i took a stab in the dark that the next Pokemon games were gonna be called Ebony & Ivory. guess i was sort of right...

Give it a few years, EbonyBlack and IvoryWhite will come out on the Nintendo Neuroboy implant.

I hope they make gameplay changes this time, like slightly different combat or something.

By the end of HG/SS i just started finding it really old and boring. It's just seems like the most uneventful turn based system ever.

Clever bastards, luring me back with SoulSilver and then announcing Black and White.

A Light type would be interesting although I'm having a little trouble coming up with its effective and resist lists. Strong against Dark is obvious and maybe Ghost as well but nothing else really jumps out.

I'm surprised it isn't coming out for at least the DSi and incorporating its functions in some way. I guess we'll have to wait for Generation VI for Pokemon on the next handheld iteration.

Perhaps they will finally update the damn sounds the pokemon make. The DS can do it and I'm somewhat bewildered as to why they still have the horrible Gameboy Brick era sounds.

Did Mass Effect 2 hurt Dragon Age: Origins' sales? Did L4D2 hurt L4D's sales, despite the boycotters? Did Explorers of Time, Darkness and Sky hurt Platinum's sales?

No, no and no.

And if you play Pokemon already, it's sort of the thing to get the next one anyway. Once you're a fan, you're a fan 4 LIEF.

Mass effect is not similar to Dragon Age at all, the same goes for Explorers of Time, Darkness,Sky, and Platinum. and finaly L4D2 was not announced a week after L4D.

I've been sucked into Soul Silver, coming up on the 25 hour mark now.

Last one i played was Blue and it's kind of disappointing that all the pokemon are spread across so many games (though to be honest, there are so many that it doesn't really matter unless there's 1 you really really like, or you just HAVE to catch them all).

If there's a significant innovation with White/Black then i'll think about it.

Five bucks says they're introducing a Light-type.

I'm pretty certain they won't introduce a new type, they only added Dark and Steel to counter Psychic's woefully unbalanced power. (Something immune to & super effective against it and something resistant to it, adding more bug moves with higher power didn't hurt either).

Ahh I remember how broken Psychic types were in the first generation. Good times.

I also remember the Missingno glitch and everyone using the rare candy glitch to have level 100 battles.

I wonder what they mean by "reborn inovativly"...

I'm sort of excited, but also afraid about it. They made a story about the whole becoming of the world of pokemon, introducing God, so what now? Black and white implies evil and good.

If that's what they do, AND introduce a new type, then yes, that's rebirth!

By 'reborn innovatively' they probably mean introduce a new type, but being similar to an existing type, kinda like what ground is to rock and an overhaul graphics-wise but still have the crappy SNES-style sound effects(I like pokémon but when you have headphones in some of the sounds make your ears hurt)and even if it comes out vaguely at the time of the 3DS in Japan I can expect something like White version on DS and Black version as a launch title for the 3DS(like pokémon mystery dungeon red being on GBA and mystery dungeon blue on DS)
