Pokemon RP Slots closed Chapter 11: I'm on a boat!

"Aaaaaah, the Safari Zone. I missed this place," Joel said to the group. "Hey Ashley, how about you come with me, I can show you around," Joel winked at Ashley, then started to laugh at his false brashness, "you know, unless Jeff has dibs on walking with the pretty girl." Joel smiled as he awaited her answer.

"Man it's been awhile since I've been here" Brandon said as he watched several Pokemon run around playing and hunting. He decided that he would try for a water Pokemon.

Throwing a few bits of Pokemon food onto the top of the water with a trail leading up on to the shore, Brandon rested against a rock making sure it wasn't a Ryhorn and waited for something to come up. After a few minutes Brandon looked out at the water and saw a black and white swirl and started to get drowsy.

Blinking quickly to rid himself of the feeling Brandon looked back at where he saw the swirl, instead of the swirl a Poliwhirl had taken its place. It was moving on shore where the small pile of Pokemon food on the ground. Grabbing one of the safari balls out of his bag he slowly approached the Poliwhirl. It turned around and stared at him; he brought out another handful of Pokefood and put it on the ground and backed away. The Poliwhirl started to eat the food with with out a care in the world.

Brandon took his chance and threw the ball. The ball hit the Poliwhirl and it was pulled in. as the ball shook back and fourth Brandon prayed to whatever holy deity watched over the world to let this work. "Yes" Brandon said as the ball stopped moving showing that the Poliwhirl was now his.

jeffery waited at the entrance to the safari zone and looked around to see Joel talking with ashley about something he decided to get up and go over to them becoming more nervous the closer he got.
"hey guys how`s it going" jeffery said waving trying to remain as calm as possible around ashley.

"nothing much" Joel replied.

Jared entered the Safari Zone with the others, but soon went off on his own separate way. All right, I'm finally adding a 5th Pokemon today. I can feel it.

He made his way inland, away from the others, into the jungle areas of the zone. He could hear a lot of buzzing, coming from the various bug Pokemon in the area. "All right, let's see what pops out at me first," he said to himself as he made his way through the brush. However, while he was on the look out for Pokemon, he was not looking out for the massive tree root that tripped him up. He fell to the ground faster than Susan Boyle's popularity. His safari balls went flying everywhere in front of him.

"Oww, who the heck put a root there?" he asked no one in particular. He started to pick up his safari balls when he noticed where most of them landed, directly in front of a now fuming Parasect. It started to shake, and Jared soon noticed a cloud of yellow spores starting to fill the area.

"Stun spore! Crap!" he exclaimed as he beat a hasty retreat from the angered mushroom Pokemon, before finally catching his breath beneath a large tree. He looked in his bag to see how many balls he had left. He was not happy with what he saw. "One? One bloody ball? Well that was money well spent! Damn." He turned around and punch the tree in anger, which wasn't the best decision. "Oww! What is it with trees today? Why are they out to get me?" He closed his eyes and slammed his head back before feeling something fall into his lap. Quickly looking down, he saw a single pink egg, slightly cracked, and with a pair of big eyes staring up at him.

"Egg?" it cried, somewhat confused.

"A single Exeggcute?" Jared asked. "Well, I'll take it, I guess." He tapped the lone safari ball against the egg, the red glow enveloping it. Jared looked up and saw more red coming from the branch above him. It all flowed into the ball, jiggling a couple of times before coming to a stop.

"Well, at least I was right, I did catch something today," he noted to himself. "I was just hoping for a heck of a lot more." He slowly made his way back to the safe house the group had arranged to meet in.

Susan Boyle off Hoenn's got Talent?

Rodney hadn't had any luck catching pokemon as of yet, he decided to have a rest by a tree. He picked up a small-ish stone and began throwing it up and down, each time going higher and higher. Until one time the stone didn't come back. Out of the foliage emerged a angry looking Scyther with a bump on its head. "SCY!!!!" It yelled while charging at Rodney.

Rodney barely dodged the attack, shuffling out of the way he thought I can't run, he's too fast and I can't fight, I left my weapons in the Motel and even then I wouldn't kill him, it's my fault. Wait, I have an idea ...

Positioning himself against a large tree he taunted the Scyther, the Scyther charged as expected. Finally at the last moment before he would be diced up, Rodney extended the Safari Ball in his hand and pushed it into the chest of the Scyther. The ball wobbled violently back and forth, before slowing down...

The ball popped open and the Scyther charged even more furiously then before, Rodney just threw whatever he could that wasn't a ball, rocks, pokeblocks anything he could get his hands on. Eventually the Scyther got itself wedged in a tree becaue it wasn't looking where it was flying. Rodney walked over and said "Well you look a bit tied up, here I'll help you." he threw another pokeball which this time only wobbled a bit before the congratulatory ping. The ball then vanished to the storage unit in the computer.

Walking back to the sae house he noticed alot of what appeared to be shed skins, "There aren't any Ekans, Arbok or Seviper here..." he said to himself, before noticing he was beside a large lake. "Of course. Dratini shed too" He bent over to see if there were any in they river, he looked very hard, leaning further and further forward.

Suddenly he was pushed in, something wound itself around his throat. Mouth full of water he attmepted to remove his attacker, eventually he got it free and swam to the surface. Holding it above his head he noticed it was a baby Dratini, smiling he said "Well, you're a brave little thing aren't you?" settling the Dratini back down on the ground he withdrew some pokeblocks from his pocket, he picked out the ones he thought were the best and fed them to the Dratini, who was all too happy to eat.

He packed up his belongings and said "Well I'm not gonna catch you, you're a cute little thing but you're still a baby and I don't want to put your Mother through the stress. Dratini are rare dont'cha know?" he continued walking but eventually felt a slight and gentle nudging on the back of his foot turning around he saw it was the Dratini staring up at him with sparkling eyes "Awww fine, stay still ok?".

He tapped the pokeball on it's forehead, it beamed into the ball with a happy cry of "Dra!" it barely wobbled before the ping was heard and again the ball disappeared. Happy with himself Rodney continued on.

With the safe house in sight he thought to himself Slicer for obvious reasons and Knight for being brave compared to the rest of her species.

Magnus walked back into the Safe House after exploring the Zone for a while. He checked the timer on his watch and saw that they were half-way through their hour. Going through the door, he saw Rodney sitting inside, resting.

"Hey Rodney," Magnus greeted his friend. "You catch anything good?"

"Oh, hey Magnus." Rodney said responded to Magnus. "I caught two new Pokemon. A Scyther that I'm calling Slicer, and a little Dratini I'm gonna call Knight. What about you? Did you catch anything?"

"Yeah, I caught a Rhyhorn and a Dratini." He thought for a moment and sat down next to his friend. "I think I'm going to call the Rhyhorn Tank, and the Dratini..."

Magnus grabbed the Safari Ball off of his belt and let out his new Pokemon. The Dratini slithered up Magnus's leg and moved onto his arm.

"I think I'm going to call you Ryu. Do you like that name?" The Dratini nodded and let out a cry of happiness. "Now, hold still and uncoil."

Magnus ran his hand along the belly of the Dratini, the more than six-feet long Pokemon laughed, it tickled. He stopped about three-quarters of the way down and then patted the Dratini on the head.

"You're a male Dratini. Ryu, say hello to my friend Rodney." Ryu coiled along Magnus's arm and moved onto Rodney's shoulders, draping himself elegantly around the boy's neck. It turned its head and looked at Rodney.

"Dratini!" Hi there! The Dratini unwrapped himself and went back and coiled around Magnus's arm.

"Ryu, return." Magnus beamed back the long blue Dragon-Pokemon into his Safari Ball and then placed it back on his belt. "So Rodney, how well do you think everyone else is doing?"

Joel left Ashley and Jeffrey to get to know each other, and headed off towards one of the rockier parts of the zone. Suddenly, he heard a soft crying noise. He followed the cries to a small bush. As he moved the leaves aside, he saw a baby Kangaskhan which looked really hurt. The poor thing tried to run away, but fell down too hurt to move.

"Don't be scared little guy," Joel said, reaching for the poor thing. Joel picked up the little pokemon and pulled a jar of salve out of his backpack. He rubbed it gently on the small pokemon's wounds. The baby Kangaskhan began to coo in Joel's arms, its wounds clearing up. "Now, let's go find your mom," Joel said, standing up and setting the small baby down. The pair began walking around, both of them calling for Kangaskhan. Suddenly, Joel heard a roar and crashing noise. A Tauros came charging from out of a bush, right for Joel and the small Kangaskhan.

"Noooo," Joel said, grabbing the baby and jumping out of the way. The Tauros ran past the pair, but made the mistake of looking at Joel in mid charge, running straight into a tree. The bull was knocked unconscious from the blow. "Hmmm, not passing this up," Joel said, throwing a pokeball at the pokemon. The Tauros didn't fight as the ball shook back and forth familiarly.

After the ball teleported to his computer, Joel and the baby Kangaskhan continued on their search for the poor things mom.

Aari walked through the marshy floors of the Safari zone. She then began to run until the grass was dry & a large tree overlooked her. She decided that she?d let a Pokémon come to her. She walked up to the large tree & leaned against it, inhaling deeply & smiling.

Aari checked her silver watched and saw that she had fifteen minutes left to catch a Pokémon. Aari sighed as a smallish & pink blob walked over to the river, in front of her. It scooped up a flower & sat down happily, not noticing Aari.

Aari acted quickly & ran at the Chansey. She decided to sit beside & smile at the Chansey. The Chansey smiled at her once & continued to play with the flowers. Aari took out a coin & flipped it. It was heads, acting quickly, she through the safari ball, straight at the Chansey hitting it in the head. The ball absorbed Chansey & teleported to the computer.

Aari took a look at the coin & smirked.

?I?ll call that one.. Chance.? She said.

Well I was going to say falling faster than Lindsay Lohan after 7 martinis, but I figured this one was more current. And anyone who guesses my pop culture reference in regards to Exeggcute's name gets a cookie.

Jared finally made his way into the safehouse and sat down at the table. He took out his Safari ball and let out his newest capture onto the table

"Egg? Exeggcute? Exegg?"Where are we? What's going on? Is there food here?

"A confused lot, aren't ya? Well, don't worry, you're safe here. I gotta think of a name for you all too. Hmmm, I think I'll go with Chester, Rob, Brad, Dave, Joe and Mike, but to save time, I'm just going to call you Xero as a whole."

"Exeggcute. Exeggcute."Some food would be nice right now. You got food?

"Fine I'll get you guys some food from the bar." Jared walked up, picked up some nachos and a dish of pokemon food, and set it down in front of Xero. Chester, the largest egg, went for the food first, and the others soon followed. "Jeez, hadn't you eaten anything while you were out there?" he asked. "Ah well, plenty more where that came from."

When Brandon finally got back to the safe house, he decided to sit down and take a rest. Some how he had ticked of a swarm of scyther and they had proceeded to chase him all over the safari zone.He had finally lost and now he was beat. After lying down on the sofa for a little bit and taking a short nap he looked at his watch and saw they only had a few minutes left. "Well that was a waste of time; stupid scyther consider your species off my 'Coolest Pokemon' list." he said to himself. He then remembered that he had caught something. Letting out his newly obtained Poliwhirl he asked him "Well what to name you?"
Poliwhirl,poli. Dude what do you mean 'name' me; you just took me away from a free meal and now ask me what my name should be, dude just plain not cool
"jeez for a toad you sure are and ass" Brandon said with a smirk on his face
Poli! Oh so now it resorts to name calling huh? Well for a homo sapian you loo like a caveman to me. After a few seconds of glaring at each other both Brandon and Poliwhirl burst out laughing "HAHAHA man that was just bad. That's the best you can come up with and evolution joke."
Poli, like you did better, a cross species joke laaame.
"Ahhhhh, that was fun I think I have the perfect name for you how bout Rash?"

Rodney sighed, he would have to be back at the entrance to show everybody his new catches he tried explaining to Magnus "Well, Slicer's an angry bugger and Knight is one bold little Dratini, damn thing tried to drown me...".

Walking inside the safe house they saw Jared, Rodney asked "Caught anything good?" Jared simply pointed at the Exeggcute to which Rodney replied "Oh..."

jeffery saw the sun set and was anxious to catch something but he did`nt see anything that interested him enough to walk away from ashley.
"so ashley it`s uh pretty peaceful hey and well kinda romantic what with the beautiful forests and the happy pokemon running around kinda puts you at peace with the world hey" jeffery nervously said rubbing the back of his head.

Magnus let out all of his Pokemon and let them meet Ryu.

"A Dragon-Type? Not bad, kid." Quillz said. "Anyway Ryu... Glad to meet you, I'm Quillz. I was Magnus's first Pokemon."

"That's cool, but what about the rest of you?" Ryu responded.

"Well, first there's Scout. Our resident speed-demon and fast-talker."

"Hey Ryu, it's great to meet you. I'm Scout, I'm fast, really fast. Hey, it looks like you're longer than I am. Aww, I'm not Magnus's longest Pokemon anymore. Hey I-" Scout was cut off by Quillz moving on.

"This is Quake, he's pretty quiet. But I'm sure you'll get along fine."

"Good to have you..."

"This is Reynard, he's the Casanova of the group."

"Casa-what?" Ryu asked, confused.

"I'm what some might call promiscuous." Reynard responded.

"Or at least he tries to be..." Quillz continued onto the last introduction. "And this, this is my son Red. He's very strong for his age, he's also a little touchy about his coloration... so don't make fun of it."

"Thanks for the introduction, Mom... Hi Ryu, I think we'll get along famously."

"It's good to meet everybody!" Ryu said cheerfully.

"Looks like Ryu and the rest of my party have gotten acquainted." Magnus said. He checked the timer on his watch, 10 minutes left until their time was up.

"Get ready to go, guys... time's almost up."

"You prove you don't need training, then we won't train. Till then however, training starts when we leave."

"Dratini? Dratini!" Battle? Let's fucking do this!

"Looks like someone's excited..." Aari said as she walked into the safehouse. She walked over to Magnus and they kissed. "Is this your newest Pokemon, Magnus? Aww... he's kind of cute."

"Dratini tini?" Who's this girl?

"Ryu, this is Aari. She's my girlfriend. Aari, meet Ryu, my new Dratini."

"Dratini. Dratini tini?" Hi Aari! Is a girlfriend like a mate?

"Um... yeah. It's sort of like that." Magnus blushed a little bit. "Did you catch anything Aari?"

"Yeah, I caught this..." She held out a Safari Ball and released a Chansey. "Her name is Chance, what do you think Magnus?"

"...You caught a Chansey... Damn, that's downright amazing." Magnus kissed Aari on the cheek. "Congratulations, a Chansey is one of the Rarest Pokemon in existence. Did you know that there's no male Chansey?"

Magnus's nerdy side was showing itself.

"It's not like with Tauros and Miltank, there is no Pokemon that is the male version of a Chansey... Some say that's why they're so rare. They have to mate with other species of Pokemon in order to breed..."

Ryu climbed up Magnus and wrapped himself around Magnus's head, shutting him up.

"Dra Dratini tini?" So are we going to battle or what?

"Right... sorry. So, Jared... you up for a battle?"

Joel looked at his watch, he only had about fifteen minutes left. "Dangit, we need to hurry and find your mom buddy," Joel said to the small Kangaskhan, "they're gonna make me leave soon."

"Kanga, Kanga," no leave, you nice the small pokemon said sadly. Suddenly, they heard a Kangaskhan calling for her baby. The large pokemon crashed through a bush and looked at the two standing in a small clearing. "Kangaskhan, Kangaskhan," There you are dear, now get back in your pouch.

"Kanga, Kanga," Mommy, but I want to go with this guy, he nice, the small pokemon ran to its mom and hugged her.

"Kangaskhan, Kangaskhan," We can only go with him if he catches us the mother said, So it is up to him

"Kanga," you catch us then the baby walked over to Joel and tapped his knee.

"Really? I can catch you two?" Joel asked, pulling out a safari ball, "Here, give me a sec," Joel sent Krabby back to the computer, then tapped the baby Kangaskhan on the head, a red light engulfing both mother and daughter. The light on the ball turned green. "Wow, that kicks ass," Joel said to himself, heading towards the safe house with only fifteen minutes left and two pokemon under his belt, he needed to rest.
