I feel like starting a petition to have people barred from starting petitions over video games that are made for satire.
I like the way you think!
Mostly because I was thinking the same thing.
You know what they say: "people who think alike, think about the same thing that they're thinking like" ... I think.

Who cares it?s an Internet petition, and we all know how seriously those are taken.
RoboCop in Detroit is an internet petition.

It might fucking happen!
Didn?t the mayor refuse to build that because it was a waste of public funds?

Yes some citizens are funding it but the petition was started to convince the mayor to build it. What makes you think that Wal-Mart or Gearbox are going to take an internet petition seriously if he didn?t?

And stop that backwards typing its not funny it?s just annoying.

Ah, the Duke is truly back now. Anyone have their own take on this? As you can tell by my avatar, I don't mind Duke getting touchy touchy.
Maybe if the Duke slapped the people signing the petition they wouldn't be so rowdy?

Actually, a lot of the stuff I've been hearing about this game recently has been disheartening me. I liked the cave man attitude as a kid but even back then I felt the 'babes' were kind of pointless and childish. A buddy of mine has been keeping tabs on this and everyday he tells me about some new little tidbit. "You can chug beers!" "You can slap a girl on the ass!"

So?

I'm being quickly dissuaded from purchasing this game myself- seems too childish. However, what do I care about other people playing it? Why does everybody have to stand up and be heard about every little thing. I probably won't buy this game because of the sophomoric humor but I do respect a company's right to sell the game. People just seem to like petitioning games.

It's Change.org. They are taken very fucking seriously. As in, basically anything that's already got this many signatures happens.
Except that Gearbox has nothing to fear as it has guaranteed sales.

Wait a minute,
Punching aliens in the jewels, OK
A situation where aliens turn men into pigs and other game enemies, OK
The aliens plan to abduct the woman from earth, OK
The Duke is sent to retrieve the said woman from the aliens, and killing the said aliens in any way shape, form or hilarity, OK
Swearing like the Duke, and his chauvinistic jokes, OK
Multiplayer mode where we kill each other in anyway shape, form or hilarity, OK
Duke slaps the butt of a woman to calm her down, Line Crossed

Yeah ok, and did MW2 get this kind of petition when the No Russian mission was revealed?

Sure, but Change.org could easily stop Walmart from selling it. I sign alot of petitions on there (not this one, though) and tend to get alot of emails a few weeks later about them succeeding. These guys really do live up to their name.
So Walmart is traditionally an evil corporation that apparently bows to people who claim they will boycott them? The hell is Walmart thinking they have nothing to worry about since they undercut all the local competition to the point that they are forced out of business and Walmart ends up with a Monopoly. At least that's what happens to most suburban areas in Canada.

The Capture the Babe mode of the Duke Nukem game, which will be played primarily by young people
And right here is where they lose their argument. The game is rated 18 (or M in America), so the only way that anyone under the age of 18 (or 17 in America) is if their parents buy it for them. That is either the choice of the parent, or due to their stupidity in not looking into the game first. Either way, hardly the fault of the developers
