Not really. It's a common occurrence for kids to be playing in the park or something and fall over. They could also put their hand in shit as they're falling down, and then touch their eyes.
Then they'll probably get...pink eye. We're talking about first world children, right? They get out of school for a few days. Maybe have to take some eye drops. Quelle horreur!

Using such an absurd example isn't helping your case.
It doesn?t matter. Prevention is better than cure, and I bet those kids won?t take too kindly to having to take those eyedrops, even if it?s for a couple of days.

Anyway, my point is: your pet is your responsibility. That means cleaning up after it, whether it?s in your house or outside. It?s really not that hard to just bend down and scoop it up into a bag.

I never touch my dog's shit, even though its clearly stated in my apartment lease agreement that it is required that I do so. I've stepped in dog shit several times while on the apartment grounds, so I feel like I've paid my dues.

Honestly, the fact that this is even an issue shows how decadent and bloated the first world has become. I grew up in the 80's and picking up after your dog wasn't even a thing then.

Now that I think about it, picking up dog shit just adds to the amount of plastic that we as humans, discard daily. One day in the future, we'll all live in houses made out of filthy plastic with plastic water bottles for windows. You will look back and say, man if I had just left that shit where it fell, maybe there'd be less plastic today.

Dog shit is very biodegradable, and on top of that it reintroduces nitrogen and other nutrients essential for plant growth back into the soil. Plastic doesn't. Leave the dog shit alone.
I grew up in the 80's too and I don't recall my parents ever leaving the back yard full of shit to step in. It was as nasty then as it is now.

Also, most dog poop bags are made of biodegradable ingredients these days.

I walk my dog three times a day and he always shits in the bushes. And no way in hell am I gonna pick it up.

I'm sorry, but no. I've got my dog to do his #2's in an area where kids don't play unless they're already filthy little bastards. There's also plenty of duck shit, cat shit, and horse shit around wich apparently doesn't bother anyone.

If it's on the sidewalk, sure. People walk there, you clean that shit up. But if it's already in the bushes? No fucking way! And what if he has diarrhea or other less than consistent faeces? Am I supposed to soak that crap up with a sponge or something?
