you into the walls (also while avoiding fan blades) and after each kill he shouted first "you momma!" then "Yo grand mommas momma!". Only a short title I think it may have been a number, made into the logo. My mind wants to say something like '9' or '7'
Any Ideas?
The second is a 2D Tank Battle game that I played on an Acorn Computer. You chose your weapon from a small selection of weapons that could build or destroy terrain and damage vehicles. I think it was called 'Holocaust' or something but searching for tank games with that name on Google doesn't yield the right results.
Medievil. Definitely MedievilSweetShark said:I need to remember a VERY old game:
Your character is a living Skeleton wearing purple medieval cloths and wielding a giant sword.
Obviously you are the bad guy and you must kill all the humans to win a level.
The action was top-down and you turn around your character trying to kill them with your sword.
If the enemies manage to kill you, your skeleton before die he screaming while bleeding in the same time until his body disappear completely.
Sounds like Air Fortress for the NES.Mortis125 said:Hopefully someone can help me with this one.
I used to watch my dad play a game 10+ years ago (no idea weather Gaming System or PC). You would start out in a space ship and fly from left to right on the screen (2D) and shoot things until you got to a, if i'm correct, space station. You would then get to play as a human. You would have to run all the way through the 'space station', set a bomb, or maybe just shot something, and have to get out before it exploded! I believe there was a count down timer. That's all I remember
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!
Try looking up M.A.X. Stands for Mechanized Assault and Exploration. Sounds like what you're after.randaeltor said:hey guys.. i saw this post by random and thought " why dont ask around ". Im searching since several years for a specific game , its an RTS (seems tobe very little known) and i just cant find it whatever i do... i remember playing it on my old windows 95 computer with 400 mhz together with thief 1 etc. . It was a bit smiliar to starcraft , but with 4 factions, some insect thingies, robotic ones and two others, sadly cant remember them... they were good in different things like trading, military etc. asmuch as i remember.... . There were different terrains, mars like, dark and such a blueish icky stuff in one level with vulcanos on two sides i think? ( might be wrong though). Asmuch as i remember there was the possibilitie to trade with other players too using a special unit (most likely some car-tank unit thingieand i think a trading post...). You could build a base and units and stuff ( who would have thought lol). The choosing screen for a race was split into 4 pieces with every race being on one side of the screen. I think there was somekind of prophet race aswell im not sure... If any1 can tellme what game this was that really would make my day... it aint dune 3 or stuff ive already checked all of them ( they arent actually smiliar, but the graphics should be around the same time... might be wrong, or smiliarish to starcraft).
-Bump-

The first one is Lode Runner, without a doubt. Can't help with the second one.Grivahri said:I played a 2D game on the macintosh where you run up ladders and try to collect gold or something, and you can dig. It's been so long since I played it so I can't remember the details very well. I think it may be called runner or something.
Another game that I've played is a flying fighter type of game for the PC, it's pretty old. When you start the game there is light voice that shouts "OKAY" before the game begins. You are a fighting plane and are supposed to shoot down enemy planes, it is a 2D game with the illusion of 3D, it looks like you're moving forward but you are not watching from above. When you take down enemy planes you get supplies or something, better weapons maybe. Then there is friendly planes that drop health and stuff, if you take them down you get penalized in a way that I can't remember, lose points maybe. Another significant thing is the song that is played while played, it's a really good guitar riff but I don't know the name of the song. The only thing that I now is that the riff is the only good part of the song.
Does anyone know the names of these games?
