Yeah, I'm against Cannibis.
I see your point, Its just all of the people I've seen wanting it legalised go on and on about how it makes everything better. Like, It has no downsides to it whatsoever. I just cannot believe that.

I'll agree with that.
I have no idea how we allow companies to sell things that's primary purpose is known to cause death.
Guns are illegal in my country, but at least I can say they defend.

As long as both groups understand I'm going to call them hypocrites. Unfortunately in my area this is what the dating pool seems to consist of.

On topic...

"Donnie Darko was/is a great movie."

Really? A senseless movie with no reasonable point and conclusion? I just wasted roughly 2 hours of my time not being entertaining, not being emotionally or mentally challenged or even stimulated. It's the perfect rendition of what people who are stoned are like, what they enjoy and the value they have to the rest of the world. It's a terrible movie, and you should be ashamed for supporting it.

Just gonna put it out there, I liked "From dusk til dawn". I don't care for Tarantino as a person.

Misleading thread title is misleading. I had some seriously fucked up politcal opinions to express ): even though they're all pseudo-jokes.

OT: Anybody who says "plox" instead of please should be dragged into the street and executed in front of their families.

Does that count?

One thing I'd like to say; why all the hate for Dominoes?
The Dominoes we have here is actually pretty good.
Agreed. There are definitely far superior pizza places out there, but as far as chain fast food pizza goes (consisting of Dominoes, Pizza Hut, Blackjack, Papa Johns and the like) Dominoes is in first or second place. It's cheap, tastes pretty good (for what I'm paying for it), fast and easy. Definitely better than Pizza Hut, whose pizza looks and tastes like plastic, and Blackjack, who loads up so much sauce that you might as well be eating tomato soup.

As far as opinions other people have, a buddy of mine thinks he's the God of Minecraft, and can build anything perfectly. Unfortunately, "perfectly" in his mind usually amounts to the most basic of buildings constructed out of pure cobblestone, and he refuses to take any criticisms for it.

Anyone who actually liked the ME3 ending, or DA2, can go jump off a bridge. They were both absolutely horrendous. DA2 had a few redeeming qualities, but that only kept it from being put on the same level as C&C4, to name another game that was absolutely horrible.

Being of the opinion that everything even remotely subjective is an opinion and therefore can be dismissed out of hand because you have your own opinion. You can have whatever opinion you want, but when faced with overwhelming evidence supporting the judgement of something, be it a video game, movie, or whatever else, just saying "it's an opinion, so I'm right too" is about as close to saying "You're actually right but I don't want to admit it so I'm going to be a tool instead" as you can get.

"Watching professional sporting events is the most enjoyable thing I can do most weekends/evenings."

Closely linked to

"Yelling/Cheering/Talking to a television or movie accomplishes something." Yes, applauding after a movie is also stupid, unless you are at a premier where the people who made the movie are present.

I pretend to accept it so as to not be completely ostracized socially, but even if I have money on a game, I simply cannot see the appeal in watching it (just tell me if I won or lost). Football, Baseball, Soccer, Golf, any Olympic event, none of them. I'd rather be doing anything else, including simply going out and playing some sport myself, which at least gives me some sort of investment in what happens.

"The gaming industry is falling apart because they keep making games those stupid RPGs and indie games. They need to make more zombie mods for COD" -a ... "acquaintance" of mine 2 weeks ago. Haven't spoken to him since.
Also Dominoes is just awful. That's not a pizza, it's garbage on dough.

The "Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was a terrible film" brigade.

What really gets me about that - with more or less any other film, it's okay for some people to like it and for others not to, but when it comes to the 4th Indy film no, there seems to be just one acceptable opinion and that's that it's not a very good film.

Yeh, well I though it was actually quite good - I'd even watch it again in fact (and alreayd have, a few times).

For another one, feel free to repeat the above, replacing "Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" with "Deus Ex: Invisible War".

I've got another, but it's one likely to open up a can of worms and could easily fall into the politics and religion trap the OP would like us to avoid, so I'll leave it.
I'll agree with this. Personally, I feel it is a far better film than Temple of Doom, which is just terrible. I don't really understand what people dislike about Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

That shredding guitar solos are anything but a show of skill. No, stop it, I know I'm not politically correct or being elitist or some shit like that, but I don't care. I can find expression in many things that I don't like, but still there's NOTHING about those bloody shred solos. David Gilmour puts more expression in a single bended note than metal guitarist #12345 does in a 5 minutes, 80000 note solo.
Sounds like you might appreciate this . 1:40-2:05 perfectly showcases how beautiful distorted electric guitar can really be if used properly.

Your joke at the expense of my error in grammar was about as entertaining as the movie.

What's the deal with Half-Life 1 and 2 and all following episodes? From what I hear from the aspiring majority, they're the best. games. EVER!
No idea about the first one, but I played the second one and the episodes. I was bored out of my mind all throughout the game (at the exception of when I, out of boredom, roleplayed as Dirty Harry for 30 min. Do ya feel lucky, Combine? Well, do ya?!). Where's the aforementioned flair it's so famous for by the community?

While I am on it, what's up with Half-Life Episode 3? Ergh, nevermind. Why should I care? I already mentioned the game series stirred my heart as much as that of a zombie.

Skyrim is the most overrated game to exist anywhere and every single fanboy pushed people that would say the same into into the "Its a great game [small]please don't send me billions of hate mail...[/small]" The only thing it had going for it was hype and the same can be said for Mass Effect 3 but the fans of Mass Effect 3 at least say "Well its not perfect but this is what makes it a good game" while Skyrim or Elder Scrolls fans in general go "NOPE, SHUD UP ITS A PERFECT GEM!" without offering a reason.

If you want a list of problems I have with it, here.
- Bards guild quests, after returning their instruments you still have their instruments.
- Dragons clip through the world.
- Dragons fly backwards and then clip through the world.
- Some quests un-achievable or your not able to complete a quest because of a bug.
- Piss easy combat.
- Bland color palette. I'm sticking by this till the end, each area looks so terribly generic and bland and none of it sticks out. The elven town looks like a generic elven town, same goes for the human town. Compare Skyrim to say Kingdoms of Amaluar and you'll get my drift. If your going to go generic then make generic look good.
- RPG breaking things such as being able to eat 90 cheese wheels in a battle without any repercussions.
- NPC's still treat you like a peasant despite being lord of bloody everything.
- Terrible writing.
- Terrible acting.
- To many humans.

and the way they could make it better.
- Release games that are more glitch free.
- Stop making more glitches with patches and properly test patches.
- Make a interesting world to weave a story into, not a story to weave a place into. If you do the latter the place that the story takes place in will not be that interesting.
- Make NPC's notice the player's actions, not that hard.
- Properly test your game.
- Better combat such as a slightly more action game version or a completely different system, right now it might as well be turn based.
-Bug. (fixed.)
-Bug. (fixed.)
-Bug. (fixed.)
-Bug. (I'm not sure which you mean. But most likely fixed. Or pretty rare in the first place, considering I only ever heard that from two or three people who played the game.)
-Agreed. The combat is pretty easy.
-You obviously have no idea what you're talking about at all. There is no "Elven town" or a "human town". Each city (barring the orc strongholds. Those all look about the same, but they're irrelevant.) is visually distinct, with different climates, building materials, typical color palates, et cetera.
-Rpg standard. Silly, but there it stands.
-Yeah. But that would mean new lines for every title, new voice acting for those lines, getting the triggers to work without issues, and so on. Not as easy as you say.
-Opinion you're allowed to have. Though I'd like you to give me some lines you feel are bad, some are mediocre but I've never heard any that are outright bad.
-Same as above. Except there are some pretty bad voices for some, but not prevalent enough to bother most people.
-Skyrim is the homeland of the humans on Tamriel. And you complain that there's too many? I have no idea what to say. Besides that it's the single silliest thing I've heard all day.
And things I enjoy about Skyrim:
-Lots of lore if you feel like digging. (which I do.)
-Massive open world.
-Playing with the shouts is amusing.
-The new combat systems they've added (duel wielding, archery refinements, magic and melee together, etc.) work well and are fun.
-Dragons. I'm always a fan of cliched fantasy dragons. (Personal weakness of mine.)
-Lots to do. Quest lines, exploration, dungeon delving, banditry.
It's your opinion are you're allowed that, but don't claim Skyrim fanboys never give a reason to enjoy it. I would reply to your list of improvements, but three of them are the same, and pretty hard to disagree with at that, two are just wrong, and the other is an opinion I agree with. So...

OT: "There are worse things to be than a Nazi." I walked out of the room when someone said that yesterday.
My unacceptable opinion is that everyone is allowed an opinion about everything. If you don't know what you're talking about, shut your goddamn mouth. (ie, most people who ever said anything about the LHC, uninformed pro- anythingers, and especially people who try to debate politics without any kind of information except headlines.) So sue me.

Britian should be a republic/in the EU/brake up into 4 country's......

People should really stop trying to fix what isn't broken. I mostly hate the whole get rid of the royal family idea but i don't want to join the EU, and i don't want Scotland and wales to be independent.

That FFXII was anything but an uncreative blatant ripoff. I understand paying homage, incorporating good ideas, or using similar themes, but there is a point where you reach full-blown ripoff and FFXII blew right past it.

Didn't know what to expect when I opened this thread but, dear Lord the pointless whining.

On topic: Oh, I dunno, this 'entitled' fiasco is getting on my nerves. If any of those "entitled card" wavers would go to a movie theater but were required to wear an uncomfortable sweater to watch the movie, I bet they wouldn't feel so "entitled" if they complained.

That's what silly DRM is, an uncomfortable sweater you are required to wear in order to play the game you just bought.

"Good for you, I don't. I think they are terrible. I can't think of any song they have done except for Smells Like Teen Spirit. And even then it's the only thing I do hear from them."
Yeah, most people can't name more than 2 Nirvana songs, it's really a shame, they are a good band, but no one really listens to them, besides smells like teen spirit.

So good sir, there is nothing wrong with you in that retrospect.
