I don't believe in God personally, but lets say he exists. And lets say he has spoken to you from on high and has granted you one question, which he will answer truthfully. You can ask him anything at all, but only one question...

So what would you ask him?

I'd ask him why the hell he made a planet that could so quickly be drained of resources once intelligent life evolved?

(This was inspired by the thread; [link]http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.149310[/link] )

EDIT- Most people's answers are funny or ballsy. Thanks guys for helping make a cool thread.

Edit2- It would seem that Hadaway is God... Thats fact!

EDIT3: Wow, this thread got so popular, thanks to everyone who contributed and I hope you all enjoyed it.

I'd just ask him "why?". Why anything and why everything.
I get the feeling the answer would be very long, perhaps so long that you'd die and waste away before he finishes answering.

... or maybe he would just say "Because".

All the information I need about god is answered in the fact that he doesn't prevent child molestation nor starvation. I'd spit in his face if he were real.

If the meaning of life, the universe and everything really was 42.
Its not the meaning , its just the answer to the question. Which has to be found.

But id go for one of the important ones. Guiness or Kilkenny?

Another one would be " Why the hell all that parasites like ticks, moskitos and even nastier stuff...i mean ... damn ... oh and rap ? why youdamnit? jeez ...no not you , your dad"

Fair enough.

I'd probably ask him what the hell he was thinking at the time he decided to create the Earth and all the possibilities it held... whether he foresaw what could be?

I don't remember where to find it, but there's that one website where you can ask "God" anything. You can even lock the poor program into a standstill with clever enough questions.

When travelling at a subsonic speed during the last one hour of hypersleep, which vector of the Romulan Nebula will suffer the wrath of the impenetrable quickening?
