It is crazy but if it's how they choose to live their lives, let them be. Are they seriously hurting anybody?

It should have been a requirment to post your own lifestyle choices (and some that weren't choices) before judging these "Vampires" criticly. I see people tossing around "they're crazy," and judging these people like they've done something criminal. Is your life really so much better than theirs that you can look down on theirs.

I'm no "vampire." A night owl, sure, but no "vampire." But the "normal" way I live my life is average to many, crazy to just as many, and undefineable to some. I'm sure if we heard any one of your stories posted here, anyone that could not relate may judge you just as hard as you've done here.

So my point; don't judge. You're no better, so don't act like you are. :p
A post of sense in a sea of people, pointing and laughing by means of typing in little words in a box and clicking "post", as if this is any better.

If someone wants to dress up in black, give someone else a little prick, then drink their blood, as long as neither of them have hepatitis or something then so the fuck what? I've known people to do some much stranger things, and it seems these folks are forming little social groups around their chosen hobby.

You know what is even more weird? Sitting on a chair all day long moving your hand around a 1ft square watching little flashing lights on a screen in front of you, all while there is this huge, weird, and wonderful world outside.

I remember seeing a documentary ages ago where they had some people who had got addicted to blood (their gut-lining got used to its presence or something). One guy said that drinking blood help alieviate the symptoms of a blood disorder he had.
I've got nothing against people drinking each others blood as long as they've done the proper health checks etc, but I do think they're a bit on the headcase side if they actually think that they're real vampires and not just people who like the image.

Reminds me of a girl who used to date a friend of mine. She thought she was a were-wolf, even though she failed to notice when it was a full moon. She was also an utter arse, so I was glad when they split up.

The psykic vampire thing sounds a bit far fetched though. If they're saying sex feeds it, then it sounds like a silly excuse to try to avoid being slagged off for sleeping around.

As long as it isn't becuase they watched Twilight, I could care less.

If it is, they need to be shot in the knee caps and given a copy of Brahm Stoker's 'Dracula'.

Any hot girls? I bet they're crazy in bed...
Errr... from the 20/20 expose... They we're all in their 40's. And looked like drug addicts.

The crazy part might fit still though...
I was kinda hoping for some 17-21 year old slightly gothy chick. *sigh* Nevermind then.
hey, we can all hope

They also buy fangs and... well it just gets even more absurd, such as wearing sunglasses and using umbrellas every day to deflect the sun.
I feed off of sex too, please I don't want to die young lets do it right now.

People in general are weird theres a lot more fucked up shit than this but because of freedom of speech we have to put up with their bullshit.

Absolutely fucking crazy as they may be, as long as the weird shit they do is consensual it's none of my business.

...Actually, I doubt many of them have a real mental disorder, it just seems to be a case of "For the love of God, look at me!"

I'm a werepony! At night, I turn into a pony and roam the earth, eating grass and having dirty pony intercourse with other ponies(I'm a Psychic Pony)

Seriously now, people are fucking idiots. You want to be special? Good for you! Now go back into the basement you crawled from and stay there.

Last year I was reading in a magazine about a small group of people who regarded themselves as vampires. They actually drank blood from consenting partners.

Thank you. I have to admit my first-- very first reaction was not as open minded as I came off to claim. My first response was, "that's really strange." But then, "well, who am I to decide that's strange. I'd be strange because this that and the other thing, so why can't they be vampires?" This, and a life long lesson in not judging other peoples lifestyles. :) I may get started on the wrong foot, but I always try to think it through and come out positive. Thinking, being a lost art, these days.

Speaking of people not doing alot of thinking....

Must be a Fox News report, cause that was a load of Bull. Some people are smarter, can run faster, climb higher, etc et al, but a person is not made better by their lifestyle choices. By, I have to wonder, what standards are you judging these people you don't even know? Is it just cause they identify as something you personally find silly?

I dunno what you've done with your life, aside from 13 hours of boarderlands, and choosing mottos that don't fit your actual outlook, but these are the people with the spotlight, not you.

I'm with you there broski. Twilight is selling masturbatory aide to little girls.. Who grow up into big girls with a breadbasket case of problems.. Maybe they might turn in naughty little girls because of those problems. Maybe there parents push them to much, or they have a fight with their bf/gf because they're crazy motherfuckers and end up at the bar, willing.

One can hope.

I have a motto?

And yes, a person is made better or worse by certain lifestyle choices. Namely the ones that make you a moron. You can pretend they aren't, if it makes you sleep easier at night, but being smarter, stronger, more successful, and a more positive force in the universe does, in fact make someone better than someone else.

I'm better than trailer trash. I'm better than neo-nazis. I'm better than people who think that vampires are real and that they get to be one. If there are people out there who believe that eating their own feces allows them them to perform feats of superhuman strength but they can only perfom said feats when no one else can see them, I'm better than them too. Know why? Because all of the above are stupid.

Intelligence is a fairly good standard to judge folks on, in my eyes. Sorry if that hurts your precious feelings so much that you had to research my Steam profile.

/wink

Yeah, sure, there are people who get their kicks from drinking blood. It doesn't bug me, and I can't really see why it would affect anybody else. They're not hurting anybody, since there seem to be more than enough non-Vamps willing to go along with this. I guess it's more of a danger, fantasy thing than anybody else.

It's their life. I'm not going to tell them how to live it. As long as most of them are non-violent, they're not a problem.

Back in the early 90's I got told by a girl while waiting to see a band play that she was a 200yr old vampire who'd only just finished vampire school.

I told her'thats nice',and walked off.Even nearly twenty years ago I had zero tolerance for that bullshit.

Now its just out of control.
