PC Gaming Elitism

So I'm browsing Facebook and I discover a group entitled "Consoles Suck".

I begin to read the group description and realize just why some people hate PC gaming or at least PC gamers. I'm a PC gamer at heart (even though I do own consoles). PC games to me are much more complex and satisfying than others on a console. This, however, just makes me ashamed of who I am. Any thoughts?

I hate it, it's just as bad as the console wars (which, ironically, alot of them make fun of), and this site is loaded with 'em (although it's still better than most places on the internet).

I'm a pc and console gamer, and it's difficult not to realize the stupidity of what some people say when you've actually played both.

Weird... It's funny because for the cost of an i7 processor I could probably get a 360...

I'm a console gamer. Do I wish I had a PC gaming rig? Yes, but I'm under the firm impression that if I also owned a PS3 then I would have access to every platform, which would make me happy. I think gaming elitism stems from people who can't afford to own every platform, making up a reason to validate their purhcase.

God damn it guys, let the console kiddies hate their fun. And hey, maybe consoles are fun. Stop making facebook groups and go play on your PCs. (PC gamer at heart here, own no consoles. At least, not anymore)

I believe there are gaming genre's that lend itself to one platform or another. My PC has more horsepower than an XBox360 and it hooks up to my TV... You wouldn't catch me dead playing an FPS on a console with my thumbs... nor would you see me try and play Street Fighter with my keyboard. It's not about being elitest for me so much as logical.

As a console gamer who has neither the money for motivation to get a pimpin' PC gaming rig, I honestly don't care whether or not PC gamers get better games/experiences or not, because I'm not one of them and probably never will be, so any advantages of PC gaming were never within my grasp or thought processes anyway, I'm making the most of what I have, whole lot less time consuming than hating on someone for something stupid like that.

I feel your just seeing what you want to. I've saw a sony gamer and a 360 gamer get into a fist fight once. I've never seen a PC gamer physically fight anyone.

Dude, Alienware. Sure, you'll be even futher off with the money, but the motivation... they've got, like, awesome cooling flaps that open up on top and it looks all cool and stuff. Awww yeah.

Becuase we'd win. We only fight the worthy opponent. That, or we're lazy fucks and won't bother, at least until we can punch people over a standard TCP/IP connection.
