I only care about gender when something tells me it's wrong otherwise. Female Machamp never feels right.

I don't have a preference towards either sex but oddly enough all the Pokemon in my party are female except 1 that my sister traded me. I believe her's is the complete opposite which is odd.

XD (disclaimer: i am in no way prejudice)

Is there even sexes in Pokemon? Do they reproduce, lol?
yes they do! some poke trainers (such as myself) set up complex breeding programs to produce pokemon with unique moves and stats

Never really cared about the gender of my Pokemon.
Except once, when I tried to assemble a team entirely of the same gender, didn't last for long.

I usually tried to get male pokemon wherever I could because I'm under the impression that males get a higher attack stat (and that females get a higher defence) and my main stratagy is usually hurl the biggest attacks I can at the other guy (so attack is pretty important).

For my party, usually 3 and 3. But I'm a bit of a nut when it comes to my party. I catch a male and female version of each, teach the male any TM's/ get it to learn the moves I want and then wait for about 20 eggs from daycare. I hatch each of them, pick the ones with the correct natures, breed again, then pick the one with the best stats.

I don't even play Pokemon competitively against anyone, I just like the process of designing the Pokemon down to what stats it has.

i don't really care about the gender, as long as i have some of both.
i only check it when i have 2 or more pokemon of the same species, then i check who has the best stats.

Yes. Why?

Picture a female Machamp or Mr. Mime. And yes, a female Mr. Mime is possible.

I only care about the gender on certain pokemon. If it is a Furret, Glaceon or Misdreavus, I would a want a female, but if it was like a Garyados, Wobbafett or Machoke, I would want it to be a male. It depends on their appearance.

I've only really got a preference on certain Pokemon. I only get the male version of the Machop/Machoke/Machamp family, as well as the male version of Wobbuffet. Can't think of any Pokemon I only get the female version of, but I'm sure they exist.

Nowadays I am impartial, but I remember when I was younger if my starter was female I would always restart, I preferred a male starter for some reason...
