Anyone else get this problem? I'm 13 and almost everyone my age isn't mature enough to really do ANYTHING with, I spend most of my social interaction time hanging out with my older brothers friends and people online (Ventrilo), anyone else have to happen to them?

Yeah, I'm 21 and most people my age act like they're 14. Only now they have the ability to legally drink themselves silly. Alcohol+ immaturity= BAD

I had the same issue, less so now; I've kinda loosened up a bit. But a few years ago I wildly preferred adult company to most of the others at my age.

I was always the mature one of the group.
Hence why I sought older friends.

I don't know if I'm mature or not.
I love bouncing around, being an idiot and laughing at nothing, and I like taking things seriously, having a rational debates and sorting puzzles.

Depends on my mood, or the day of the week, I'm not sure.

At 13 I thought I was a man ready to take on the world and all the little kids around me were stuck in childhood.

At 32 I look back on myself and think "what a dumbass kid."

Without meaning to cause offence it sounds like you're the problem here not them. You think you're more mature than you are while the rest are just normal kids(yes kids because you don't suddenly stop being a child as soon as you hit 13).Don't be in such a rush to grow up because it's not a fun as you might think

Yeah I've had your problem before. Luckily I've found a group of friends who I fit in with (i.e. stupid conversations, followed by intelligent conversations, then conversations about music with guitars in it, then conversations about video games... I'm very happy.)

So are you to mature for crazy shenanigans, like setting your hand on fire and various other parts of the body, jumping off of roofs, hiding in boxes dressed as a pirate in town and when someone walks past....you jump out and shout "ARGHH"

When I was 13 I could spell "aren't" correctly.
how ever clearly your still immature
And you used the word "your" incorrectly, unless you like describing people as other peoples belongings.
Its "you're", as in, short for "you are".
/Grammar Nazi rant is over.

On topic, I felt that way when I was 13 (which was a year ago, not like being 14 makes a difference) and I kind of felt proud of the fact that I didn't shout down my microphone calling everyone a "******" and acting immature in whole.

Sure, I act immaturely occasionally, but I never over-do it.

Out of curiosity, how do you define "mature?" I personally define it as "how willing you are to let people bend you over backwards and take advantage of you" but I was wondering what your definition is.

Perhaps you're simply too mature... Being mature is overrated and boring... there's plenty of time to do that in the future when you get stuck in a dead end job.

well i've been gaming with my "friend's" older nerdy brothers since I was about 7, but I'm not sure that counts as mature. I do find many people I know irritatingly eager to slag off, annoy and otherwise degrade those around them in a way I'd call immature, but on the other hand, I'm the first to scream yay! and prance around in public.
Sorry for the totally inconclusive answer, but I'm not sure there is one for "maturity"
