Do they have an age requirement for travelling alone on trains and such? I'm sixteen so it should be ok.
No, I have been on trains at 15.

Ago, are all the midlands escapist going to meet somewhere? Or what?
I've got a route worked out from Coventry that costs £44. We'll have to find a way to get you here. There is a bus from Leicester, the 48 Stagecoach, which goes from Leicester to Coventry, but you'd have to catch it at about half 6... Worth it for the day out though, right? How long does it take you to get to Leicester? Can you get a lift there?
How are you getting to conventry and when?
I live a half an hour bus ride away, not too far. It's the closest big station to me, and would be cheaper than Leicester station.

Nope, you'll be fine. We've sort of decided on Kings Cross station as the train destination.

I was going to wait and see how many people are flying in from Scotland/Ireland. It might be better if we meet up near one of the airports.

Edit - weekends are off-peak anyway.

King's Cross is probably the ideal station, to be honest. It's easy to get to via underground and overground trains, and a lot of the cross-country trains go there as well.
I'll be coming down from Scotland but haven't decided by what means yet. Megabus looks like a possibility. In any event, I reckon Kings Cross is the best meet-up location, since you can reach it by underground straight from Heathrow Airport and I imagine fairly quickly from bus stations as well.

Someone should be standing around with a sign with a big e on it as well, for the sake of simplicity make it at platform nine and three quarters so everyone will remember where to head.
Most of us are coming to Kings Cross, and I'm sure phone numbers can be exchanged before hand to make meeting easier :p

I'll be coming down from Scotland (Perth, but if there's an organised group transit I can meet people in Edinburgh or Glasgow) but haven't decided by what means yet. Megabus looks like a possibility. In any event, I reckon Kings Cross is the best meet-up location, since you can reach it by underground straight from Heathrow Airport via the Picadilly line and I imagine fairly quickly from bus stations as well.

I'm happy to meet in Edinburgh or Glasgow, either/or. TBH flyings probably cheapest if we Ryanair, or Easyjet or something

Yeah, a bus would take much too long, flying would be the best option, and if it's to Heathrow, tubes run to Kings Cross where most of us will be.

How long do you reckon it would take for all that travelling?

Go on a train website and try and find out what time you'd arrive at Kings Cross. I'll do the same. I'm looking to arrive about noon-1pm.
I'd be able to get there for either 12.10 or 12.40; it depends on what time we decide on.

I intend to come wearing my Jamaican hat. If nothing else, I'll be easily recognisable.

Okay. But it seems Kings Cross is ideal, because a tube goes there from the Airports too, and nearly all trains.

Shall we make it official?

I don't know what the deal with hats is, but I'll bring my beanie. It is not ultra, but I love it dearly.
Hats have Int and Cha bonuses. Other features depend on the type of hat. Berets are a +4 Pancake hat, with extra Pretentiousness.

Let's make it 12:10, I'll be arriving about that time too.

My Jamaican hat has +5 Cha, but also prevents you from being able to use Stealth.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but there are no flights from Glasgow and Edinbugh to Heathrow, we can go to Luton, Stansted and Gatwick, the only flights to Heathrow are BA or BMI, which are way more expensive.
