Me? 10 for sure, I am loving the fun ways you can devise to unleash mayhem with the uh.. leash. To me, it is feeling really like it stands apart from the FPS crowd, it's not that the gameplay is omg revolutionary, it's just that it's a bit different and, the main thing, the game's feel is really different from that of a CoD or Battlefied. It's.. how can I put it? More laid back and HAAH-I-GOTCHA (as opposed to, uh, I shoot you from a safe distance).

It's kind of an 11 for me... it's so loud, brash, OTT and funny that Nigel Tufnel's amp is the only thing that I can compare it to.

I'd say 8-9ish. While the game certainly has some limitations, I find the skillshot system to be extremely enjoyable as well the overall gameplay. Guess it's just a breath of fresh air compared to all the pseudo-realistic shooters I have played over the past few years.

I must also say that I really like the overall vibe of the game, both in world design and story. It's so over the top in many respects that it becomes charming in some odd way. I find this game to be less juvenile than the latest CoD releases, simply because they take themselves so bloody seriously, resulting in a story that feels like it was written by a 13-year old gun nut. Just my take on it anyway. ^^

Oh yeah, and I love the voice work, especially from Steve Blum and Jennifer Hale!

4. Probably because I beat Crysis 2 a day or two before starting it, so it seems so crap in comparison.
How'd you manage to beat a game that comes out on the 22nd of March?

Eeh, I was expecting a nine or a ten, but it's about 7. Was fun while it lasted, but no lasting appeal.

it got leaked weeks ago.
Oh so you pirated it?
Indeed. and I'll be purchasing it in 17 days.
So Crysis 2 is pretty good, I take it. How does it compare to the first one?

It's not really a game you can play constantly but for the 12 hours of campaign had it's an adrenaline fueled 10, afterwards things tend to slow down a bit. It genuinely had me lol at some points and it's probably the funniest game I've played so far this year. The dialogue is so bad it actually manages to come full circle into the good scale.

I'll leave for a few weeks then come back after I've forgotten how much fun it was

That would be an 8.

It could have been a 10. But every now and again they keep trying to make the story go all serious. Redemption and revenge and responsibility and probably a whole lot of other words that begin with "re".

They should have stuck with threatening to kill each other's dicks and questioning the sexuality of stereotypical male game characters. It suits the gameplay better and would have made for a much better product overall.

Oh well. Nothing is perfect. And it's still ridiculously good fun to play.

Well considering I thought the game was going to be a beer coaster while I played the Beta? About a 9.
When I step back and actually look at the game by itself? about a 6-7 it's a good solid game, it won't win any awards and the writing is as juvenile as a GTA game, but that's half the appeal, it doesn't take itself seriously, which is one of the major problems I have with COD and Halo.

One of the things I hated most about the game though was the way it sets itself up for a sequel. Why? Why do that, when the game was so poised to just end and leave nothing but a good taste to never hear from the franchise again. But no. As Bulletstorm 2 will most likely be bundled with the beta for the next Gears of War installment, they have a selling point already. In the end Bulletstorm is some good, less than clean, completely adulterated, fun. Of course it's too easy, but hey it has a gun called the Penetrator what more do you want?

I have no interest because of the whole point system. It will only be fun if you disregard it because to try and get the points competitively is a calculation problem akin to building a character spec in WoW. One build for a certain purpose is the best with minor alterations based on personal preference if you can manage to squeeze it in.

So basically I'm paying $69.99 to play a game where to enjoy it I have to not give a shit about the game itself. Bulletstorm is not for me.
CD key store noob.

OP: 64000.

finishing it on every difficulty.

Well my buddy got fed up with it in about 3 days, so he gave it to me and I thought the campaign might tickle me in the right way, but it really doesn't.
First they copied the whole CoD thing with silly cutscenes where you only do a whole lot of nothing and then some quicktime events, I'm really starting to hate CoD for bringing that sh*t to FPS.
Couple of hours later you actually get to some combat and it all relies on that whole points nonsense again, and now those are crucial for ammo and upgrades so you can't even skip over them you actually need to put in work, so first you get 3 burly men to kill skillfully, then it's 5 of them, then it's 7 then it's 9,.......
Mostly I dislike the non-logic mechanics, you can slide uphill and kick people as if they are balloons but you can't jump for some reason, so then you haveto guess if the game will let you leap over an obstacle or if you need to go around it, then shooting a guy directly takes days to get him down, but kick+shoot only takes a second, a skilled headshot gives you 25 points, but leashing a guy that then at random bumps into a wall gives you 100 points, ...

I love Painkiller with all it's nonsense, but Bulletstorm is a straight up modern casual shooter that isn't my thing.
As the game that was intended to be it's 8/10, for me personally 4/10.
