The presumption some folks have that they're smarter than everyone else. You know, the people who go on AND ON about how "I should be dictator of the world because I'm sure I'd do a good job of it" and the like.
It's all based on the self-centered conceit that somehow they're magically smarter than everyone else and know how to run everybody's lives better than they can.

I saw this news story as well. A scientist sent an email to someone and he mentioned something about "massaging" the data to support the existence of global warming. In otherwords he made it seem more like global warming was happening by modifying results of some kind of test or something.mcgroobber said:
