Superb analytical prowess and a mind blast a la Telepath Rpg, wherein I transmit the mad gibbering in my head into the minds of others to destroy their feeble connection to sanity.

Ah, hell... I don't know.

Maybe some ultra analysis powers. Mind reading for certain. I have this obsession for details and wanting to know why people do the things that they do. Uh... maybe my hair will change color depending on my mood. If I'm happy, it will glow yellow. If I'm said, then it'll glow blue.

Yeah, there's like nothing overly awesome about my personality I can think of at the moment besides all that.

Oh, oh! Maybe I can take fictional things and bring them into existence. Yeah... That would be bloody sweet and it's certainly up there with my creativity and love of all things fiction.

I'd gain the ability to turn invisible to the opposite sex especially. I just sorta blend into the crowds I am in already. Or I'd gain encyclopedic levels of useless knowledge.

Also whatever the ability to control animals and nature is. I'm good with animals and bad with people, so invisibility? (Actually camoflauge and the ability to blend in with nature sounds more appropriate)

I'd hope to get some form of flight with my naturey powers as well, I think I deserve that lol

But if not nature, then some form of mind control. That way I could make old rich people buy me stuff (the scroogy type, not the nice type).

Why is it that most people here believe their personality-based power would involve either extreme violence or manipulation/deception?

That doesn't really bode well for the Escapist community...

I'd be able to kill people just with my hatred of them.

Good thing I don't have that power or I think most of the escapist forums would be wiped out by now.

Edit: Actually scratch that, most of the planet would.

Stir peanut butter with my mind. Definitely. Defeat my foes with excellent PB&J sammiches.

No, actually, I couldn't say. It would probably be something mental; something akin to my assorted and random knowledge.

Well, I'm very quiet and shy, so I'd probably get invisibility.

Either that, or I could heal others, because I like to help people.

In my opinion, both would be pretty kick-ass abilities.
Why not to have both? :) I would personally have exacly these powers.

Probably the "mental exemplar" package. For those of you not familiar with the Whateley Universe [http://crystalhall.org/], basically eidetic memory, savant-level mental calculation, and the ability to pick up new skills and grasp new concepts very quickly.

Invulnerability, and the ability to let moving objects phase through me (eg: landslide, bus, rain). Generally a disconnection from external influences.

Personality based? I'd be able to freely control doors, reflecting my laziness level that is so high that I don't even want to have to open a door.

I'd have some kind of temporal control. I tent to procrastinate on important projects, then through some miracle, get 16 hours of work done in the 4 hours before it's due. I guess I'd be able to stop and slow time to allow myself to get shit done *just* before the deadline.

Oh, yeah, and I suppose that would let me save people and stuff too.

Yeah some mind power is probably most likely, i am a very persuasive person, i love to have discussions about stuff. I am also the one who asks philosophic questions and over analyzes everything, im the one that gets asked questions because i like random facts.

But im also very lazy so control over time might just be possible as well

(more time to chill)

My laziness would give me the power to slow down time.
Slight social awkwarness would grant me invisibility.
And my helpfulness would spawn the ironic ability to heal others at the expense or my own health.

Oh, and sometimes the powers would "reverse." I'd be superfast, awe inspiring and able to suck the life out of people.

There was a demon who sort of did that in one episode of Buffy. Of course, his victims burst into flames...
