If it's elitist to call BS when people say their controllers aim better than a mouse, or when they say they can pull better graphics when PC gamers pay more for that, then elitist I am.

There's a difference between having a personal preference/opinion and being an elitist moron.

I'm a PC gamer. I spend the vast majority of my time gaming on the PC, and only really ever play on a console these days if I'm over at a friend's and we're playing splitscreen. Personally, I vastly prefer mouse and keyboard over console controllers for virtually every game (the few exceptions being platformers, the GTA series and fighting games). In fact, I prefer PC gaming over console gaming in almost every way possible. But that's just my personal preference. I'm not going to start an argument stating that PCs are the superior games platform and that PC gamers are the master race, because that's just idiotic.

Anyone that tries to claim that their personal favourite gaming platform is objectively better than any other is an idiot.

PC gamers are smarter, better looking, and all have bigger wangs than console gamers... even the females.

It's also a hard scientific fact that all PC gamers not only get more sex than console gamers, but also satisfy their partners 34% more on average.

A lot of PC gamers build and maintain their own rigs, which is something to take pride in. Some (not I) probably feel that console gamers are copping out by buying a pre-manufactured gaming machine.

Of course there's pride involved when you have to shell out ~$1,000 to get a gaming rig that will last for several years without upgrading. Consoles cost half that and have a far longer life because games are built down to specs, and yes I said down. AvP, for example, looks and plays great on the PC, but it's choppier and less pretty on a console. Enmity is naturally going to exist on both sides because of it.

I'm a PC and console player, and I have to say that PCs are actually a lot better. Sure, the consoles have they're own strengths (simple, easy networking, exclusive games), but for the games that ARE cross-platform, the PC one is always the best. Usually.

There is also something so indescribably more satisfying about using a mouse and keyboard than a controller.

I have to disagree. I've seen an almighy amount of bitching going on between PS3 and 360 fanboys. Whiny pathetic idiots will be whiny pathetic idiots, regardless of their gaming platform of choice.

No, it's worse on PC. PC elitists who spend hundreds to make their PC top of the line when only like 3 games require you to do so, prove that.

Exactly this. From my experiences, it seems that about half the people on Facebook are immature, hateful, ignorant jackasses who can't spell. You know, like everywhere on the internet (Except the Escapist, of course). Besides, I'm sure there are also groups for people who hate Xbox, people who hate PC gamers, etc.., not just hardcore PC gamers against everyone else.

I'm primarily a PC gamer, I think the PC is a better platform with everything taken into consideration, community, game quality, community, and last but not least community.

For those observant folk out there, yes, I said community 3 times that's because it is the single most important thing when playing online. If you want a perfect example of a bad one go onto Modern Warfare 2 on PS3/360 9 games out of 10 you will find some incarnation of internet scum.(if you try to contradict me on that you must live a very sheltered life and/or likely deaf.) for a good one try any Valve game for the PC (TF2, L4D etc.) where in 99 games out of 100 you WON'T find internet scum.

I'm sorry but I should be able to play every aspect of something I have paid for and be able to play it with some people that don't have an ASBO (or at least seem like they deserve one), and play them with a team that at the very least keeps their opinions to themselves or plays the game as it is meant to be played, by having some well intentioned fun with other gamers.
