I saw this news story as well. A scientist sent an email to someone and he mentioned something about "massaging" the data to support the existence of global warming. In otherwords he made it seem more like global warming was happening by modifying results of some kind of test or something.mcgroobber said:my question for those people is how would hacking emails prove global warmingKamaitachi said:THIS THIS THIS, I just read someone on youtube claiming that scientists made up global warming, and that they had there emails hacked to prove it...mcgroobber said:racism

Another is people who don't know how to properly use "theory".Pyromaniac1337 said:Evolution is a theory, same as Creationism.gamezombieghgh said:People who believe in creationism, despite all the evidence against it
Tell that to the entire scientific community, all of whom, disagree with you.Pyromaniac1337 said:No, a "theory" is an idea, a possibility. Something with all or most scientific signs pointing to it being true is a proof.Yoshemo said:Another is people who don't know how to properly use "theory".Pyromaniac1337 said:Evolution is a theory, same as Creationism.gamezombieghgh said:People who believe in creationism, despite all the evidence against it
A theory is something that has been tested many times by many people in the scientific community, and has had all or most signs point to its existance. The only evidence toward creationism is the Bible. Creationism is a hypothesis, not a evidence-supporting theory
exactly, i was criticized by a scientist (chem researcher) because of my poor password choicesKamaitachi said:I think what those people ment was that the scientist emails got hacked and revealed messages...mcgroobber said:my question for those people is how would hacking emails prove global warmingKamaitachi said:THIS THIS THIS, I just read someone on youtube claiming that scientists made up global warming, and that they had there emails hacked to prove it...mcgroobber said:racism

But jesus, you would think a scientist would be smart enough to not make his password easy to guess.
Quoted from my neighbor's college physics book: "A theory, in the scientific sense of the word, is an analytic structure designed to explain a set of empirical observations. A scientific theory does two things:Pyromaniac1337 said:No, a "theory" is an idea, a possibility.
