Please help me write an ending to this story

Hmm, you could do that not all get possessed by the Ouija board; just one. Turns out that is a spirit of someone who got killed by one of the people doing the whole Ouija board thing. Then just add a little blood 'n gore, "getting rid of witnesses", and you have yourself a nice little story where the killer actually gets away with it, mwuhahahahaha! >:B

One of the kids get possessd and then the other two begrudgingly have to kill him in some epic struggle and then cremate the body to stop any more demons floating into it and out into the world.

One of the possessed tries to kill child number 2 but then child number 3 comes to their senses, steps between the two and is subsequently murdered. The blood pouring from child number 2 brings child number 1 to his or her senses. Child number 1 and 2 were rivals for the love of child number 3 and so they both break down and cry at the sight of their dead friend but child number 1 is especially sad because it is now apparent that child number three did not love them but loved child number two the most

Well then to throw out ideas...

Maybe the board could represent something to the protagonist on a more deeper level than you are first led to believe, Supernatural board, maybe something spiritual.

How can the protagonist tell the real world from the 'dream' or the possession from demons, maybe neither is the real world for example maybe the protagonist in reality is comatose and this is actually his psyche and way of recovering/waking up, In this case the Demons could also represent parts of himself or sins (Drinking? Adultery ect. that are causing pain) + If he/she is dreaming, trapped inside their own mind oppotunity to do freaky stuff.

Maybe if the demons are doing something to the people they posses the corruption should be visible and slow? If it happens fast it could startle but I think you might be able to make something more of it if whatever happens is slow to take on and could lead to a sense of desperation.

I know the protagonist is meant to always win but what if he doesn't?...

One character pushing to do the board has been possessed all along for some big unexplained plan. Movie ends where they all walk out the house into the street. Could set the street up to look all horror like with after effects.

Fist off, it kinda sounds like you didn't have a say in the idea and they forced you to do the ending, this is probably why your havins such difficulty. You generally can't do something well unless you enjoy doing it.

Back to the question at hand,

There are 3 kids, this fits nicely with the aspects of Id Ego and Superego.

Id is the aspect of your animalistic desires, it's what makes you want to eat, have sex, and beat up other people who want to take your stuff. supercharge that and one demon could be a totaly animal, who kills one of the other kids.

Superego is the aspect that balances out your Id with morality. if this kid is possessed by a superego the he could become parranoid about everything around him being a threat, he could see hallucinations and just generally prang to everything.

Ego is the aspect that holds these two together in a comfortable balance. The Ego could be like the leader of the demons, wanting to restore order to the people around him by silencing anyone who has sinned, which i might add is about 99% of everyone.


The plot could work by the ego wanting to control humanity, but the superego starts to get paranoid and believes the ego wants to destroy him, the Id then goes ahead and kills the kid possessed by the ego causing the Id and superego to cycle out of control. This then leads to a psychotic conflict between the two causing the Id to kill the Superego.

The story would work kind of like the progression of one person into psychosis, shown through the story of 3 possessed teens.




as far as the movie goes, you don't really need any props, jsut have to use your imagination to make the 3 actors/actresses to look like the Id Ego and Superego.

But seriously, this is not enough to go on at all. Three kids possessed by a Ouija board is a premise, not a story. Who are these kids? What are they like? Who are the minor characters? Why were they using a Ouija board? What is the setting and time period? What are the effects of the possession? How does the possession affect their relationship with the minor characters?

And to the plot itself. To make a good story, you're going to need to thicken the plot and up the stakes. Make things worse before they get better. You should look up basic story structure and work from there.

Only make one of them possessed and the possession is passed by physical contact between the 3 main characters. the goal of the characters is to figure out the 'tell' so they know who is currently possessed and then figure out a way to trap it back inside the board.

They start doing all this detructive crazy sh** but they're not actually possessed, they just think they are (but don't actually say this, just leave the question lingering).

The demons go around the internet trolling people for the rest of their lives.

They use their demon powers and fly around the sky playing "Friday"

They travel around and punch people when they're about to eat.

They cook people up and eat them.

They go to public bathrooms and smear feces everywhere.

Take over the world using their demon powers.

Stop the second coming of Christ.

Destroy all the bacon.

Go about their life as regular people. Trying to redeem themselves (they are demons) hoping to get a chance to go to heaven.

Just some ideas not sure if they help or not, and most of them arent really serious.

How about the demons use their newly acquired bodies to lure people into their house and have them possessed too. Final shot is either zombie apocalypse or fake blood everywhere and only clothes in a room as someone (a house-mate or law enforcement) enter the room.
