'Pick-up artist' banned from the UK

Hello to all at the Escapist. It's been a while.

I would like to know your thoughts on the matter at hand cause I think this is a very interesting subject. A professional 'pick-up artist' has been denied a visa to enter the UK due to grounds of sexism. You might think just by reading that, that it may be something blown out of the water but if you dig deeper, you may see why.

From reading the articles and looking more into what this guy does, I just determined, for myself, that this man is a massive prick. You can say harsher words if you wish too. His tactics on how to "persuade women to sleep with you" is extreme, offensive and dangerous to women and I don't think anyone would agree with his tactics. However some are willing to pay £1000 to see him. Okay, that isn't the point. They can do as they please.

How do you feel about this news? Should he be banned from the UK? and how did you feel about his... Sorry I don't know how to put it into words, it's just distasteful.

This guy sounds like someone I would not piss on if they were on fire so i have no problem with the Home office refusing him enty. However I can't help but think they have better and more important things to do with their time.

Remarkably despite what some people seem to think, women are capable of opinions and thoughts of their own, and unless something non-consensual has happened, I'm not seeing the issue here.

I mean, don't get me wrong, he seems overly eager, but, it's a bit far to accuse somebody of being a potential criminal given there have been no events prior that give any indication of such thing being something he's capable of.

IIRC, he's big on explaining how to harass (include choke) women and get away with it. He posted a diagram of common forms of abuse and said "Might as well be a checklist" or words to that effect.

Rape=/= sexual assault. Rape requires penetration. Rape is a sub category of sexual assault, but there are many other types of sexual assault. Yes women on film have rejected his advances, and there have been MANY recorded cases of women letting him know it was not consensual. People are not entitled to walk up and touch and kiss others without their permission. The thing is he is proud of doing this.

People advocate killing of all jews, blacks, whites, men etc and still get admitted into country since there is no proof that they did it. That is innocent until proven guilty. Is equal treatment for ALL so hard to comprehend?

That is what he does, he teaches men how to do this and manipulate he women into not reporting it. Teaching them how to do this is what they are paying him money to learn.

He uses the fact that most are not going to report sexual assault to get away with doing it, and uses manipulation to ensure they do not.

So the guy started out making videos of him doing this and showing how he got the girls not to report him. Guys wanted to know how to do that too, so now he charges them money for him to teach them how to sexually assault women and manipulate them into not reporting it. Sure Some of the videos have been pulled now due to the nature of them, but MANY people already viewed them before they took them down. I am sure they exist somewhere on line still. DID you miss this happening when the videos were put up in the first place?
