"Yeah, I can go for a battle. I'll use Xero, see how well they do."
"Exegg, exegg. Cuuuuute." Battle? OK, we're not that good......"
"I'm sure you will do just fine." Jared assured his newest capture. "Ready when you are Magnus."
Magnus, if you want to do the battle, that'll be fine by me, it's 4:15AM here, so I don't have the energy. I'll just say, I always use Leech Seed off the bat.
Rodney said to the rest of the people at the safe house "Hey guys, I'm going to go see if they will let me have access to the computer and come back in". Magnus said as he was leaving "Don't bother, Our times nearly up just wait to we get there too."
Rodney thought as we walked back through the safari zone following the signs as best he could Ok I suppose I should bring out Chompers first just incase theses two try to kill me again...
Magnus and Jared stood across from each other outside. Each called forth their newest Pokemon and then started the battle.
"Xero, use Leech Seed!" A single seed flew out of one of the cracks in the head of one of the Exeggcutes and landed on Ryu. It took root and wrapped itself around Ryu.
"Ryu, use Thunder Wave!" Ryu sent out a field of electricity, paralyzing the group of egg-like Pokemon. "Now, use Dragon Rage!"
A blast of blue/purple flames roared from Ryu's mouth and struck Xero.
"Xero, use Barrage!" A few of the Exeggcute that could move jumped forward and hit Ryu with their bodies. "Now, use Stun Spore!"
A cloud of spores flew towards Ryu and stunned him.
"Ryu, use Dragonbreath!" Ryu tried, but was too paralyzed to move.
"Xero, use Bullet Seed!" A flurry of glowing seeds flew at Ryu and hit him. Ryu tried to move, but was still paralyzed.
"Xero, use Barrage again!" Four of the eggs jumped and flew towards Ryu. Ryu's skin glowed yellow and then he was able to move.
"Now Ryu, Dragon Rage!" Ryu shot the purple flames at the Exeggcute, hitting it. However, Xero was still able to battle. The Barrage landed on Ryu and caused damage to him.
The Leech Seed... Shed Skin didn't get rid of it.
"Ryu, let's finish this! Use Dragonbreath!"
"Xero, use Bullet Seed!" The seeds struck Ryu as he was sliding towards Xero. Ryu elegantly slid towards Xero and blasted a large blast of purple flame at the Pokemon. The Leech Seed took the last bit of energy Ryu had right before the flames struck Xero.
As the smoke cleared, both Pokemon lay on the ground, unconscious.
"Ryu, return. Good battle Jared. You've got a good Pokemon there." Magnus thanked Jared for the battle.
"Thanks Magnus, Ryu's pretty strong too." The two shook hands and walked back inside the Safehouse.
"Attention Trainers... The hour is up, time for all of you to leave. We need to send in the next group." The clerk's voice rang over the PA. "Once more, the hour is up. It's time for all of you to make your way to the front gate and leave. Thank you."
"Looks like that's us guys. Let's get to the Pokemon Center." Magnus said. "I wonder where Jeffrey and Ashley went."
If you still need or want to catch a Pokemon, you can. Just make it happen right before the announcement.

Rodney already had Knight and Slicer out and was feeding them when he saw his friends arrive.
"So how was it everyone? What did ya' get? I got these two here, Knight's the Dratini and Slicer's the Scyther. Apparently he's calm when he can't fight but kicks up a royal stink when there's fighting to be done..."

jeffery waited for ashley to say something for what seemed like an eternity. man I just had to go and say that I knew it was too soon,well what can I do shit this is bad jeffery thought he then heard the announcement to leave thank god what excellent timing jeffery thought "so Ashley looks like time is almost up best get back to the pokemon center and wait for the others eh" jeffery nervously said before walking off back to the pokemon center leaving ashley by herself he was half way there when he saw a bright flash of light coming from a nearby bush being curious jeffery walked over and took a look he saw an Abra lying there asleep. "hm random" was all jeffery could say as he looked at the sleeping pokemon."I wonder if he belongs to someone" jeffery thought out loud he grabbed one of the safari balls and tapped it over the Abra's head and miraculously the Abra was absorbed into the ball which started twitching jeffery held it up to his eye as if he was trying to use some telekinetic power on it, which he did`nt have after about a minute the twitching stopped but the ball burst open and the Abra looked panicked started to run away but due to it`s short legs did`nt get far until jeffery lobbed a rock at the back of it`s head sending it back to the ground jeffery walked over to it.
"really sorry about that I really am but I`l take care of you" jeffery tapped the safari ball over the Abra's head absorbing it inside the ball started twitching but with lower frequency after about a minute which almost seemed like an eternity the twitching stopped and the Abra was captured. "well now you don`t find these things in the safari zone,can believe my luck" jeffery said to himself as he tucked the safari ball in his belt and continued on to the pokemon center.
I'm truly sorry but I can't bring myself to post in Pokemon. Its the only RP I'm in I'm having that problem with. As a wise man once told me, the point of RPing is to have fun, and currently Pokemon feels like a chore.
I know nothing of the universe or half the shit going on. Even before now I didn't know what the badge shit was. I really am sorry about this and hope there is no hard feelings.
Evenrually Jeffrey walked over holding an Abra above his head like some kind of trophy. Suddenly Rodney got a text, getting his phone out he asked "Did anybody send me a text while we were in there?" everyone said no.
It read- "Come over to the corner of the right fence by the big tree" Rodney said to the group "Well, looks like the Rockets have to ask kindly for us to fall in to their traps nowadays, let's go see what they want."
They walked for quite a while, until they saw what looked like a large quickly-made, stage curtain, with a wicked "Ta Dah!!" The curtain opened revealing -As much as Rodney tried not to believe it-...
Ashley, hanging from the tree branch by her neck, with multiple cuts and stabs on her, at her feet below her lay Leaky, no less dead then her trainer. "Oh she fought back, so we had to teach her to be good" a still invisible voice said. Rodney threw up a little in his mouth, hands numb he fumbled for Chompers' pokeball ecause he could see Jeffrey and Joel about to charge in there, Magnus had turned the crying Aari away and Jared was frozen, mouth agape.
Rodney and Chompers blocked Jeffrey and Joel, "More then anything that's what they want!" Rodney said tears forming at his eyes, Jeffrey who Rodney was standing infront of screamed "I DON'T CARE,I'LL KILL THE FUCKS!" and began flailing his fists, smacking Rodney about a fair bit. Joel however simply fell on the ground and stopped moving.
Rodney sat down and said to himself It's our fault...
"I`M GONNA KILL EM" jeffery roared pulling his knife out of his pocket he shoved Rodney out of the way and charged towards the tree where ashley hang he looked back and forth waiting for a rocket to show himself.
"SHOW YOURSELF YOU BASTARDS" jeffery screamed but without warning a rocket charged up behind him with what looked to be a thick branch he smacked the branch over Jeffery's head knocking him down to the ground the rocket picked him up by the collar and punched him in the face and threw him backwards causing jeffery to stagger back into a tree he pushed himself forward and swung his knife at the rocket giving him a cut along his face he went for another swing but the rocket ducked under it and hit him with an uppercut knocking jeffery onto the ground the rocket again picked jeffery up and leaned in close to him.
"listen you little shit give up you can`t beat us there`s no chance" the rocket said to Jeffery's face before he picked jeffery up and threw him against a tree the grunt advanced on him and kicked him once in the gut but before he could ready another lucario lept out of no where and scraped one of the spikes on his elbow across the grunts eyes blinding him and knocking him onto the tree ashley hung from lucario turned and picked jeffery up and balanced him against a tree.
"you alright" lucario asked but before he got an answer jeffery lept at the grunt and started laying into him.
"YOU.. FUCKING...BASTARD...HOW...COULD...YOU" jeffery yelled in between punches to the grunts face he thumbed around for his knife and raised it above his head ready for the killing blow but lucario grabbed his arm and held him back.
"we need him alive to interrogate,then you can kill him" lucario reasoned with him holding him back using all his strength as jeffery struggled to charge at the grunt and kill him but he knew that lucario was right and he eventually stopped but as soon as lucario let go jeffery fell to the ground on his knees and started sobbing. "I could have prevented this, I should`nt have left her alone, It`s all my fault I don`t deserve to have friends they all die or leave" jeffery sobbed as started punching the dirt.
After the rocket was tied up Brandon just stared at Ashley. Sure he didn't now her that well but it seemed Jeffry had really cared about her. Before he knew what was happening he was puking every thing he had eaten at the safe house, he just hated this kinda thing,sure he had been at Celedon when the rocket invaded but this was just... inhuman. He called out Jack and jack looked at The body and he too almost lost his lunch. "Cut her down Jack we can't leave her there." Jack cut down Ashley from the tree and Brandon caught her and set her gently on the ground. He then called out Lilly. he knew it was useless but he had her use wish to heal her wounds so she didn't have that tutored look any more.
TYF, the Rocket would not show himself when there is a group of people... if it was even a Rocket. You should have let Stormcaller advance the plot at this point, seeing as I think that he had an idea that he wanted to do. You seem to make the NPC's act very unrealistically. Try to make the characters you write for act like actual people would. Otherwise, don't write for them. Now, watch as I do... EXACT SAME THING!!! MUHAHAHA!

As the lone Rocket Grunt stumbled out of Jeffrey's grip, Magnus pulled out his pistol and shot the murderer in the ankle. The Rocket pulled something out of his hat and popped it into his mouth.
"Stop him!" Magnus said, but it was too late. Magnus grabbed the man's face, but his mouth was already foaming. "Damn it!"
Quillz came out of her pokeball and sniffed the foam. She snorted and coughed, she saw Ashley and Leaky and was awestruck.
"Typhlosion... Typhlo Ty Typhlosion. Ty Ty Typhlosion." Holy fuck... It smells like almonds. Meaning he's dead.
"************ killed himself." Magnus explained to the group. "Potassium Cyanide, he was dead the moment he bit that pill."
"The little fucker killed Ashley, he deserved to die." Jeffrey said coldly.
Yes, but not by his own hand. And now, we've lost any leads we might've gotten from him. Lucario said. Now we have nothing, save for three corpses.
"Typhlosion. Typhlo Typhlosion Typhlosion?" Lucario's right. Now what are we going to do?
Magnus walked over to Aari, who was weeping and turned away from the sight, and held her in his arms. She buried her head in his shoulder, and he rubbed her back. He too began to cry quietly, not caring if the others saw.
"It's okay... it's okay..." Magnus reassured her, not sure if it would work. "She's in a better place now. She's in a peaceful place."
Magnus repeated that, despite his doubt of religion and his skepticism... He repeated it to her. Magnus hugged Aari tighter and muttered to her and to himself.
"I will never let this happen again. I won't let them take you, nor anyone of us. I promise you..." Tears rolled down Magnus's face and he let them fall.
"Typhlo... Typhlosion Typhlosion Typhlosion. Typhlosion... Typhlosion." Rodney... I need Chompers to help me with our allies. We'll make a pyre for them... Give them proper respects.
The smaller Pokemon gathered tinder to start a fire. Slicer, Blade, Scout, and Speedy began cutting down smaller trees to build a raft capable of supporting the weight. As they built the pyre, the humans watched in sadness.
Once they were completed in the construction, Chompers and Quake accompanied Gyarados as they laid the construction in the center of a large pond.
As the humans spoke their last words in respect of Ashley and Leaky, the Pokemon sat quietly. Their trainers and friends cried, but they remained stoic. Magnus nodded for the Pokemon to begin with the final ceremonies.
"Prepare your fires, fellow Pokemon." Quillz said softly. She, Red, Reynard, Charmeleon, and Blaze stood on the land, while Ryu, Knight, and Gyarados were in the water.
"Fire!" As she roared the command, each of the Pokemon released fire-based attacks, with the three Dragons using their own Rage. As the pyre burst into flames, the Pokemon in the water returned to the shore to watch as their fallen friend was sent off honorably. Though they had not known her long, she was kind, and she would be missed.
Jared sat in the back of the Pokemon Center, lost in thought. Jesus, I can't believe what those Rocket bastards did. I can't believe it. Their evilness knows no bounds. I mean, Ashley was so innocent, she had been through so much, and then to just go down like that. That is just.....wrong.
Of course, I barely got to know Ashley. She was pretty much just there. I knew she had it rough, but that was really it. I guess I should have talked to her more.
Jared was snapped out of his dream state by a ringing on his Poketch. He recognized the number instantly.
"Hey.......Not really, but it's kind of a bad time......the Rockets killed Ashley......she was traveling with us, the Rockets got her and hung her up and tortured her......I know, I know......Erika, I could really do without more Rocket news today.......What? Are you sure?...................I see, well this certainly is just piling on the news today, and it was picking up too before all this too.......Well, you'll be happy to know you can finally call me a Grass Pokemon trainer......Yes, really, here, I'll prove it,"
Jared brought out his Safari Ball and released Xero. "Say something to the nice lady," he said.
"Exeggcute, exegg, exegg, Exeggcute," What nice lady? What's that thing? Is it food? Can we have it?
"See," Jared continued. "We can even have a battle when I get back......Well of course I'm coming back, once we get our badges from Janine, we're coming back.....I'll make sure of it, especially with what you just told me, we're going to have to come back. You're absolutely sure of what you saw?......I guess you make a good point......Well, I'll have to tell the others, I dunno what Joel will say, I mean you guys were all close, right?......Yeah.......No, the plan is to come right back, I promise. We won't be that long beating Janine.....Well, I won't be anyway, you know Nicky's gonna clean up there......Fine, totally undermine my confidence!......I know, I know, I'm just being a jerk......OK, I gotta go down and meet the others, there isn't a funeral or anything, we paid our respects last night......Of course I will.....Like I said, we'll definitely do something when I get there......I dunno, roam the store, maybe a movie......Well, I would hope so, going to need some fun with all this stuff going on......Anyways, like I said, gotta go......OK, love ya too.......Late."
Jared slid his Poketch back into its case and got up. He looked over at Xero, "You're seriously still hungry, huh?"
"Exeggcute, Exeggcute, exegg,"Dude, there's six of us. Of course we're hungry.
"Fine, let's go raid Joy's pantry before we meet up with the others." Jared said, slowly making his way down.
Brandon was sitting on the couch with his head in his hands. why does this always happen to me. sure in the online games I play it's not important but damn it why does this luck follow me in life. When ever I join a group who are doing great for them selves they start losing members soon after I join first it was the pokemon in Celedon they were brought back by a freak accident, now Ashley. Awwwww snap out of it Brandon this wasn't your fault and you know it
He thought as he shook his head. After a few seconds he noticed his phone was vibrating. He had forgotten to take it off vibrate this morning.
"Yellow?" he said as he picked up the phone and was answered with a giggle.
"Brandon is that you, I haven't heard from you in so long. I've missed you." the female voice said in a loving tone.
"Rena is that really you. Oh it is great to hear a comforting voice right now." he then related the story since he left Saffron how Lilly evolved ad he had been able to get a Dawnstone for Jack and his catch of Dictus and Rash. He paused at the newest part of the story. "Unfortunately one of our friends was killed earlier today. It also looked like she had suffered." That was met with a gasp from Rena."Oh I'm so sorry. I know that doesn't help but that's all any body can do now."
"Thank you Rena and I know, but still thank you for caring and it was great to hear from you again."
"I'm glade I could help, It's good to know your safe. I love you bye."
"Love you too, bye" Brandon hung up the phone and walked off to bed felling a little better.
jeffery paced back and forth in the lobby stopping only to punch the wall in a blind rage after about two hits he pressed his fist against the wall and leaned there deep in his depression. "I could have stopped it,I could have prevented it but I had to be lazy, I had to be careless it`s all my fault" jeffery muttered as he held his head down his hair making a curtain around his face.
"there was nothing you could have done if you were with her they would have got you too" lucario said putting a hand on his shoulder.
"you don`t know that I could have saved her it should have been me up there not her I had nothing to live for and she did,I had no hope to be a better person but she did I should have been the one hung on that branch not her" jeffery said a mixture of sadness and anger in his voice.
Magnus was lying on one of the beds in the Pokemon Center, crying. He was quiet, but the tears kept coming down his face. He had kept replaying the sight in his head, and now he was thinking of what the group could do next.
What do we do now? Team Rocket's made it personal now... Where do we go from here? We can go and try to take Saffron, but I doubt that'd work. We could turn around and reclaim Lavender Town, but we'll probably lose someone else. It seems the safest course of action is to continue on visiting the cities and getting people sympathetic to the cause. My head hurts... I've been thinking too much.
Aari walked into the room and knocked on the door.
"Hey Magnus..." She said softly. "Are you okay?"
"Oh, hey Aari... I- I'm fine." Magnus lied to her.
"Bullshit. I know you, well enough to know you're lying. If you were fine, you would've called me some affectionate little pet-name in a more cheery tone of voice. Plus, I can see the tear-stains on your face."
Magnus sighed and smiled. He patted the spot next to him for Aari to sit down. She sat down and placed one of her hands on his knee. Magnus wrapped his arm around her shoulder and sighed.
"I... I just feel like all I can do is just sit in here." Magnus started explaining to Aari, shakily. "If the guys were to see me like this... they'd lose heart. I've always been the one to stay calm and keep a level head. But... It builds up, ya know? I just can't hold it in... so I sit in here and cry."
"And that's a bad thing?" Aari asked Magnus. "It's a bad thing to let the others know that you feel the same pain that we're feeling? Magnus, letting the others see you this way would make them feel better about it themselves. Grieving is a natural process... not letting it happen is unhealthy."
"Are you sure? Are you sure that things wi-"
"Things will be fine, Magnus." Aari kissed him passionately on the lips. "Things are going to be different, yes. Things will be difficult, yes. But no matter what happens, we'll pull through. We all have each other, and that's what's helped us pull through this."
"Well... I know that having you has pulled me through these tough times... I love you Aari."
"I love you too, Magnus." Aari laid down next to him on the bed and they held hands.
"...You know, I'd feel even more better if we made out... Just saying." Magnus said half-serious half-jokingly. Aari giggled and kissed Magnus on the cheek. Magnus kissed her back on the lips and then they proceeded to make out lovingly, closing the door to the room.

After the makeout session, Magnus was feeling a fair bit better. If he had realized that girlfriends could make you feel this good before, he would've focused more on them in the past... Oh well. Magnus saw Jeffrey leaning against the wall, his knuckles slightly reddened.
Jeffrey needs to forget his troubles... I know how to help him.
"Jeffrey." Magnus said to his friend. "You and I are going to Pokemon Battle outside. Right now. Let's go. Battle. Now."
