Isn't the Psychic type actually already called the Light type in Japan?

I hadn't though of a Light-type before. Anyway, this looks pretty interesting. Every time a new Pokemon generation has come out I've gotten more and more enticed by the idea of revisiting my childhood and trying to catch'em all. Maybe this version is it.

I'm so excited right now!

I dunno, but it would make sense, as death is represented by wearing white (i.e. light) over there, as opposed to black nearly everywhere else. Maybe because of the whole psychic's can speak with the dead deal.

It'd also fit since the 'black' or 'dark' type pokemon....

.../blink...

Ok, I've thought about the spiritual ramifications of pokemans on the internet gaming forum enough for today. Time for some air and maybe a book.

Cheers.

the change I would like them to make is if they could make it so that the other trainers could react to your Pokemon. I mean you are walking around with a Mew behind you and no one cares. would be nice if they reacted. That trainer with the level 5 Caterpie will run away and not try to battle you when you show up with your level 100 Rayquaza.

It would be nice to see innovation. But the formula works well. I want to see one uber game that combines every land mass and includes every single game. I still haven't caught them all in any version, haven't even played diamond/pearl. It would be nice to be provided with a definitive way of catching them all.
But if Nintendo made a "definitive" version, how could they continue to milk us consumers with more releases of the same game!? lol

However, being able to go back to Kanto was one of the many things I truly loved about Gold/Silver/Crystal. If they did that now, Nintendo better give me the option to pick where I begin, and then increase the levels of the other regions accordingly; sort of like they did in GSC. Tweak the trainers/wild pokemon/gym leaders to scale with your continued advancement, and you could easily bring a team to level 100 without grinding the same old Elite Four for hours. Hell, in the "definitive" version there would be four Elite Fours, and 32 gym leaders! How cool is that!?

As long as they fix the current imbalance of bug pokemon, (namely there are a stupid number of them, yet only 2 or 3 are actually capable of fighting! XD), then I'm game.

Maybe that's Nintendo trying to make up for how the game was invented... y'know, what with making bugs fight to the death and all.

I agree, strangely, I think its because there's so many different combinations of pokemon with geat variety in strength and coolness, so in the end there's like 24,000hyperbillilon ways to go about the game.

Though I am a bit fed up of the marketing ploy of: releasing the exact same game twice give or take a few pokemon that you have to get from the other game, so you either have to buy it yourself or get your friends to trade with you. And I will punch a dolphin in it's fishy face before I trade my Seviper for some stupid Seedot.

And yes I know dolphins are mammals smartarse.

I doubt there will be a light type.
Mainly since electric type already fills that space. Flash would be the most obvious "light type" move that currently exists, but it fits equally well in the electric type.

I think I got the last pokemon game I wanted, Soul Silver is quite good, and quite not crap. By that I mean go from Red to whatever the last one that came out was and look at the three starter pokemon. Nuff said. :|

Oh, at first I thought that it meant that they were doing away with colour entirely, which didn't seem to make much sense, but I understand now.

Does anyone think Nintendo will keep going to gen 6? I, for one, feel that this will probably be overdoing things (although, I also feel that gen 3 was overdoing things somewhat), but I sense that Nintendo may wish to continue cashing in on a franchise that has proved so successful.

It's why I love G/S/C the most. But that's what I was thinking. And the scaling would be good, it was quite broken in G/S/C. But, as you said, we're dreaming. Although, Nintendo could still release new versions, I just want all the ones so far in one game. You hear that Nintendo? Do something for us fans, then you can go back to ripping us off.

Why ooh Why are people complaining about this? if Nintendo came out and said "we are not releasing any Pokemon games forever" every one age between 5 and 30 would drop down dead in matter of seconds.

Don't hate it when it hasn't even been released yet ='( plus i don't think they are milking the series, their fans keep asking for more, why should Nintendo stop?

And on that topic, I wonder how many poor suckers will get Pokemon Black & White confused with the (ROM hack) Pokemon Chaos Black, and buy the ROM hack.
