Wow, we have a president that actually tries to do something, and now people wanna kill him... I love my country.
Hey, at least your president tries to do some good. Here in Britain our non-elected leader just tries to nick as much money as he can from the taxpayer and calls it 'expenses claims'. WQhich is why I vote Conservative. They may be just as bad but at least David Cameron may well try to do some good, even if he will fail miserably (they all do here, after all). Or UKIP, they'll get us out of the EU and that can only be a good thing.

Back to the topic in hand. Although I'm British I wanted Obama to win, and I actually stayed up all night watching on the BBC News website the live coverage of the election. Still, if there's anything Discworld has taught me, if people want you dead then you must be doing something right. Weird but true. Obama is doing some good and people want to kill him. At least you know he's someone to trust, in that case :)

It should not matter that the video is from FOX news. The main dialogue that I am pointing to is not commentary by FOX, but rather the reverend himself. He's full of it since

A. Obama is not completely black due to having a white parent
B. Obama is indeed RICH
C. Obama is indeed educated
D. Obama is also privlidged

According to Reverend Wright, Obama should be just as bad as the white man... Reverend Wright is a racist, hate-mongering bastard. That's pretty much accepted as a fact. If you wish to do some research on your own, you may... I don't feel like searching anymore as it is 2:09AM where I am, and I am getting tired. I need to sleep.

As for the government's knee-jerk reaction... If another president were assassinated, you can bet that there will be FAR more restrictions on the First, Second, and Fourth Amendments, and I would be willing to bet they would be made to last. Again, I enjoy my rights just the way they are.
Just out of interest, what do you mean by the last paragraph? As a Brit I don't know much about the US Constitution (we don't have anything like that with our Parliament) and I wondered what those amendments are, since to me the whole paragraph doesn't make sense.

EDIT: Damn, double post, sorry.

It says in the article that it's not a fallacy if somebodys actions does indeed exclude them from a group. Nobody can truly claim to follow a man who said "A new commandment I have for you. To love one another, as I have loved you, you should all love each other" while praying for death.

Well, we all know how well prayer works... This crazy should be removed from his position and given no more attention.

Calling Obama "Red State" just makes you sound paranoid. So what is your point? Obama does want to get rid of our capitalistic system of our economy. He just want to disconnect the Health Care system from the blood sucking corporations that run it. Like I said above, the well being of humans should not be a business. The Health Care system should not have a stock value attached to it. Heath Care should be an intrinsic right of all citizens of our nation. Just like Freedom of Speech.
Obama isn't red state you clown, sneaky penguin is. Obama is a democrat, red state refers to republicans.

Ah, I apologize for not going into detail. Seeing as I have had a little bit of sleep now, I can proceed further.

I can see those particular amendments being either suspended temporarily or drastically altered if Obama were to be assassinated.

First Amendment: Freedom of speech, assembly, and the freedom to generally protest - Would most likely be restricted either temporarily or permanently as a reaction to an assassination. It would be an attempt to either keep further plotting from occurring or sympathy for the assassin's cause from being expressed by any segment of the general population.

Second Amendment: The right of the People to bear arms shall not be infringed - This one is a no brainer, and as a gun owner, it would make me very upset. What would the Federal Government do if someone shot Obama? The answer is simple... They would attempt to pass laws to take guns away from everyone; even those who had nothing to do with the assassination (assuming maybe 4-5 people were in on it, that would mean that millions of Americans could be affected who had done nothing wrong). You can bet there would be some sort of outcry for this, and it wouldn't really help the situation. It is already a hot issue.

Fourth Amendment: Protection against warrantless search and siezure - This would probably go away or be modified as well in an attempt to prevent further attempts on a president's life at any time in the future. It would also theoretically also contribute to restricting the above two.

Keep in mind that these are just theories as to what could happen if Obama were assassinated. I could not gurantee this, but you can bet that the Federal Government would act in some way to restrict out rights in an attempt to safeguard against this sort of thing in the future.
