Pokemon B&W Female Trainer

I finally picked up pokemon white a couple days ago, and I waited until today to start playing. So I started up, picked up Victini, and then went to start my game. And I was going to play a female character as I always do (being that I'm of the female persuasion) but apparently my choices were between a well dressed young man and a woman that looked as though she just stumbled out of a trailer park. I am not joking when I say that the female trainer for Pokemon exhibits only the qualities of female character design that I utterly hate. I was, honestly, disgusted! Why is the female version of that jacketed fellow with a map bag a girl with pornographically tiny shorts, pockets showing past the cut off legs and monolithic hair?

Am I the only person (or only woman for that matter) that was horrified by this? And I'm seriously not a prude, I just don't want my choices for avatar in my monster catching game to be a young man or a prostitute. I don't think that's unreasonable.

Honestly though the main character design in Pokemon has been going down hill for years.

I was going to make a comment about how the shorts weren't that bad but upon checking google to refresh my memory of the design...well, let's just say I don't feel I can make that comment now...

that's pretty tame... go complain about a game that is truly offensive... like dead or alive, or god of war, or even duke nukem, any of those would be slightly more acceptable. I just saw the character design, short shorts, big hair, a vest, and a hat a whore does not make. maybe if she had double D's, almost no clothing, and you could see her panties then it would be worth complaining.

Frankly I prefer the Platinum trainers.

They are supoused to be closer to 16 so the lack of clothes isn't as shocking.

But the design itself reminds me of a saying regaurding Females wearing hardly anything and Men whearing long and sometimes heavy clothes. "One of them is eather very hot or very cold"
While I wish that they would have went with something to be more consistant with the male player character It doesn't ruin the game for me.

I just googled it for the first time. I don't think its all that bad. I mean, the pockets seem a little silly to me, but I guess I don't really mind the character design.

Pokemon's Portagonists have been goin' downhill ever since the start.
In the first game, we had a personality-less non-communicative unlikeable spod.
In the next version, we had another dumb spod.
It wasn't untill Emerdald until things really started to hit the mud-pool at the bottom of the hill, when our Portagonist wears a Green bandana and a riduculas Jumpsuit and the Female portagonist has her Tits wide open.

Now, we have 2 more spods. One of them dress awfully, and still has little to no personality, and now the other one dresses worse, has no personality. At least the original trainer at least dressed decent.

Hmm... I was going to ask what the problem was, but then I looked up the actual character designs...

And... Yeah. That's not what I would want to play as either.

The hair I like... Sort of. But the rest of it? Wow, what were they thinking?

I actually thought that the male trainer looked too bland and I went with the female. I'm happy I did, I love the ponytail animations when you run.
