I've been replaying Ocarina of Time, it has a lot more problems than I remember, but it's still pretty good.

I've also been playing Yoshi's Island for the first time, I've almost beaten it, and it's probably my favorite game now.

I have been playing a lot lately so here are just the best Final Fantasy 6, Silent Hill 2, Ico, Super Mario Bros. 3, and Street Fighter 2.

The Legacy Of Kain games, but had to skip Soul Reaver 1 since it doesn't agree with PC's it seems =/
We can't have that now can we...

Hope it helps.
Thank for the help, I have the digital version off GOG, and applying those fixes seems to make the game think that I have the CD version and asks for the CD, any other workarounds/fixes that I can use? What seems to happen is that when I first get into Raziel's territory, the first cutscene where the two vampires jump out from behind the arch, the game crashes as soon as that cutscene starts.

I've been playing the original Devil May Cry and I've just finished Metal Gear Solid 3, if that counts.

I'm playing Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War. I don't know what is up with me lately, it seems I have been stricken with Warhammer fever as it's all I have been able to talk about. Oh well, despite the source material, Dawn of War is a excellent RTS game that every RTS fan should own.

Try changing windows compatability. In case your not sure how to do this, find the .exe file that you use to launch the game. Right click on it and go to properties. In the menu that shows up find the compatibility Tab on the top of the menu. Click on then find the box that says "run this program in compatibility mode" then choose windows 98/95.

Close out of the menu and launch the game. If it fixes it then sweet.

If that doesn't work:

I don't own the PC version of the game so I'm not sure what settings you have to work with. If there are settings for graphics and resolutions turn everything off and lower the resolution. Play the game and see if it crashes. If it doesn't then your issue is probably that the game is too old for your hardware. Fear not, it's usually only a single setting in this case that's causing issues.

Turn on all the settings again, and see if it crashes again. If it does, then start turning off individual settings at a time, replaying the sequence up to the crash. Each time it crashes turn off another setting. If it stops crashing note the setting that you changed.

Turn on all the settings again, bar that one, and you should be able to play the game no issues now.

If that doesn't work:

It could be a hyperthreading issue (Multi core CPUs are too powerful for older games). Sometimes the solution is to run the game on 1 CPU. To do this, run the game, hit ctrl+alt+delete and bring up the Task Manager. Go to processes. Find Soul Reavers exe (I have no idea what it is, but it would be something like SoulReaver.ece LoKSR.exe Soul.exe SR.exe Reaver.exe or something like that... basically it's the name of the exe you use to launch the game).

When you find it, right click on it and go to "set affinity". It should show a bunch of boxes with tags like CPU0 CPU1 CPU2 and so on. Depending on your hardware the number of boxes ticked differs, but that doesn't matter... just make sure 1 CPU box is ticked and the others aren't. Close out of everything and go back into the game.

If it helps it shouldn't crash at that point again. The only problem is that you have to do this each time you want to play the game. There is probably a permanent fix for it somewhere but I haven't found it.

EDIT: I heard of something called Startaffinity, a program you use to launch other programs with certain conditions in place, like CPU affinity. Could be worth checking out if the Hyperthreading solution works.

If it doesn't you have a different issue altogether.

I guess it's not really that old, but I played through KOTOR recently and was dissapointed to discover that... well, it's just not a very good game. I remember KOTOR 2 being much better so I'm playing through that now and thus far (just finished Telos) it has been better, but I'm now doubting all of my memories about games I thought were good. I think I'll have to play Jade Empire next to see if that holds up for me.

I got back into my Megaman X Collection and am closing in on completing X2! I want to complete that game but still have a ways to go since I've only 100% completed X1 and haven't touched the other 4...well 5 games on the disc (gotta beat 2 and 3 to unlock that one other game). It took a while to get back into X2, especially on the Gamecube controller. Pain in the Arm!

I just started playing Planescape Torment, hadn't even heard of it before Spoony mentioned it. So.. I thought I'd give it a go. Yeah.

Alright, so, lately I've been playing quite a bit of Chrono Trigger (Using methods I won't get into) And I have to say, I love it. The combat is a bit confusing, the story seems similar, and like so many things, I forget vital information while playing, but I still love the game (Though I'm still not that far into the game).
I had a great time playing Chrono Trigger on a friend's recommendation; I played it incessantly--at one time going a full 46 hours of non-stop play (except to get food and use the facilities). Honestly, it was great...up until the end. And I won't say anything to spoil--in fact some people really like the end, and you probably will too, it just didn't appeal to me in the way the rest of the game had. Still, it is a great game!

Recently played Ultima IV. Now playing Ultima V. Both are now some of my favorite games, despite the former being seven years older than I am.

Congratulations, you won't regret it.

Anyway, up until a few weeks ago, I'd play Jagged Alliance 2 on the train to work almost every day. Granted, I am cheating a bit here, because I've been playing it with the "V1.13"-mod. What sounds like an innocuous fanpatch is really a huge mod adding tons of new guns, items, and gameplay features. Still, even before that mod, JA2 was on my list of most replayed games, next to Fallout 1&2 and Wing Commander:privateer.

Going through and replaying both of the KotOR games because they are so fun, this time though I'm adding some mods.

I've been playing the original Summoner on PC. Its a great game but the quest log is terrible. For some reason it doesn't get updated so I have no idea where i'm going half the time. I had to result to making my own quest log in a notepad. And even though the combat is flawed, its still a great game. It was the one that got me into RPGs.

Since I've grown a bit bored of the latest modern games I've gone back to playing some RTS oldies like Rise of nations, KKNND Krossfire, Age of Empires 2 and C&C Red Alert 2 for the past couple of weeks.

I recently finished my fourth Nuzlocke of Pokemon Ruby, which is always fun.

Medieval and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver are my two focuses (foci?) at the moment, but I've kind of slowed down on them a bit lately.

I'm addicted to the Vita and the PS2 right now.

On the Vita I've been playing Jet Set Radio and The Sega collection (originally for the PSP) but that's mostly because I can't afford any other games after spending all my money on the Vita lol.

But hey, the Sega collection means I get to play games like Ristar, Comic Zone, Golden Axe, Ecco, Sonic and Phantasy Star.

But old PS2 games found around the house have been providing a lot of entertainment! Ultimate Spider-Man, Psychonauts, Kingdom Hearts, Second Sight, Silent Hill 2 and 3.

I... Need to get out more, don't I?

I just got Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne yesterday. Started playing today. Good experience so far.

Also got Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2 a few weeks ago and beat DDS1. 2's on hold though for Nocturne.
