well this will be cracked and pirated within a few days now. Actually i went down to game a few weeks ago during Xmas shopping and came across the prince of persia with this DRM and found it to only £3. Now for a game thats only about a year old it must have meant that they didn't sell it very well and the only plausible reason i can possibly think of is this type of DRM

Well there goes my interest for the game. GWL is a dealbreaker by itself, but constant online DRM just makes it soo much worse.

Is the DRM really going to solve anything? Honestly?

And for Pete's Sake people, it was Epic's decision, and no Cliffy B. is a console type of guy. Leave EA out of this since all they did was being a Publishing Partner for the game.

Epic lulz. Let's all wait to see the stupid twats complain when no one buys it on the PC.

I know I fucking won't be.
They will no doubt blame it on the pirates.

No way in hell I'm buying this now. Wanted to try out a demo to see how well my pc could run it and then consider buying it. But hey, since I can't do that, and they've now fucked everyone over, I'll be glad to not buy it at all.
To be honest you are not missing all that much. The demo lasts between 5-8 minutes (literally, it has a clock saying how long you played for), you get a choice of three weapons, but only two can be equipped in each play through and the enemies are all the same.

The actual game will probably be a lot better, but the demo doesn't inspire much confidence.

idk

I don't have a problem with this "constant connection" thing, but then again, I only play in a desktop, not a laptop =P

What has Desktop internet and Laptop internet got to do with anything in this case?

mind you, pirates actually treat pc gamers better than the developers do nowadays

which is why piracy is so big, with developers screwing on the people who actually buy their shit legit

now, I'm not saying piracy is good or something like that, but so far, I've seen enough to prove my point

idk, it's something I've been told, like, people hate on constant connection DRM because they play on laptops and wanna do it where they may not have internet or something like that

it's an argument I've seen in this forum, so I thought I could use it here =P

A shame, I was actually thinking about buying that game. I guess I won't.

You can say what you want about piracy, but at least the pirated version of this game will have all that bullshit removed. Way to punish your consumers, what a load of bollocks.

According to EAs EULA site thingy this is only for the digitally distributed version and not for the packaged... Odd...

Slow down, if you read it, it says you only need a constant internet connection if you purchase it digitally. You don't need a constant internet connection if you buy it in a store. http://www.ea.com/1/product-eulas

Urgh, god dammit.
If I do end up buying this and it screws up even once I'm gonna be using a crack.
Yea, something tells me I'm gonna be cracking it as soon as they figure out how.

If someone has a Laptop, then they'll be getting Wireless...which is only logical, which covers most of the house and neighbors, so no that wouldn't be an issue.

And playing games outside, say at the Airport, on the Airplane and in a Starbucks also isn't a valid excuse since you shouldn't be playing a game that drains your battery life in under 30 minutes.

Honestly, whoever said that (not you I'm assuming) should be smacked on the head. I understand we're trying to make an Anti-Constant Internet Debate for games, but this argument is frankly ridiculous and doesn't have a proven ground of logic to begin with.

Now I remember one thing that makes being a console gamer a little easier. DRM. Fuck it.
As this becomes more common in PC gaming, I hope the "superiority" of the platform fanboys dies down a little.

Steady on there, baby steps, baby steps. The 'master race' attitude can only be stemmed through the careful application of diplomacy.

This combined with the lack of a demo is a pretty disgusting approach towards pc gamers.
