Here's the thing: people keep complaining that the new gen Pokemons are retarded in their designs, completely forgetting the existence of Lickitung, Wheezing, Jinx, Tangela, Machamp, etc.

Similarly, this PC is slutty?

Has everyone forgotten about Misty/Kasumi?

The artist says this is 20 year old Misty, so this doesn't count as jailbait... right?

So many prudes in this thread. I see girls on a daily basis walking around with shorts like that, they are in no way un-socially acceptable. If you think anything is sexual about it, YOU are the one sexualizing them.

News flash! Guys always wear more clothing than females do. Walk outside, and it is what you will see as long as it is not winter. Sheesh.

I was going to make a comment about how the shorts weren't that bad but upon checking google to refresh my memory of the design...well, let's just say I don't feel I can make that comment now...

It is pretty ridiculous looking.

I thought the characters were supposed to be in their teenage years in this game.
theyre actually ten years old. in the pokemon universe, you can begin your journey as a pokemon trainer after your tenth birthday.

We're "nerds" and us of all people are talking about the fashion sense of pokemon?
Do you really care what you're wearing and that it's fashionable? I will bet that most of you guys will say "no".
BUT FOR CRYING OUTLOUD! I mean! What should she be wearing? Gucci? Dolce&gabbana?
._. Escapists, you've baffled me.

I remember that every single girl back in high school dressed like that, and I wasn't attracted to any of them.

Yeah. White is my least liked female player design in the game. I thought the same thing too when I saw her. The girl looks like she could drive a truck.
Male player is alright though. I actually like him. Clothes are a respectable and nice style. Plain, but good.

Gen three still has my favorite protagonists though. I like the male and female character equally. Other generations, I always stick with one.

RGB: Boy (I like Green better than Leaf but they got rid of her)
GSC: Boy (I like Kris better than Lyra, but they got rid of her too)
DPPt: Girl

They're 15 or so in B&W. They're teenagers at least. I don't think their age as been officially confirmed yet.

I picked the girl randomly when starting my game and I did think she looked a little less-dressed than they have before. Then again during normal play I don't really concentrate on the character moving on the screen but the area around instead, and I've noticed myself thinking "here comes her arse...again" whenever I get into a battle.

The fuck's up with her hair, I mean what the hell? And are the white things hanging off her pants her pockets? She doesn't just normally look like that, she had to go out of her way to look that trashy.

Still, god awful trainer design is a staple of the series. I haven't liked the trainers since Ruby/Sapphire.

That was the case for every generation before Black/White, but in this one they are teenagers. Different country, different rules, eh?

I think that White's design is alright. Her hair is a little outlandish, but look at Dawn from Diamond/Pearl, who is only TEN years old and has more skin showing. It's hot and all, but still, Dawn's design is far more worthy of complaint than White's.

As the residential overly proud New Yorker, I can honestly tell you that NO ONE dresses like that in New York.
Why are you telling me? Black & White are what Japan thinks of America.

Skimpy teenagers, Organizational zealots, waste so horrible it can come alive, blah blah blah.

Am I the only person (or only woman for that matter) that was horrified by this? And I'm seriously not a prude, I just don't want my choices for avatar in my monster catching game to be a young man or a prostitute. I don't think that's unreasonable.
Am I the only person (or only man for that matter) who thinks that "horrified" might be a tick too strong as a reaction to the Black/White female's character design? Or who felt it a bit telling that you insist you aren't a prude then label the aforementioned character a prostitute for wearing cut jean-shorts and not having sleeves. If she was wearing a conspicuous amount of makeup and fishnet stockings then I'd believe you, however as it stands she's just dressed a bit lightly for being a nomadic poacher.

Technically Hilda has more because the shorts and skirt are the same length, but yes, extremely skimpy for a ten year old girl.
Another oddity is that Leaf, May and Kris have breasts that are as or even more developed than Hilda's.

Their are no berets (on male or female) making this among the best of the trainers. Anyway, I like both designs, simple and fairly believeable.
