Bravo! Once the residents find out that parking illegally will get your car destroyed, no one will park illegally anymore. All it takes is one crushed automobile to send a message to the entire town. We need more "Hands on" politicians like this guy, rather than those fat pigs who tax us ridiculous amounts and can't solve any problems.

I hope people on here realize that that was probably a broken down car that was going to be crushed/recycled anyways and the "owner" was just a dude dressed up like a rich asshole to play the part. He wasn't even all that into the role. The whole point was to pull a publicity stunt by doing something wacky. There's no way in hell that was seriously a car privately owned by a citizen that the mayor decided to run over with tank.

Still, it's pretty cool and hilarious. I like this mayor guy.

Yikes. That's pretty rough.

Look, we've all had to deal with people who illegally park their cars. It is very frustrating whenever someone flouts the law and creates difficult traffic conditions.

But you're praising someone who thinks they can just smash and wreck people for parking illegally? How many of you here can honestly say you've NEVER parked illegally in your entire life? Or Speeded? Or did an illegal turn? Not many of you.

Would you like it if, when charged with speeding, the cop then proceeded to smash the windows, smash the tail light, key your car door and then shoot out the tires? That would be a 100% pure abuse of power, right there.

This mayor is no different - yes, he is punishing those who have broken the law, BY BREAKING THE LAW HIMSELF. Politicians should be held to a higher standard. If he is so comfortable committing such a brazen and surely illegal act in public, in what OTHER ways has he abused his power? What's next, hiring people to knee-cap his political opponents? Setting fire to a store that's too late in paying taxes?

Abuse of power is never a good thing. A public citizen could never get away with doing this. But he can, just because he's powerful and the system backing him is corrupt.

Ask yourself this: What else can he get away with?

EDIT: And if this is just a public stunt to send a message, then I retract everything I've said and congratulate him on a pretty awesome campaign ad.

It was staged.

2nd to last paragraph.

Still an entertaining PSA.

*Red health bar.*
Oh christ, I should have seen this coming a mile off. I'm amazed I never saw anyone pull this fallacy since the health bars were implemented. Really ,I should be glad it took this long.
¬¬ says the guy with the exact same health than the other...

OT: i really really like this approach from the government... but it would never work here in México.
Another fallacy! How does that invalidate my opinion?
o_O really, you are talking about logical fallacies? it was just a comment about the fact that of course you would defend having a low health bar on a forum, people who don´t care are probably without health bar problems, i just found it amusing thats all, it doesn't invalidates your opinion and i never stated that!

Yeah, it was staged and makes for an amusing PSA.

That said, I'm surprised at how many people are cheering this on. Consider that, if this were actually happening, the penalty for a minor infraction is the destruction of a person's property which they might need to retain employment. So a person could wind up losing everything because of a minor infraction combined with a politician with an axe to grind. Now picture you being in that situation. Wouldn't be so fun then, would it?

And yes, that is not a tank but an APC. A tank would barely be elevated, let alone that tilted. The treads for the tank alone would as much damage as that APC did.

Now that ive watched the video, I have the sneaking sicpicion that this was more a publicity stunt with the goal of scaring those people into parking legally.

Its actually quite brilliant...

Well, I think if someone is driving a Lambo or Buggati (or however you spell it), they are most likely not hurting financally.
