Kannonball was knocked backwards, skimmed across the ground like a flat stone across water at the force of the speedy attack, landing on his belly. He slowly pushed himself up again, which was difficult, since his arms were so tiny. Nevertheless, he got up again and resumed his defiant posture. He gave a loud cry, and began to stare into the Yanma's eyes, which was difficult, as it was darting left to right repeatedly. ''Peck, kannonball! Peck him between the eyes!'' Kannonball gave a charge, but Yanma avoided the attack. ''Again!'' Yanma dodged. ''Again!'' This time Kannonball's horn glowed white, and he lowered his head quickly, he ran like a comet, the white light consuming his whole body, making him look like a large, white arrowtip. The light quickly dimmed, however, and kannonball hesitated and waved his arms up towards his horn, dissapointedly. Nevertheless, he charged again, with peck. The yanma, it's sensitive eyes blinded by the harsh light earlier, was hit and knocked over onto the ground. It's legs twitched in the air similar to the Joltik from earlier, and it gave a pitiful ''Yaaaaaaaaaan...''.
Woolie gave a broad grin, and began to throw a poke-ball in the most elaborate way possible! he leant back on one foot, taking a ball from his belt, he held it high in the air for a second, then leant forward rapidly, throwing the poke-ball at the yanma, needing to regain his balance, he again stood up straight, in anticipation. The ball shook side to side for a few seconds, a red light flashing off and on on the button. It clicked shut.
Kannonball picked up the poke-ball proudly and held it into the air, as if to attempt to regain his stature after the failure earlier. Woolie gave a short laugh then ran over, threw himself onto his knees and collected it from him. ''Thanks, Kannonball! You were brilliant! Was that a megahorn attempt, earlier? Don't worry, we'll master that. In our own time.'' he said the last part sternly, as he knew attempting to use megahorn while so weak was a risky move. Woolie gave Kannonball some of the fresh water he had bought on the boat earlier. ''We'll leave the rest for Yanma, will we? I'll need to think of a name for him, though.'' he returned Kannonball to his poke-ball, and said: ''Shall we move on? Lets find more bugs!'' He put his hands into his pockets and began muttering various names to himself for his newly aquired Yanma.
