Personality-Based Superpowers. What are yours?

Ummm... well I have a really vivid imagination so, err, I can creat illusions like DC comic's Saturn Girl, it be quite cool if the illusions could interact with reality, like imaging a sword and it doing damage to real things. So, maybe a combination of illusion and being able to make imagined stuff real.

Or, I'd have the power over Rocks and minerals, cos I love 'em so much. (Yes, Geologist and proud).

Actually it's a good point about the Fantastic 4 and their powers. But the question is, what came first, the idea for the super power or the personality?

Solid light projection.
Neater sounding way of saying holograms I can make solid. Kinda like Green Lantern but without an oath and responsibility. Also, everything would be properly colored not just one color. Makes telling stories far more interesting.

Shapeshifting, straight up. Be anyone or anything or change parts of my body into anything. If not shape shifting, I choose the powers of the on great artifact. The one artifact that could bring the world to it's knees... The Mask! The Mask cannot be beaten, no one can beat old timey slapstick cartoon antics.

Chameleon bruiser, pretty much. I'm a social shapeshifter, assimilating the customs and tastes of whatever group I happen to be in. And I'm a large man who likes to smash things.

Darn! So many shapeshifters but I thought they'd pass over Chameleon completely.

Yeah, I often times feel like I have no actual personality of my own because I tend to go along with people, so I'd say a subtle chameleon shift. Maybe instead of customs and tastes, behaviors and looks, like walking onto a plane and my clothes shifting into that of a flight attendant (I can BS my way through serving passengers, can't BS flying a plane, and no, Snakes on a Plane does not teach us that all you need is a PSP to learn.)

Im very cynical so my power is Yahtzee. (Predictable Joke) In total seriousness though it would probably telekinesis. I would throw sharp objects around with this power.

Hmmm...I'm lazy. Pretty clever. I'm a good shot. I have perfect vision, unlike every other member of my family. I like SCIENCE. I'm told I'm a good leader but I don't like to lead.

So... a telekinetic leader who can shoot lightning from his hands and lasers from his eyes? I'unno.

Mind reading. It's not so much that I can at the moment tell what people are thinking, but people open up to me...all the time, so I guess the best way to translate that into a power would be a knowledge of what they in the real world will eventually tell me anyway.

This is a question posed to me by a friend of mine earlier tonight, and I was wondering what my fellow Escapists would say in response. The question is:

If you were struck by some vague, non-specific twist of reality and given superpowers based on your personality, what would they be?

The Fantastic Four, as my friend pointed out, are one such example. Ben is strong, tough, and stubborn, Johnny is a cocky hotshot, etc. What about you, my fellow Escapists? What would your powers be? Mine would probably be color clones, control and manipulation over sound, luck, and exceptional skill and coordination with firearms and incendiary explosives.

Mind reading. I'm very good at reading body language and diction so it would have to be mind reading.
