Wow. Just wow.

I was staunchly Probama (Pro Obama. Psh. Too lazy to say it) during the election and Anti-McCain, but if McCain had won and someone had said that about McCain...yeah. Unless he were personally going out and killing babies, Muslims, Russians, polar bears, liberals/democrats, etc etc that's still way over the top.

Where did the whole idea of "respect the president because he's the god damn president" go?

That further proves my point on how a lot of religious people are insane.
Some are, that is true.

AND HOW

did you get a Duke Nukem badge?
This is why I'm not religious. That, and I don't think God needs me to kiss his ass day in, day out.

As to how he has that Duke Badge? He's apparently just that fuckin' AWESOME.

I honestly would not be surprised if we end up with another JFK on our hands in the near future.
I hope we don't but it could happen. I would not put it past this man.

Just about every non-religious democrat I have ever known wants the exact same thing.

If that happens the riots will burn most major American cities to the ground. Remember Rodney King? Remember the riots that ensued over a self admitted drunk crack head getting beaten by some cops? It was more than just LA that went up in smoke. Now try to imagine what happens if Obama gets shot and killed.

What had happened with Rodney King was the culmination of police all over America abusing minorities. It wasn't just a LAPD problem, it was blanket racism and it was happening for decades. An assassination attempt against the president is a little different.

You are missing my point entirely. Do you think that anger against unjust police against Africa-Americans is not still there? DO you think that anger over blatant racism that still exists today is still not there in the African America communities? Do you think all these issues and problems have just gone away? Again, you missed my point entirely.

Race relations right now are probably the best they have ever been in the entire history of America. The fact that we have a black (kind of) president kinda proves that. Do I have outline how this country started or how long blacks went without the right to vote? If you think it can get any better than it is, I think you should look at why hate crimes happen. People aren't just born racist.

Besides, I already posted earlier 14 of our 44 presidents have had someone try or succeed in assassinating them. Whether it's because of opposing views, skin color, whatever, crazy people will always find a reason to do crazy shit. It doesn't represent the ideals of the general populace.

Yes, I understand that. But the social consequences of a white President and a Black one being assassinated are going to be vastly different no matter how you try to spin it. It is a simple fact.

Yah right. Why would anyone but a white racist adult male shoot Obama? Please tell me this.

But didn't you hear? Religion is about peace and love for all mankind. This man, being a pastor is the most religious of all men, aside from the pope who advises against condoms to control aids and sacks priests who let homosexuals worship in their parishes.
Very religious indeed.
/blatant sarcasm.

Seriously, this reminds me of what Mahatma Gandhi said when he was asked what he thought of christianity:
I think it would be a good idea if people followed it

Yes, and because Ted Bundy existed it means that everyone is a mass murderer.

Why have other presidents been shot? Over political views. While there is a high probability if someone were to attempt to assassinate Obama it would probably be for racial reasons, I hope you understand not every black person voted for the man. And certainly you don't believe he is loved and revered by every single person in every country he visits.
