Pokemon RP Slots closed Chapter 11: I'm on a boat!

Jared headed back to his room. He laid back down on his bed and grabbed his Poketch. It was time to check in.

"......Hey, hey!......Well, I'm doing all right, trying not to enjoy the beaches too much....Of course not, hahaha,.....everyone's doing good, got some new traveling partners I guess......yeah, he told us, he doing all right back home?.......well that's good to hear, he said he was cool with us, but it didn't sound like it, but no, yeah, that's good.........Yeah they're all doing good, haven't heard anything out of Nicky yet today. He got back late last night, I dunno what he was doing......I hope so......But yeah, so guess what, it's Magnus's birthday today.......I will, I will.....Yeah me and one of the new guys are gonna take him out to one of the Seafoam clubs.......I'm probably thinking The Beachhouse, I hear it's a relatively tamer club, should be good enough for his first time out......Of course not, I have to be the relatively sober one, although Alan looks like he can handle a few......Of course I'll be thinking of ya.......We'll be coming back soon, I promise, we gotta be able to get the Marsh Badge, and that means we gotta be able to knock some sense into Sabrina........well Rodney actually made it back, he went on a guerilla mission into Saffron, and she managed to get him, but he escaped......yeah, he said it didn't even seem like she was in control....yeah, like something made of pure evil...............exactly, we may be able to bring her back, but it's going to be tough......Well Janine knows, she may be able to help us break in, and Surge can probably lead a charge from the south, try and divert some of their forces, Blaine though, I dunno about Blaine, he seemed kind of weird, I dunno where's he's at..........true, true.......of course.......I know, Erika, I can't wait, but I got the task at hand tonight. I gotta make sure Magnus has no memory of his 18th birthday......I will........Of course pics will be on the way........All right, I'm gonna go grab a quick lunch I think.......yeah they got a buffet, it's awesome........All right........Later, Eri.......Bye."

Jared clipped the Poketch shut and tossed it back onto the counter. "Man, all that talking makes me hungry....and sleepy, I think after lunch I'll head to the beach and pick up a bit more tan for tonight."

jeffery struggled to talk under Alan's grip but could still breathe without too much struggle.
"listen you fucking asshole I aint playing with you-" jeffery was cut off by Alan again driving his knee into Jeff's stomach.

"Jeff, I`m gonna make this real simple for you, stop being such a arrogant prick or I will beat the shit out of you" Alan threatened still holding onto Jeffery's neck.

"I`d love to see you try" jeffery quickly using one of his free hands to punch Alan in the face knocking him off, jeffery scrambled to his feet.

"well, Alan your a violent asshole....I`m guessing your from canalave" jeffery let out a small chuckle as he raised his fists, ready for a fight.

Alan raised himself from the ground, wiping some blood from around his mouth. "Okay. So I might be violent. But unlike some other people from Canalave I can show some courtesy and restraint. You just throw insults and fight everyone like you're invincible!"

"Heh. It's because I fucking am!" Jeffery charged, trying to knock Alan to the ground. He failed, finishing in Alan grabbing Jeffery by the neck once more. Jeffery was shoved into the wall behind him and Alan kept him at arm's length this time. It didn't stop Jeffery trying to escape though, punches and kicks aiming to knock Alan away.

"Are you really this stubborn and attention-starved? Why can't you just act normal in public for once?"

"act normal....I`m sorry but which one of us tackled the other and started choking him, or is that just normal behavior for you" jeffery said angrily still trying to struggle free of Alan's grip He managed to swing his leg up and kick Alan in the shin causing him to stagger back a little releasing his grip.

"I`m getting pretty fucking tired of you" jeffery yelled as he tried to swing a punch aimed directly at Alan's head.

Rodney had finished up his third heaped plate of food and sat back with patting his stomach with a satisfied grin. Those who were left at the table were trying there hardest not to stare "What, I was hungry".

Rodney then clamped his hands over his mouth but still he burped loud enough for everyone in the room to hear. Causing more people to stare. Rodney mumbled "Excuse me" under his breath. Rodney turned to Dani and asked "Up for a pokemon battle? I haven't had a non-gym battle in ages".

"Oh, erm, I... I suppose so yes please! I think my Norbert is looking for a battle, he has been a bit restless lately, when do you want to do it?"

Dani had pushed her small plate of food away, nothing had been touched and the food was uneaten.

Alan grabbed the thrown fist, twisting it behind Jeffery's back and pushing him face-first into the wall. "No. This is my behaviour when I find someone as stuck-up-their-arse as you. You know. Someone who thinks the entire world revolves around them. Someone who can't realise that no-one likes their shit attitude. Someone who throws cups at their Pokemon and shouts at people in the middle of breakfast rooms!"

He hoped that Jeffery was taking all this in. "I've been tired of you since I met you. Which was yesterday night. I've already gotten so angry with you, that I've had to do all this. So try think of how much the rest of your 'friends' hate you. They must have wanted to leave you in pretty much every city they went passed. Either that or they were waiting for that Lucario of yours to finally get around to one of it's death threats."

He let go of Jeffery's fist and stepped back. "So Jeffery. What's it going to be? Are you going to keep up your badass act or are you going to let everyone carry on without you?" Whatever the answer, Alan wouldn't wait for it. Jeffery stayed quiet for a time, perhaps just waiting for the proper time to attack him back. But Alan simply made his way back to the hotel as if nothing had happened.

jeffery simply sat slumped against the wall his face was previously pressed up on he sat there for two minutes thinking about what Alan said to him.

"maybe he was right...but that whole nice guy act is`nt for me, well I guess I could try it, just for one day" jeffery thought to himself as he got up and started looking for lucario eventually finding him resting on a rock.

"hey" jeffery said sitting next to lucario.

"hey ass-face" lucario replied.

"yeah,whatever" jeffery answered back staring out at the ocean.

"wait, what no comeback,no threat,no punching me in the face...this is weird" lucario said looking at jeffery with a quizzical look on his face.

jeffery let out a small sigh before saying "okay cool I`m gonna go back to the hotel" jeffery said getting off the rock he was sitting on and walking back to the hotel.

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

Magnus lay face-down in a massage bed, Aari a couple of yards away in the same position.

"This has been good so far, Aari." Magnus admitted. "Even the nailwork wasn't that bad."

"I told you that you'd enjoy it. It's a good thing they had clear nail polish, otherwise Jeffrey would've called you a fag for the next several days."

"Yeah... Hopefully this massage will help me forget about his antics. Otherwise I just might snap." As Magnus had said this, his masseuse began to work on his back.

"Just make sure that when you do snap... you don't kill him. Even if he is an obnoxious, annoying, violent... Actually, maybe you should kill him. That way we don't have to deal with him anymore."

"Nah... I couldn't do that. If he pisses us off enough, all we have to do is tie him up and leave him on the beach. He'll be fine, and we'll be done with him. OW!..Ooh, that's nice." The masseuse hit a particularly knotted spot in Magnus's back, but managed to loosen it up.

"Anyway... let's just enjoy the rest of our spa date. Happy Birthday Magnus..."

"Thanks, Aari. Ah! Ooh, that's the spot."

jeffery was still walking back to the hotel as he spotted a group of small children playing a ball game but before he completely passed them the ball they were playing with came rolling to Jeffery's feet followed by one of the kids picking it up and staring at jeffery for a second, jeffery let out a soft smile before the kid replied by yelling out "PEDOPHILE" and kicking jeffery in the shin before running off. jeffery simply grit his teeth and continued smiling as he carried on walking again.

lucario had gotten off the rock he was sleeping on and followed behind to see if jeffery was okay and saw what happened "okay this is weird,where`s the snap, where`s the anger...I`m really weird ed out" lucario muttered to himself as he continued following.

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

Magnus and Aari sat waiting for the rest of the group to meet them in the parlor of the resort hotel. Whilst waiting, Magnus accessed his Pokemon Box via a computer in the room, and switched out Quake with Tank, and deposited Scout for a possible new Pokemon. The first members of the group to get there was Rodney and Dani, shortly followed by Jared, Brandon, and Alan. Jeffrey managed to meet them as well, obviously quite upset, but trying to act nice and civilized.

"Alright..." Magnus said, as soon as everyone was ready. "Nice threads guys... you all look sharp. Let's get a move-on, we want to get there quickly."

The group managed to hail some taxis and rode to the restaurant they had picked. A semi-formal old-style place, with large wood-fired ovens, and an actual wine-cellar. As the group walked in, Magnus greeted and tipped the maitre'd, resulting in them being seated very quickly, and in a good location as well.

An attractive, violet-haired girl in her mid-twenties was their waitress, and she took all of their food and drink orders courteously, showing great skill in her job.

The assassin kept to the shadows, following the group of children whom he was to kill.

Go for the blond bloke first if you can, but kill one, and the others will follow. Gotta get this done right quick.

The assassin kept his bow close, the perfect weapon for killing silently in populated areas. It made little noise, and left naught but an arrow as evidence. A perfect killing tool.

"Thanks for coming, guys. It means a lot to me that you're all here, even you guys, Dani and Alan." Magnus thanked his friends for being there. "It's comforting to know that I have such good friends."

"Oh Maggie, this place is way to nice! I can't have dinner here, I don't have enough money, my mom only wants me eating at cheap places and only occasionally! She said, 'You only eat out once in a while, you have to mostly eat dinner at your uncles house and-" Dani cut herself off realizing what she had said, her lip quivered as it had many times in the past day, "N-never mind, lets just eat. I don't know how I could thank you Maggie, you have been just to nice to me considering I just barged into your life, I will have to find a way to thank you."

Dani stared at her lap, worried that she would make herself cry and ruins Magnus's birthday dinner. She decided she would keep quiet for the remainder of the night so she wouldn't upset herself.

"All right, I think someone's gotta say something here," Jared stood up and hoisted his wineglass. "To Magnus, who's been running the show for our little group for it seems like forever, and couldn't be doing a better job. I'm pretty sure half of us wouldn't be here without him, and I think I speak for all of us when I say, when's the food going to get here?" A half-hearted laugh came from the group. "But seriously mate, couldn't ask for a better traveling partner, or fried, and I hope to do you right tonight, although even if I don't, if all goes as planned, you won't remember anything anyways. Jeez, I'm no good at being serious. Anyways, happy birthday, mate!" Jared saluted Magnus with his glass, as the others lifted up their drinks and partook in honor of their de facto leader.

Hey, sorry for me randomly dropping off the face of the Poke-earth, haven't been felling to well recently.
I'll just continue on where we are, I'll get to that battle someday, sorry Shapsters

Rodney cheered along with the others, not in anyway trying to disguise his Orange Juice as alcohol. Rodney got up after the last of the cheering had died down and as the food came out and said "To us for looking suspicious and causing Mr.Helps-out-the-criminal over here to nearly Smokescreen us all to death and then threaten us with a knife, to Magnus! Happy birthday!" There were laughs and cheers as they remembered the day they met. While Aari, Brandon and Alan cheered for the sake of it, Dani kept quiet. The meals were placed, Rodney's being as usual half a Miltank worth of steak Magnus looked at him and said "You know, when this is all said and done and we all go home. You and your pokemon are going to eat your poor,poor family into poverty."

Magnus then addressed everyone and said "Thanks for this everyone, now. Let's eat!"

Alan gazed into his menu, searching and sorting through dozens of choices. Oh man, the choices. Goldeen garnished with butter, Sharpedo fin, a whole Staraptor!? Were they trying to make him salivate to death? He still managed to cheer in unison with the group, somewhat ignoring what the people themselves were saying.

In the end he had ordered the Staraptor, which was a lot bigger than he had remembered them to be. I should have ordered the Sharpedo... Throughout the meal he switched his attention about a few people. First upon the waitress. Then Jeffery, Dani and Magnus in turn. He was trying to just work out what to say to each person, a hard task while trying to eat respectably.

jeffery looked over the menu his eyes darting up and down looking for something that was`nt seafood.
"krabby NO,tentacruel NO....hey wait here's something hmmm did`nt know they served this steamed jigglypuff now that could be something" jeffery said to himself as he motioned for the waiter to come over so he could order.

"ummm garcon, may I please have one order of steamed jigglypuff and maybe a glass of soda to go along with it, thank you" jeffery said in the kindest voice he could muster before turning back forward.

"okay,acting nice is`nt that hard....still hate it though" jeffery thought putting on a small smile.

Magnus aren't you in school again? Use it there, mate!

Jared's top cut Tauros sirloin came in fairly soon after his toast. He thought about some of the other choices on the menu, but he just couldn't say no to a nice, thick slab of 100% Grade A beef. It was a weakness of his. He dug right into it, savoring the juices. He then called the waiter back over.

"Yes sir, is the steak OK?" he asked. At least this guy doesn't try with the phony French thing, this place definitely is classy.

"Oh yeah, that's awesome man, compliments to the chef, but I just noticed it's my man Magnus's birthday, and there is no celebratory bottle of wine on the table here. I think that needs to be remedied."

"But of course, any suggestions?"

"How about a bottle of your finest Port wine, I'd say from around the late 80s, early 90s. He's gotta drink something at least as hold as he is."

"I'll see what we have in the cellar," the waiter said smiling as he hurried off downstairs.

"I gotta say, if buddy comes through here, I may actually have to tip the guy. Hope he knows his stuff," Jared mentioned to Alan, Brandon and Magnus. In about a minute the waiter was back.

"Ah here we are, a nice vintage tawny port, from 1989, produced by a vinyard just outside of Olivine, I think you'll notice that this should have a nice oaken flavor to it as well as some of the natural pecha berry aftertaste."

"I knew you would come through....um....Matt! Atta be, this'll do quite nicely."

"Thank you, anything else sir?"

"Nah I think that'll do for now."

"Excellent." Matt the waiter hustled off into the the other room.

"Decent, decent," Jared complemented pouring himself a healthy glass. He made a big deal about the sniffing of the wine and the swirling, somewhat making fun of his parents from all the get-togethers they had while he was a kid. "Ah yes, I can smell the sea breeze from Olivine right now!" He took a quick sup. "Ah, now that is tasty, here guys, try it!"

Wine? Not what I would have recommended... Alan poured himself a glass of wine and proceeded to wash down a part of the Staraptor wing using it. He swallowed the concentration of meat and wine and 'Um'ed. He couldn't find the right words. There was no doubt it was tasty. But it was... oaken and aged, probably from being left to ferment in the wine cellar for the last decade. Not the things that Alan would usually look for in his drink. The aftertaste left much to be desired. "It's different... Different but good." -ish
