I know there are probably tougher ones, especially on tougher difficulties, but even on easier difficulties this one was fuuuucking impossible for me-

-Xaldin from Kingdom Hearts 2. You couldn't dodge his attacks, and most of the time you couldn't even hit him. Pretty much all of the other boss battles I can think of at the moment weren't too difficult, but this guy crushed me...

TL;DR - tough boss battles.

Yeah, Xaldin was a pain...
But hey, while we are talking about Kingdom Hearts 2, try Sephiroth for a spin. I lasted about 3 seconds. I eventually managed to beat him, but, thank God he is optional.

Yea but once you get the rhythm down he was simple. Hit him here, jump over him there, hit him again there, HIDE FROM HIM THERE, hit him again there.... yea.
But for Xaldin, I could never seem to get any pattern down. Just mind blowing unfairness.

Edit: About Sephiroth again, by that point in the game, you already had a huge health bar and all of these incredible combo's. But Xaldin is one of the first revisit boss battles, so you're still kinda weak.

Kessler, the end boss of inFamous, takes the cake for me. Hardest boss I've ever had to fight. Admittedly, this is on the hardest difficulty, but it's still ridiculously difficult as compared to the rest of the game. Like seriously. Ridiculous.

FF13 - Ok, game's been easy so far. Paradigm system's a bit fiddly but I'm getting the hang of it... Wait, what's that... It's http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Aster_Protoflorian and it's ripping me apart, guess I'd better learn to switch to a defensive paradigm just before it attacks and an offensive one immediately after pretty damn quickly. Also the last Eidolon, for the same reason (needs fast paradigm swapping) only needed much more precise switching, one mistake and you die, also it was on a short doom counter...

Xaldin asn't that bad... wait, never mind, I'm not a good judge of these things, since I grind way too much and was way overleveld for this fight (incidentally, this is the reason why I will never touch an MMO. I'll never stop if I do).

Anyway, who is a really hard boss, practically impossible... well, any boss in the Ninja Gaiden series if you aren't good at the game, for one (i.e: myself).

I got it. Ran Yakumo from Touhou 7: Perfect Cherry Blossom (she's the Extra stage boss). For excellent players, they just tear right through her, but I can't even get past her first spellcard.

I'm not very good.

Also, Sepiroth in the first Kingdome Hearts. 2 was generally easier than 1, even on hard mode (I think it was the refilling Magic bar).

LOST. FUCKING. PLANET.

How THE FUCK am I supposed to kill a giant FUCKING spider when I have all of this shit against me?

-"Thermal energy", AKA timer
-Unavoidable attacks
-Pin attacks, AKA once you go down, it keeps attacking you until your dead
-Little baby spiders
-NO DAMN AMMO
-Ridiculously large health bar
-Underpowered weapons
-The boss's ONE weak spot is on its' back, AKA the ONE DAMN PLACE YOU CAN'T REACH!

Damn! I HATED that game!
So many bad memories.....

Golden Sun 2.

there is a secret Boss called Dullahan.

Aside from having powerful Psynergy, Stats, and high HP & PP.

He has a move called Djinn Storm.
(Djinn are Equipable creatures that alter your stats and classes, and let you Summon)
It would put ALL of your party's Djinn in Recovery, messing up your stats and moves, and keep you from Summoning.
He liked to use that move a lot BTW.

THAT's a pain.
Oh, I found a pretty easy way to beat KH2 sephiroth- spam reflect. Really, just do that. Works like a charm. Of course, it takes no skill, but... Good if you don't care about that, and just want the juicy rewards.

Miguel in Chrono Cross. Took me forever and a day. At one point I gave up on the game because I couldn't beat it and came back months later.

I-No from Guilty Gear XX.

Never have I been so frustrated at a fighting game boss in my life. I originally got Accent Core for the Wii but returned it because I sucked so bad at it, and I couldnt beat arcade mode because of her.

But I later picked up the game for the PC, and she really is that bad..ish, I've gotten more used to her now.

But pretty much it goes, her moves are fast as hell, combo well, she usually has full/near-full tension(energy), her aerial overdrive is annoying as hell, and her BOSS only special "Megalomania" is annoying to newcomers. Basically after a certain chunk of her health is gone, she will make the screen black with warning signs of its path; 1st path, far arc usually easy to dodge, just run back; 2nd path, wave, stay under it and flow it towards her, and 3rd path, the whole dang screen..the only way to dodge it is to go up close to her and jump of it at the right time....also if a single orb from the attack hits you, they all home-in on you..you also cant break her out of the attack, and if you jump over her, the orbs will home in on you.

While it is frustrating, it does have a wicked track to it though..

Kessler was a real pain. But World at War on veteran (which I never finished) taught me that he who spams grenades usually wins.

Crawmerax Solo. It would be different if you didn't die from one hit. Even as a level 61 I couldn't beat him. (Soldier)

Oh the rage that battle brings out in people. First time i beat her I ended up doing it with Millia and just using her awesome spam to keep I-No in check, especially Millias slide. Poor Chipp (my main) just for some reason couldn't pull through.

You really shouldn't have returned the game though, one of the best fighters ever. A tough one for new comers with a touch entry barrier but it gets better over time, it's a real hardcore fighter, more so than others.

I got one for you. Try the Pizza Batman from No More Heroes II. Just no. So F*@(ING impossible. After your first deathblow, he likes to teleport around and hit you an unblockable move. You can either dodge and pray or attempt to parry, which requires perfect timing. Oh and after the second deathblow, that move turns into a ranged attack. Or the two Destroymen. ugh. No More Heroes II just had unfair boss after unfair boss.

Oh God.
I spent at least and Hour on her the other day.

I had to switch to Kliff before i finally beat her.

He ability to use overdrives almost at any time was BS, even for a Boss.
But what really sucked was how much DMG the Orbs did even if you Blocked.
Id haft to use the Guard that uses the Tension Gauge to escape the Damage if i was "Swarmed" and it would leave me with no Tension left.
Oh, and jumping behind her to avoid the Orbs?
Forget about it...
