In that spirit: 1)the belief that the word "gay" is an effective prejorative. It's not, it's the domain of morons twelve year olds. Stupid twelve year olds.

OT: 2)The Belief that liking things that aren't mainstream gives you the right to look down on the peons who enjoy things like Gears of War or Modern Warfare or Wolfenstein because of course your finer tastes make you superior.

3)The belief that every religious person is a moron. As a former militant atheist (I chilled out after hearing myself speak, seriously, and have since gone agnostic) I can tell you there are a lot of stupid 14 year old atheists who think their belief (lack of belief is still a belief when it's in this regard, suck it up) makes them smarter. They are no more intelligent than many religious folks. I feel it's worth mentioning that I don't use the word "religion" to refer to the Abrahamic faiths, it's a more general term than that.

4)That religion suppressed science for hundreds of years. The lack of electricity suppressed science. Causation and correlation are two different things, remember that.

5) That Bush directly destroyed the US economy. He didn't. Taxes are drawn from the economy, there is no link between the feds spending too much money andthe economy in a capitalist system going to shit. In fact, government spending should benefit the economy. A lot.

6)That capital punishment needs to be (as it currently is) a convoluted affair in the name of mercy. A bullet to the head or a properly placed noose do the job just fine.

7)That a text message containing no information that's actually worth being passed on is something that you should send around, in fact that it should be sent around alot. "Im bord lol" is never an acceptable reason to contact someone over long distance, ever.

8)That the right to free speech entitles you to speak without criticism, and means you get an audience by virtue of it being your right to express yourself.

9)The belief that calling your evil faction a confederacy ,and then not even reading up on the concept of a confederacy (it's actually a very democractic system of government) leaves you with any credibility as a writer.

10) The belief that Liberal=Automatically good and Conservative= Automatically evil.

Pretty much this, but for the love of god please stop throwing age around, im 13, I am not all that militant of an athiest, infact, I don't give two shits about what people believe in, aslong as they don't try and preach it to me, and no, im not "trying to fit in" with this whole athiesm thing, I always doubted the existence of god as a child, due to the fact I could completely take down everything a priest said at the age of 5.

haha I thought the exact same thing when someone hit me with the "Not all emos are depressed" crap. I wanted to say, "If you're not depressed, then you're not emo... you're just a poser." And that's really sad, if you can't even be emo right.

Evidence for evolution is not the same as evidence against creationism.

True, although the lack of empirical evidence is sort of damning, but now's not the time for this, PM me if you're interested in discussing this.

Overly dedicated nerds who hate religion on the "fact" 'religion = intolerance' whereas they only propagate intolerance against religion.

Had to say that because so many people said "religious fanaticism". Atheists are rarely better than the shit they hate. It's like with commies and nazis - the result is the same, only the starting point is the opposite.

Hell, when I talk in any way about "religious fanaticism", I include fanatical atheists in that, because lord knows (heh) they can be just as bad. Really, I guess that's my answer: the sort of people who are just burdened by their obvious superiority and work to make everyone "good" just like them.

Left 4 Dead 2 should've been an expansion, they only introduced new characters,new weapons, new maps, new items and new enemies, every other sequal introduced either more or defiantly not less.

Ah I hate that, especially those ones who worship Japan and think they should have won WW2 (they already lost, the Nuke just streamlined the process, made sure Japan still existed by the time the yanks were done). I'm friends with a kid like that, he's a bigger anime fan than I am yet he doesn't see what I have against Japan. It's a solid list.

Don't get me wrong I love anime I thinks its great, I just can't stand the ones who are like that. They give the rest of us a badname.

This one will tick a few people off, but Evolution. Yes, it's a theory, if it can even be called that. It is still yammered upon despite the fact that it's founding father didn't even believe it was fact, and presented without alternatives. Anyone who believes evolution is a myth is immediately called an idiot, despite the fact that evolution has no proof. None. Natural selection has proof, but evolution does not. Likewise, there is a TON of proof against it. I don't mind the theory in and of itself, after all, questions make science work. But assuming fact where no proof is given pretty much spits on the grave of every scientific leader in history, and could Darwin see the scientific climate today, he would probably weep. Just my two cents.

I couldn't have said it better myself, infact, a friend of mine played the demo for 6 hours straight, and promised he was going to buy left4dead two, and then he read on some forums that it was "cool" to hate left4dead2, and all of a suddem he just starts spewing bullshit like : ITS THE SAME GAME, JUST PLAY THE FIRST ONE THEY ARE BOTH THE SAME!"

Its the same guy who moaned for hours about how good the graphics where in the demo, and even spent hours in the demo looking at the new guns, not lieing, just fucking looking at them.
