Pokemon RP Slots closed Chapter 11: I'm on a boat!

"Indeed she is, Dani." Magnus agreed with the girl. "I guess that's just her nature, though. Much of the data on Absol tells about it's solitary nature. The Pokedex says that in the wild, they only approach human settlements whenever they sense natural disasters. They go down from the mountains to warn people before about the impending danger, which is why people mistook them as a bringer of doom."

"What's that supposed to mean, Maggie?" Dani asked Magnus.

"What it means... Is that we leave her alone. She'll come around eventually... We just have to wait until then. Red, you may go back to playing. Eon, you too." Magnus checked his watch, then whistled for his Pokemon. "Actually, I have to get back to the hotel."

"Already?" Rodney asked. "It's not that late, it's only ten-fifteen."

"I know... but I told Aari I'd be back before it got too late."

"Oh, that's too bad." Dani said. "Is Aari your girlfriend, Maggie? Hehe."

She giggled at Magnus slightly, an air of naivety resounded in it.

"Yes... Yes she is. If you plan on hanging around us, then I'll see you again, Dani. Alan, likewise... It was good to meet you both."

Magnus called back all of his Pokemon, and Eon, and began to walk back to the hotel.

"Nice to meet you too," Alan replied before Magnus had walked away.

Staryu had been going around, meeting and greeting several Pokemon whom he had shared the water with, as had Magneton. Golbat had refused to stay still enough to hold a conversation though, relishing the night and it's wonders. "The air... The dark... Both so great. Why should it have to end?" But he was hungry, the Pokemon here gathered much too greatly to provide him any cover to feed properly. Very well. He would wait for the next battle.

Dani and Alan have been introduced (though I wonder whether Sharphoe has forgotten about this or just not bothered to show up) and we should be able to get going now. Maybe a story related something or other soon?

Nicky didn't take Lucario's comment lightly?

What was that, you glorified mutant dog? I should cut you down right now for insulting me like that? You think you are so tough? You think you can handle yourself on your own? Then face me, right now! Under the moonlight! We will settle this with a battle!

Was hoping it would come to this terrible, just remember if you're going to do the battle, then Fighting moves aren't that effective against Poison and Ground attacks are super effective against Lucario, also you've seen what kind of personality Nicky has so you know, try and keep him in character, eh?

poison does`nt do anything against lucario what with him being one part steel type and all

"oh your just asking for an ass kicking" lucario said angry about the mutant dog comment.

"bring it on you mutt" Nicky shot back.

lucario let loose an aura sphere out of nowhere hitting Nicky in the face not doing much damage .

"why you...." Nicky charged at lucario and hit him in the gut with a poison jab expecting lucario to be winded but having no effect lucario held onto Nicky's hand looked up at him laughing.

"wow it`s sort of common knowledge that poison does`nt do anything against steel types,but then again common knowledge eludes you does`nt it" lucario let loose a small chuckle before swinging at Nicky with a steel claw landing flush with it`s face causing Nicky to stagger back a little.

"so what happened to cutting me down eh,where`s that warriors spirit, let me guess it was all just an act, a facade a small delusion in that peanut you call a mind" lucario started laughing but was cut off by Nicky hitting him square in the jaw with a peck attack knocking him backwards.

"I`m going to end you" Nicky let out in a hoarse whisper looking visibly enraged about what lucario had said throughout the battle.

"well bring it on you overgrown lizard" lucario smiled as he wiped the blood from his mouth readying for another attack.

You want it brought? I will bring it to you then, you arrogant little cur!" Nicky leapt up and pounded the ground, causing a damaging Earthquake to be sent towards Lucario. It was a direct hit, and Lucario was hit badly, still somewhat shaking as the Earth stopped moving.

What.....what the hell was that? Lucario asked, gasping for air.

That was your comeupance, and it will be followed by a final serving of pain! Nicky began to charge at Lucario. Another Aura sphere was sent flying at Nicky, but he just deflected it away. He grabbed Lucario, bending him around him into a powerful Submission hold. I said I was going to end you, and I do not go back on my word! Nicky jumped up again and positioned Lucario for a slam onto the ground. Now taste the bitterness of defeat and shame, you impertinent bastard! The full force of Nicky's wait slammed through Lucario, a cry coming involuntarily from its mouth as Nicky also collapsed. Both attempted to get up. Nicky staggered to his knees, and looked over, seeing Lucario attempt the same. But the last attack was enough as Lucario fell back down onto the ground, swirls in its eyes.

Haha, you take that, you......you......ugh! The full effect of the Submission attack coursed through Nicky as he fainted away, his body hitting the ground with a thud. The silence of the midnight hour set in, punctuated only by the sounds of a cool breeze blowing in off the ocean.

both lucario and Nicky lay unconscious on the ground lucario started to stir first before weakly getting to his feet.

"I think we`ll call that one a draw" lucario weakly muttered wiping the blood from his mouth as he started walking back to the hotel looking over his shoulder at Nicky.

"eh he`ll be fine" lucario let out a small chuckle as he made it to the hotel and entering Jeffery's room before falling onto the couch.

"ow,I gotta do that again" lucario laughed a little before grabbing his sides as he drifted off to sleep.

"My my... So willing to rip each other to shreds? Why not simply enjoy the night while it lasts?" Golbat flew down beside the unconscious Nidoking. He withstood the first urge to grab a free meal while it lay there, deciding he might be poisoned if he quenched his thirst, but he poked the Nidoking a few times in the stomach. "Use all your energy in one attack why don't you?" He jumped back up to return to Alan, who had already begun his return to his hotel. Staryu and Magneton quickly followed him away, though Staryu did give a few goodbyes.

As the trainer entered his room and jumped onto his bed, his Pokemon moved into their preferred spots. "Long day, huh?"

"Too bloody right! We spend so long doing nothing on this island that I think I'm falling asleep half of the time!" Staryu had taken his place at the foot of the bed. "Seriously! We need some fun!" Golbat was hanging upside-down from the ceiling light, nodding in approval.

"Go on then. Tomorrow our holiday really starts."

Magnus got back to his room at the resort, and placed his stuff on the desk. He stripped down to his underwear, and hopped into bed. Aari was laying there, waiting for him.

"Well, how did your training go?" Aari asked sweetly, kissing Magnus after he had climbed into the covers.

"Pretty good, I guess. I had a battle with another Trainer, and we met Rodney, Jeff, and Jared at the Pokemon Center with another Trainer, a girl." Magnus cuddled next to Aari and fixed the pillows how he liked them. "Then Nicky and Lucario fought. It was pretty good too, though it would have been better if Nicky had managed to survive that Submission."

"Sounds like a busy evening. I wish I could've been there."

"Oh, I'm sorry I didn't call you." Magnus apologized.

"It's alright, you can make it up to me later." Aari had a smirk on her face.

"You want to tell me how I'm going to make it up to you?" Aari whispered something into Magnus's ear, and winked at him. "I see... and you want this right now? Alright... I'll get the lights."

Magnus turned off the lights, leaving only the bathroom light on dim, so that if one had to get up, they would not stumble over something in the middle of the night.

The assassin waited outside for Lucille and Kristoph. He was becoming anxious... his fingers itched for another kill. He heard a noise, and saw the newly married Team Rocket couple coming through the darkness.

"Glad you could meet us here. Here are pictures of whom your targets are." Kristoph handed a group of photos to the man. "I recommend going for the blonde male first, the one with the Typhlosion. He has been especially troublesome for us and for my brother-in-law."

"Right... I'll make sure not to miss."

"You had better not." Lucille warned. "If you fuck this up, I'll make you eat your own prostate."

"She's serious too..." Kristoph agreed. "I'm not joking, she'll do it."

"Right... I'll keep note of that. I'll bring you back new pictures... of their corpses."

"Then we're done here, good luck. We're not paying you for nothing." Lucille and Kristoph walked back into the shadows, leaving the assassin by himself.

"Bloody *****..." He said to himself.

Nicky finally got up and headed into the Pokemon Center.

Son of a *****, he groaned as he made his way to where Jared was sleeping. Well, at least I made my point.

He tapped his Pokeball and zoomed in.

lucario could`nt sleep due to his bruises keeping him awake.
"I wonder how beating me to a draw proves he`s not a hypocrite eh I never did understand he probably thinks he won, so delusional" lucario laughed waking jeffery up.

"lukie you better be laughing because of a really funny joke you heard and you plan on telling me or I`m going to tear your arm off and shove it so far up your ass you`ll be able to pick the plaque off your teeth" jeffery half-yelled in a hoarse whisper through the covers.

"yeah I was, Nicky nearly beat me but it ended in a draw kinda funny when you think about it" lucario replied.

"no not really now please shut your cake hole before I put you in your pokeball" jeffery threatened before falling asleep again.

"okay I`l be quiet" lucario said in whimper before trying again to fall asleep.

It had been an interesting night for Rodney, meeting new people and getting a gym badge. It was peaceful and calm Rodney felt himself drifting off to sleep when for a fraction of a second it felt like danger was on the horizon "Just my paranoid imagination..." Rodney mumbled as he drifted off to sleep.

I can honestly say I've totally blanked on the plot I had set up for this part so Magnus will be doing the plot movements until I catch up to speed, sorry for the lazy filler in the meantime guys.

Magnus had just turned off the lights and hopped back into bed with Aari, they began kissing when a knock on the door interrupted them.

"Can't you see the do not disturb sign?" yelled Magnus, who went back to kissing Aari, but the knocking continued, "Oh for the love of-"

Magnus grunted as he jumped out of the bed, wearing only his boxers he threw the door open, "What do you-" he cut himself off when he saw who was at the door, Dani in Norbert's arms, her eyes flooded with tears, "Dani? What in the world is going on?"

Dani merely sobbed as Magnus invited her in with a confused look on his face.

Magnus heard a knock on the door of his room, just as he and Aari were about to do what couples did. He dismissed it as nothing, then heard it again. Getting up, he answered the door in his underwear, hoping it would deter the intruder. He saw Norbert, the Blaziken he had just met, holding a sobbing Dani in his arms.

"Dani? What in the world is goin on?" Magnus asked, confused. "Norbert, you better come inside..."

"Magnus, who is it?" Aari asked, slightly annoyed. "If it isn't impor- Oh boy... something's up. Hold on..."

Aari pulled on a large shirt that covered her, and let Magnus bring the Pokemon and his Trainer inside.

"Who is this, Magnus?" Aari asked, concerned.

"This is the Trainer that was with Jeffrey and Rodney at the Pokemon Center." Magnus picked up his pajama bottoms and pulled them on. "Alright Dani... I need you to calm down. Take deep breaths, and talk to me. How did you find me, but more importantly, what happened?"

"I...I... I just don't wanna talk about it, he... I." Dani began quietly sobbing again, Norbert sat her down on an armchair and sat on the floor beside her, "Can I just stay with you please Magnus? I promise I wont be any trouble, I will just fall asleep on this armchair."

Dani continued sobbing quietly until it stopped, she had cried herself to sleep with Norbert stroking her arm. Norbert looked at Magnus and stood up,

Something terrible has happened to my Dani, but I am in no position to tell you what has occurred. She may tell you in time, she may not but for now I politely ask you if we may stay here for the night, I apologize if we interrupted anything important. I shall go back to my ball, we shall discuss more in the morning, thank you friend of Dani's.

And with that Norbert went back into his ball and Magnus was left to the quiet sobbings of Dani in her sleep.

"Of course, you're welcome to stay here." Magnus looked back at Aari for approval, because they both knew that this was an unpleasant interruption.

"It's okay, Magnus..." Aari assured him. "This is part of the reason I love you, you're such a kind person. Too kind sometimes, but I think it's sweet."

As Dani had calmed down and fallen asleep, only the occasional hiccup and sob revealed that she was there. With Aari asleep next to him, Magnus lay awake, wondering what could have happened.

Norbert seemed more concerned than angry... I wish I knew what happened... Is she okay?... She doesn't seem physically hurt... Why didn't she want to tell me?... Why did she come see me?... Why can't I sleep?!... I'm thirsty.

Magnus got up and pulled open the mini-fridge. He peered around and saw sodas, candies, and alcohol. He looked at the clock, it read 12:02. It was Magnus's birthday, he was eighteen now.

I'll save the drinking for dinner, when we celebrate. Until then, water will be fine.

Magnus grabbed a bottle of water, and coifed the contents quickly. After a quick trip to the bathroom, he carefully nestled himself next to Aari and forced himself to sleep.

Magnus awoke the next morning refreshed, despite his worrying about Dani. When he opened his eyes, he saw that Aari and Dani were still sleeping. He took this opportunity to take a shower. He let out his Pokemon from their pokeballs and gave them all some food, very quietly.

"Be quiet guys." Magnus said to his Pokemon. "The girls are asleep, and you're gonna let them stay that way. Got it?"

Magnus's Pokemon nodded in understanding, and continued eating. He turned on the hot water in the shower, and lathered himself whilst the bathroom enveloped in steam. The door to the bathroom was left open a crack, and Ryu felt the moist warm air coming from it. He slithered into the bathroom and slid into the shower, the source of the favorable atmosphere.

"Drago Dragonair..." Oh, this is nice.

"Ryu!" Magnus slipped a bit, but caught himself on a bar that was used to hang washclothes. "You scared me... What're you doing in here?"

"Dragonair Nair Dragonair.., Dragonair?" It feels nice in here... Can I stay?

"Not while I'm in here. It's a little bit creepy."

"Drago...Dragonair." Fine... I'll wait.

After Magnus had finished showering, Ryu slithered into the tub and warmed himself in the steam. After drying and placing a towel around his waist, he walked back into the bedroom of the suite to find that Dani was awake.

"Oh... you're awake." Magnus said, slightly embarassed to be like this in front of a twelve-year-old girl. "How're you feeling?"

"Oh just fine Maggie, thanks for letting me stay here last night, sorry I was here so late!" Dani apologized as she jumped off the couch, she skipped to the mini-fridge and opened it, "Do you have any juice Maggie? I'm really thirsty and all you have in here is water, I don't like water."

Dani stared at the almost naked Magnus as she awaited his answer.

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

"Yeah... There should be some juice behind the liquor in the fridge." Magnus eased into the fridge and pulled out a few bottles of juice in various flavors and handed them to her. "Here, help yourself."

He pulled on one of his shirts, and then a clean pair of underwear, before removing the towel, while Dani had her back turned. He pulled on a pair of shorts and his belt, as well as his socks.

"Hey, you hungry?" He asked Dani. "Because there's a free breakfast buffet on the top floor, for guests. Since you stayed here last night, that makes you a guest."

Magnus returned his Pokemon and placed their pokeballs on his belt, noticing that he still had Eon's pokeball. He decided to ignore it for now, and give it back to Aari after they had eaten. Magnus walked over to the bed, leaned over, and gave Aari a kiss on the lips. She stirred half-awake and looked at Magnus with a smile.

"Hey sweetie." Aari said with a yawn.

"Hey, I'm gonna go up and get some breakfast. I'll be back down afterwards, if you aren't already up. I love you." Magnus kissed her again, and pulled on his shoes. He saw Dani waiting and asked, "You coming?"

"Oh ya! I am starving, I didn't get much to eat last night 'cause I-" Dani stopped herself and went quiet, she heavily sallowed and went completely silent, she stood near the door and waited for Magnus to leave, her lip quivering as she reached for her Pokeball.

Norbert appeared and quickly noted that Dani was on the verge of tears, he lowered to her level and caught eye contact with her, she regained herself and smiled back at Magnus, her eyes were filled with tears but none escaped.

"Lets go Maggie!" she said as cheery as she could, "I sure am hungry!"

Magnus and Dani walked down the hall towards the elevator, with Norbert following behind them. Magnus knew that something was still bothering Dani about last night. He still didn't know what, though. Magnus pushed the up button and boarded the lift when it got to their floor.

"So Dani..." Magnus asked as the door opened to the top floor. "Are you going to tell me what happened, or what?"
