Did you know that <link=http://www.bbb.org/western-washington/business-reviews/computer-software-publishers-and-developers/valve-corporation-in-bellevue-wa-27030704>Valve Corporation has an F with the Better Business Bureau?

I did a double take when I found that one.

Did you know that many of the changes to the story in the film version of The Hitchhiker's Guide To the Galaxy were actually taken from older scripts penned by Douglas Adams before his death?

in scotland you can drink in your home without parents consent at 5.
also, i would like to remind you that scotland remained civil and judging during the english riots, and not a single bin was overturned before you accuse us of being angry drunkards.
also, in france it is illegal not to help someone in need http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Samaritan_law#Europe thanks to the Nazis apparently

In Florida if you tie an elephant to a parking meter, you must pay the same parking fee as you would for a vehicle.

Based on consumer complaints? Obviously a bunch of petty trolls.

OT: Atoninus in the 1960's film Spartacus was wearing a Rolex watch.

I thought that was the same in most countries. If you are caught ignoring someone in distress in Aus and are caught you will be charged unless there was foreseeable danger to the viewer.

Is that a common problem in Florida? Do many people own elephants there? It's funny you didn't mention horses. Because that one would make more sense.

non sum attonitus
(I misread the Atoninus as Attonitus, so that kinda walked into my head)

Apparently, bees are supposed to be physically unable to fly, but apparently that's actually untrue and it's possible to physically/mathematically plot how bee flight works.
I found it really odd, because I'd never heard the allegation that physics says bees shouldn't be able to fly.

That's how the law reads man, here's another one, in Indiana the value of pi is 4, and not 3.1415.

I wouldn't be too sure about that... Valve has some pretty abysmal customer support some days...

In Alberta, Canada, it's lawful to keep a water trough in your front yard as long as you refill it every morning by 4:00.

.. bullshit. No matter how you think it pi has to be 3.14 since you can't have a circle with circumference 4 times its diameter in length.

Terry Pratchett took the piss out of that in Mort, the wizards nearly annihilated the universe because someone hated pi being the number it is and tried to change it to 3

The world's oldest known condom was made in 1640. And it 's feasibly still functional.

(EDIT: I mean 'known' as in 'still exists')

Yeah, the value doesn't change because the people of Indiana say so, but the fact is they did decree it so; why is another question entirely.
In Virginia tickling a woman is unlawful.

somehow i doubt that was actually connected.
