deep christians, the ones that say that every thing will get you to hell and the only way to not is to be exactly like "the bible" (author unknown) tells you to.

You're new here, so let me tell you something.

Threads like these WILL lead to flamewars, and they will be locked by the mods. Try not to make threads like these in the future.
I get your point, but the mods will only lock this if it turns into a flame war, and it hasn't yet, I think the bold+caps might have gotten to any idiots.
anyway, if you see someone posting in this thread crying about how "unfare" or "stupid" we are being, please feel free to report them to the mods, and request for a lock.

THIS THIS THIS, I just read someone on youtube claiming that scientists made up global warming, and that they had there emails hacked to prove it...
my question for those people is how would hacking emails prove global warming
I think what those people ment was that the scientist emails got hacked and revealed messages...

But jesus, you would think a scientist would be smart enough to not make his password easy to guess.
exactly, i was criticized by a scientist (chem researcher) because of my poor password choices

scientists are the best and brightest, they aren't going to make up global warming only to have their emails hacked exposing the whole conspiracy
Apparently you missed my earlier post. Hopefully if I quote you directly you'll catch it this time...

I saw this news story as well. A scientist sent an email to someone and he mentioned something about "massaging" the data to support the existence of global warming. In otherwords he made it seem more like global warming was happening by modifying results of some kind of test or something.

May not disprove global warming per se, but its still pretty freaking shady.

Oh and another thing :

"God Loves America!"
...

I am sorry, but where in, not only the bible, but in any religious historical document does it say that?

I have said this before to people who say "God Loves America!" and the only response I get is "CLEARLY YOU HAVEN'T READ THE BIBLE" or "YOU ARE A TROLL" or "YOU DON'T RESPECT MY BELIEFS!"

that is shady
but it doesn't take a scientist to know that people should be nice to the planet

Hey There!, Thanks for the URL, I was not fully aware of this, as you can see, the youtube comment was ridicioulisly biased and one-sided.

(on a side note, sorry for my poor spelling, I haven't been getting much proper sleep recently)

OT : "But I Want It!"

I have heard fully grown girls say this, like they are completely entitled to a petty luxury, seriously, its like, because she wants something, she needs it, like its more important than food or shelter.

And the worst part of it, is that due to its circular logic, it can't be argued with.

"Daddy, buy me that car!! NOW!"
"But We dont have the money, sweety"
"BUT I WANT IT!"
"I know, but we simply can't afford it"
"BUT I WANT IT!"
"..."

People who believe in creationism, despite all the evidence against it
Evolution is a theory, same as Creationism.
Another is people who don't know how to properly use "theory".

A theory is something that has been tested many times by many people in the scientific community, and has had all or most signs point to its existance. The only evidence toward creationism is the Bible. Creationism is a hypothesis, not a evidence-supporting theory
No, a "theory" is an idea, a possibility. Something with all or most scientific signs pointing to it being true is a proof.
Not in scientific terminology, no. It's called the "Theory of Evolution", but that's because, in scientific terms, it's been backed up and corroborated countless times. What we call a "theory" in everyday language is a "hypothesis" in scientific terms. That's what Creationism is, because there is no corroborating evidence.

Also, "Theory" is as high as Evolution can go, contrary to popular belief. A Theory does not become a Law, because they describe different things. Here's an example:

Law of Gravity: Things fall. Period.
Theory of Gravity: Things fall because...

Oddly enough, that was actually going to be my example. If you want to believe in Creationism, fine, but please don't cite the "Only a Theory" argument, it shows a lack of understanding.

Overly dedicated nerds who hate religion on the "fact" 'religion = intolerance' whereas they only propagate intolerance against religion.

Had to say that because so many people said "religious fanaticism". Atheists are rarely better than the shit they hate. It's like with commies and nazis - the result is the same, only the starting point is the opposite.

Crocoduck - People who insult evolution when they don't understand it.

The misunderstanding that the Big Bang theory states that something came from nothing.

Every time a religious zealot utters something along the lines of: "What would it take for you to change your ways?!??!" I lose a little more of my already low faith in humanity.

Where to begin (clears throat) athiest who think all christains are narrow minded belief pushings jerks. Christains who try to push their beliefs on any body who has a different view than them. People who think anyone who likes anime is a whiny loser fanboy. Anime fanboys who act like japan is the only ones who can do good animation for adults. People who hate other countries based off what they saw off the news. People who use the whole hardcore vs casual bullcrap to describe games. Finally people who think that a game needs blood and gore to be good.

Opinion not "oppinion"

Also, saying that all Jrpgs are stupid and gay is sort of annoying
In that spirit: 1)the belief that the word "gay" is an effective prejorative. It's not, it's the domain of morons twelve year olds. Stupid twelve year olds.

OT: 2)The Belief that liking things that aren't mainstream gives you the right to look down on the peons who enjoy things like Gears of War or Modern Warfare or Wolfenstein because of course your finer tastes make you superior.

3)The belief that every religious person is a moron. As a former militant atheist (I chilled out after hearing myself speak, seriously, and have since gone agnostic) I can tell you there are a lot of stupid 14 year old atheists who think their belief (lack of belief is still a belief when it's in this regard, suck it up) makes them smarter. They are no more intelligent than many religious folks. I feel it's worth mentioning that I don't use the word "religion" to refer to the Abrahamic faiths, it's a more general term than that.

4)That religion suppressed science for hundreds of years. The lack of electricity suppressed science. Causation and correlation are two different things, remember that.

5) That Bush directly destroyed the US economy. He didn't. Taxes are drawn from the economy, there is no link between the feds spending too much money andthe economy in a capitalist system going to shit. In fact, government spending should benefit the economy. A lot.

6)That capital punishment needs to be (as it currently is) a convoluted affair in the name of mercy. A bullet to the head or a properly placed noose do the job just fine.

7)That a text message containing no information that's actually worth being passed on is something that you should send around, in fact that it should be sent around alot. "Im bord lol" is never an acceptable reason to contact someone over long distance, ever.

8)That the right to free speech entitles you to speak without criticism, and means you get an audience by virtue of it being your right to express yourself.

9)The belief that calling your evil faction a confederacy ,and then not even reading up on the concept of a confederacy (it's actually a very democractic system of government) leaves you with any credibility as a writer.

10) The belief that Liberal=Automatically good and Conservative= Automatically evil.

"being politically correct needs to put into law!"

I have seriously heard some people say that.
Oi, so I can call someone black? WTF!
Like the internet has said many time, "kill it, kill it with fire!"

The UK calling me a wanker on Xbox because I am American. These people, need to learn not all Americans are douchebags.

Atheists thinking all Christians are bullies that push their religion on everyone else, any way possible....the only response I have to that is blatant "Fuck you"

Christians trying to push their religion to everyone else. Again a big "Fuck you"

Christians thinking that people who are gay are going to hell for it. Oi, they are humans to aren't they?

people thinking gays aren't normal. NO ONE IS NORMAL! THAT'S WHAT MAKES EVERYONE UNIQUE!

That is all I have to say right now.

Ah I hate that, especially those ones who worship Japan and think they should have won WW2 (they already lost, the Nuke just streamlined the process, made sure Japan still existed by the time the yanks were done). I'm friends with a kid like that, he's a bigger anime fan than I am yet he doesn't see what I have against Japan. It's a solid list.
