George H.W. Bush was the only American president to require a security clearance downgrade when he took office.

In the UK the law that required all males over the age of fourteen who did not have an excuse, to practise Longbow everyday was never removed...
So in other words, you are legally required to get a longbow and shoot with it... what are you waiting for!?
Well first a longbow would come under numerous dangerous weapons laws and there's also the problem of getting one. Oh and the fact that its takes shit tons of muscle to use one let alone hit stuff. Most proper longbow men looked like the Charger from L4D2.

* All liquor stores must be run by the state.

This is the same in Ohio(primarily for anything over 42 proof), I imagine it's not as uncommon as you think.

Oh, I know it's not uncommon. But I still find it odd and a bit antiquated that unless your a restaurant or bar (with a state license) you essentially can't sell alcohol outside of a state store.

That's because (and I just found this out by reading a sign in a store) the liquor is actually owned by the state, and you get a license to sell it in the state's stead.

The sign I read had something to the effect of: its against state law to steal liquor as it is not the property of the store but the property of the state.
