Generalising MUCH!?Dexter111 said:Difference between the two is though that most of the people you call "PC Elitists" usually play games for 15+ if not 20+ years already and also have had and played several console games, usually even tried those "Next-Gen" consoles or have one of them and don't like them very much.
They've been avid gamers for years, supported gaming companies everyone knows nowadays by buying their stuff when they needed it the most and made them grow "big" (they've been through the times when games were made by gamers for gamers just to see them become corporate money-grubbing whores pulling shit all the time) and might even have some modding or programming experience on their belt themselves.
While "Console fanboys" usually started "gaming" when their parents bought them a X360 or XBoX and haven't really tried anything else, with their favorite game being something like "Halo" or "Metal Gear Solid". They don't care for or have the technical knowledge to try PC gaming, usually they also fight amongst themselves e.g. SONY vs. Microsoft (not caring that it's only a business for those two and all that "Exclusive" bullshit is just a marketing stunt to make more cash while making the "gamer" pay more and nothing else) and always seem to spout something along the lines of "I dun caer they b cumpanies, I still buy even if they taek a dump in the gaem box cause is Halo!!!" without having a basic understanding of what it entails for the future of gaming as a whole or company policies and don't seem to care much if a game gets ruined or they're being ripped off by marketing people.
p.s. If you feel the need to modify the game to make it playable/enjoyable, why the hell are you wasting your money on buying it?!
