In all seriousness.
Since the new server system IW uses it's not possible for any person to kick another as of now. Obviously this is heavily exploited by pirates
Way to go IW
Pirates use cutlasses, not scimitars. Scimitars are what you'd expect Arabian bandits to be waving above their heads as they charged you across the desert on horseback.RetiarySword said:Are there people running around with simitars and eye patches? I want to play it now.
Being that 360 and PS3 gamers are pirating it also I guess they'll be giving up making games altogether?HG131 said:Because when you don't they give up on you. COD will be console exclusive if enough people pirate.Terramax said:Not at all. IW aren't giving legit gamers respect, why should be expected to respect their work?MGlBlaze said:Of course, them pirating the game is doing even more damage since it just shows the IW that PC gamers just aren't worth it. If these people are meant to be boycotting the game; they're not because they're playing it, pirated or not. Not to mention, it sends a message that they still end up playing the game anyway, so there's no reason to listen to their complaints.
I therefore conclude that people who 'boycott' a game by pirating it are pillocks.
Well, a fix came out for Batman 2 days after the anti-piracy measure was discovered.Slash Dementia said:I'd love to play a game with pirates.Kollega said:You say pirates play MW2 on Steam? Heh, i can imagine the voicechat.

In seriousness, i'm not even going to pirate it. Maybe borrow for singleplayer, tops.
My brother's friend said that he knows a guy who sells bootleg Xbox 360 games for $5, but I'm not going to risk getting banned on Xbox Live...
Pirates are everywhere and they'll always find a way to get what they want.
[small]Unless it's that Batman: Arkham Asylum where the player's cape stops working and they fall to their deaths.[/small]
True! I mean, Dreamfall sold exceedingly well for a game with no advertising, and hardly anyone pirated it. However, pirates tend to gravitate towards flashy, overhyped shooters liek Crysis or MW2. It's a shame, they play those bland, uninspired messes and miss out on the greatest gems.UtopiaV1 said:MW2 sucks, pirates suck, now if you'll excuse me I'll go back to playing Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising, which i don't think ANYBODY cared about enough to pirate it (I'm a huge fan of the original)...
Hey, that's a great new way to stop piracy! Fire your marketing dept, stop giving your game so much hype, no-one will even know its released, then no-one will pirate!
I would genuinely play that.Marowit said:Just think. If we had dedicated servers, we would see a server tonight with a pirate mod...flitlocks, swords, and pirate hookers being dropped from the sky as support...
Just saying:corroded said:Want to know something more interesting, a patch exists to allow LAN play and stop you connecting to IWnet at all.
Only a matter of time before someone opens up console access (as it's got to be in there somewhere, devs love them) and makes the pirated version better than the legit one.
As would I. As, would, I /tear...VanBasten said:I would genuinely play that.Marowit said:Just think. If we had dedicated servers, we would see a server tonight with a pirate mod...flitlocks, swords, and pirate hookers being dropped from the sky as support...
I'm glad you're not.mstickle said:This is just me but if I was a game developer I would abandon the PC altogether.
Actually when we had dedicated servers pirates couldn't play on genuine servers, they kept to themselves and we kept to ourselves. Now everybody plays together. Go figure.mstickle said:They get ia lot of whining, claims that the game will be boycotted, pirates and cheaters that ruin it for everyone that wants to play legitmately.
I think they did it for the worst intentions so they can bring dedicated servers back later on as this "awesome new thing" and then charge their usage with a monthly subscription. But that's just me. And the CFO of Activision that hinted at it.mstickle said:I think they did it with the best intentions and not to ruin the game on the PC.
You know... we have a word for people that think this way...mstickle said:"They want the experience to be good for everyone not just a select few..."
