The Irish War of Independance. Nothing would be more satisfying than shooting a Black and Tan and then cycling away on your bike.

Play one of the civilization games and you'll experience every period of history, including the ones that haven't happened yet :p Honestly, though, after Assassin's Creed 2 I finally got to play a Renaissance game like I've always wanted, so my life is complete.

Stone Age.

It's barely been touched. I think there was a Source Engine mod in development a while back that was a multiplayer FPS set in the time of cave-dweller's, but I don't think it came to anything. Then there's Zeno Clash, which had the right sort of aesthetic, but a bit too much "fantasy" in it to be the actual stone age.

I'd like to see what some developers could do with that kind of setting. Could be really interesting.

I wouldn't mind one about the Irish Civil War or the War For Independence.

But that's mostly because I'm Irish.

itd be cool to see a game based on the 39 steps (pre-world war I era). as for the game play/story itd be an on the run espionage thriller where you have to find clues and avoid the spies that are after you.

I'm a Canadian in an American history class and even after learning about the 13 colonies I still try to find more research on it. It's a very interesting time period and I think it would be great for a game's setting. It could start with your character being one of the colonists and end with the war of 1812 or one of the other battles.

I'd like to see some fantasy games set in the Frank Franzetta, Boris Vallejo, and Julie Bell era of art.

So I guess...late 70's?

(This is a thinly veiled attempt to say I want a game using their art styles.)

Oh oh oh! I want a stealth/gorilla FPS! You know, you play like a ninja gorilla or something. Or just a regular gorilla.

exactly tthats why it would be awesome! it would be on a huge scale, with all aspects having to go perfectly to gain ground, although i'll admit not for everyone.

Really want to play an RPG/Action RPG set in Ancient Greece.

And i mean real Ancient Greece, not 'God-of-War' ancient greece...
So instead of the sex minigame with Aphrodite you'd have it with a young boy? :-|

A cold war game, that would be cool. Although I suppose all you would do would be threatening to press A and launch WMDs...

Bubonic plauge. Not an action game obviously. More a heavy rain style do what you will with a set of characters and live through the plauge.

I think it would be cool to play WWII from the Axis' perspective. Like you'd see all of the speeches and hear all the propaganda and such. It'd give people a whole new understanding of the war. Of course, they were supposed to be evil without question, and the controversy over such a game would be astounding, so it'll probably never happen.
