I'm the same way, I'm having trouble finding a girl I'm interested in dating because they are all immature and stupid.

No offense but you sound really boring. You sound like 'that guy' that tries to grow up too fast. Your a kid, act like it, chill out and have some fun. Grown up life isn't all it's cracked to be. Enjoy childhood while you can.

I'm 19 and my friends and I still act like children when we want to.

I have mild OCD and ADD (or ADHD, not sure) so I try my hardest to be mature. I can sit still for several hours as long as I'm stimulated, but if the class is doing something stupid/boring then I'll goof of and start playing with a ruler or something.

I'm sixteen, the second youngest in my junior class, and I act older than most of my classmates. Only a few others are as mature as myself. It doesn't matter the age, however, people mature at different rates... Some don't even mature at all, so lets be thankful for those who are gradually maturing.

There's a an art to being immature. You need to do it correctly.

For instance, calling someone a "******" in all seriousness (and it's not funny in jest either really) is immature, and also makes you an idiot and ignorant.

Jumping around having fun while everyone stares at you is immature, but I think it's good immaturity. Everyone deserves to have fun and not be boring, and you don't care about peer pressure - your fun, not theirs.

Just so long as you can also be intelligent on the side, everything's good.

That's my opinion on maturity anyway.

Well it won't change, I'm 19 and people still act immature
Same, only I'm one of those immature people :D

OT: Yo may feel mature in comparison to your peers, but at 13 you've still got a loooong way to go. Hell, most of my friends are 18-21 and we still act like kids. We can get down to srs bsns if we need to, but as soon as business is done, its back to clowning around :D

I wasn't like other people my age when I was 13, in much the same way you seme to be describing, but looking back I absolutely would not call myself mature. I was just as immature as the rest of them, just in an utterly different way. At last nowadays I'm mature enough to know that I'm still not mature.

(And why would I want to be?)

Also, seeking out older friends doesn't necessarily mean you seek more mature company, just older company.

Anyone else get this problem? I'm 13 and almost everyone my age isn't mature enough to really do ANYTHING with, I spend most of my social interaction time hanging out with my older brothers friends and people online (Ventrilo), anyone else have to happen to them?
maybe it is because your 13, boys mature around 25 and girls at 15 what do you expect kids will be kids

At 13 I thought I was a man ready to take on the world and all the little kids around me were stuck in childhood.

At 32 I look back on myself and think "what a dumbass kid."
Ain't that the truth ;)

ONTOPIC :the older you get, the more you will look back at your "former" self, and think you were immature when you were younger.
Don't forget, you will learn things your entire life, with each passing moment, you will become more and more mature ;)

just you wait and see, when you are 18, you will think you were just as much of an immature kid like everyone else at the age of 13, so... my conclusion? meh, were all children of men ;)

Perhaps you're simply too mature... Being mature is overrated and boring... there's plenty of time to do that in the future when you get stuck in a dead end job.
^ this .. god this..

enjoy your youth while you have it kid.

I'm 13 and I have the exact same thing, also, you're 14, to be 13 you need to have been born between 31/3/1996 and 30/3/1997 unless I am mistaken, which wouldn't be surprising because I am very tired.

You're 13. You're meant to be immature. Jesus, I'm nearly 19, and I'm not mature. And you know what? It's fun. Not to say you should be a dick. Just kind of silly.

I'm almost 24, and I know a lot of people who never bothered growing up. Perpetual state of childhood. Not sure why.

And I fucking like it that way. Same reason why I act flamboyantly homosexual in public.
You're my new favourite person of the day.

Anyway, childhood is fun, you've got a genuine excuse to act immature, don't waste it by trying too hard to be mature for whatever reason, you've got decades of being forced to act mature for social acceptability ahead of you, don't grow up just yet.

Seriously, you can get away with being immature now, but give it a few years and you'll look like an idiot for being immature.

I think people my age are immature, but so are most teenagers. I like to think I have a more mature way of thinking, but I have no idea how I could possibly quantify that. I think I'm more mature, being disappointed at hearing other people my age brag about how drunk they get, and yet I have no way of knowing that. Everyone's diferent, I guess.

That's very, very, very wrong. People born between those years would be 3 years old.
