The newest game that my current PC can run is Black and White 2. I will upgrade sometime, if I find a reason to, Beyond Good and Evil 2 may be that reason, but until then, I'll stick with what I have.

Anyway, Escapers, can you suggest some good games from 2006 and earlier?

Unreal Tournament 2004

I do like the game but to be brutally honest, I only said that in particular because its the only game I can think of that is definitely pre 2006.

Actually the Monkey Island games. It took me until this year to play them for the first time, and I fell in love.

Define run. Highest settings, lowest settings, somewhere in the middle? That's important stuff to know, otherwise I can't really be much help other than saying "POPULAR GAMES THAT EVERYONE CAN RUN!"

If you can run it on the highest settings than you can play everything that's out there, for the most part, with various settings. Some lower, some higher.

Far Cry if you want a shooter or Rome: Total war if you want strategy. Both are fantastic games from 2004 I think.

Well, Black and White 2 runs with lag. Basically I'm just asking for any games before 2006 no matter the requirements. You suggest the game, I'll check the requirements and save you the work :p.

This is all you need. $20 on Steam, go. Thank me later.
Thank you very much, I'll buy that now :p. I've heard good things after it's been patched.

Ok people, I'm writing down a list here, keep them coming. The rarer and more unheard of the better, because I already have many games (Over 200 actually :p). The games can be as old as you like, as long as they come from the CD/DVD era, no floppy's.

Call of Duty 1 and 2, Fallout 1 and 2, Deus Ex, The Longest Journey, Max Payne 1 and 2, Indigo Prophecy, The Orange Box, any of the Command and Conquer series (3 might be hard to run, but anything before that should be fine), and I know there are a bunch more.

This, but you need to patch the hell out of it. It's quite buggy.

The Age of Wonders Series. Its like a turn based RTS (I refuse to call it TBS) and Ièm still hooked on these games. If anyone knows what they are odds are they love them.
