I think if they made a sequel to Mirror's Edge in 3rd Person, longer, with no combat, a better story, and faster gameplay, I would buy it. I just realized that that would be pretty much an entirely different game, but Mirror's Edge had a lot of flaws.

Borderlands would be nice, but I would like a Borderlands MMO better than just a sequel. Everything else I can think of already has a sequel or a sequel is in the works...

Saying Bioshock is the spiritual sequel to SS2 is like saying Pepsi is the spiritual successor to Coke. There's enough room in the world for both of them, but Bioshock is not SS2, and does not deserve the title of System Shock 2's successor.
If you've played Bioshock then you'll be blown away but how similar it is to SS2. Different story yes, but gamplay is more than 90% the same. It is a spiritual successor [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiritual_successor], nothing less.

I am probably one of the few people that has ever heard of this game, but a thousand times:

Metal Arms: A Glitch in the System

I know the possibility of a sequel to this incredible game are slim, seeing as how the original developers were bought by Blizzard shortly after the release. This makes Metal Arms the only game to be developed by Swinging Ape Studios.

I am completely fine with this game the way it is, but I would love to see the game rendered in HD.

I liked the 1st person view actually... the arm and leg animations were well done. I'm afraid that making it 3rd person would turn it into a futuristic Prince of Persia in too many regards. I say "GIve us the option to play 3rd or 1st person

Shodan is still alive.
She runs the internet.
She knows the identity of every troll.
She cares for the memes.
She knows what is in the basement.
She makes love to it on Sunday nights.
She bends the rules of the internet.
She gives nightmares to mods in their sleep.

Shodan monitors us all through Facebook and 4chan, and finds us all with Google searches...

Bioshock is really the spiritual sequel to that series(seriously, compare Bioshock with SS2 and it's kind of ridiculous how much is the same).

Arcanum never got a sequel, neither did Nox. I wouldn't mind seeing a Trine 2: Trine Harder...ba-dum-tish. Get it? Say it slow and...sigh...I'll go back to my corner.

OWNED!

But yeah, I noticed the differences too. I don't think we should limit this discussion to new games though. I loved the Legend of Dragoon idea, as I was a massive fan of LoD when it came out and still am today.

Hell, maybe MAG 2 with new factions... Just make sure they don't OVER POWER ONE this time *coughSVERcough* I love Need for Speed games, but a new "Hot Pursuit" was introduced recently.

I would say: Jak and Daxter... Jak's son... SOMETHING... I miss that series

I know right? I think it came out around the same time as Halo: Combat Evolved did. This is probably why nobody heard about it. They even make a reference to Halo in the first trailer for the game, with Glitch tossing aside what looks like a Needler for his Rocket Launcher.

Watch closely, and you'll see the Needler-like gun that Glitch throws behind him.

Mention older games if you want, but the 'Games that deserve sequels' topic has been done to death. I'm trying to narrow it down for new releases to keep things fresh.

I'm sure you've heard Yahtzee say that original gaming titles are to be praised, since sequels are about as common as iPods. For me, I think Borderlands deserves a decent sequel and eventually, maybe High Moon Studios could work on another Transformers game, because we all know how good War For Cybertron is.

So what original titles would you like to see continued? (new titles with no planned or offically announced sequels)
Legend of Dragoon.

Oh.

Alpha Protocol. To me, it was an abysmal game, but I'm pretty interested in the concept of the game.

Quite impossible though, seeing that the game got panned by gamers and critics alike. Plus, it's Obsidian. Maybe if they hand it off to Bioware or something.

Ok, so my friends and I spent a while thinking about it.
Mirror's Edge + Portal -> Mirror's Portal + Edgey gameplay mechanics
I mean, the city is already apparently made out of the same shower tiles as the Apeture science labs.
So my answer is Mirror's Edge, and I think Mirror's portal would be cool too.

Mirror's Edge main flaw was the leaps of faith that you had to take time and time again and hope you ended up in the correct place. That and the physics for swinging were way off and just a sleazy jump mimic.

The combat needs to stay as is, it is a running game not a fighting one. You are suppose to be going rooftop to rooftop, ducking and weaving with a target on your back, front, side, head, etc.

How about a real resident evil sequel. Since Code Veronica they have fucked the series hard.

Prototype needs a sequel, with Infamous 2 being confirmed surely we can still keep up the war between the two games.
MediEvil could do with a sequel, I know it has one but a trilogy would be nice, or at the very least a sequel to MediEvil: Resurrection

I'm also thinking Borderlands, Bully, Croc and Metro 2033.

EDIT: Forget that last one

Tale of the Sun. It was such a fun quirky cave man sandbox game. I still have it but it looks so dated now. A sequel would be awesome.

That, and what they need to do to make it awesome is to make it one huge map instead of a bunch of smaller areas.

On the opposite side of things, if they make a sequel to Zombieland, I'm going to die a little inside...
